The most enjoyable thing about working for Revere Plastics was the people. 

The work itself ranges from either really easy to tideious and difficult. If you are any good and a fast learner, you constantly get stuck on the hardest jobs for months on end without being traded out. 

The job requires being on your feet for hours on concrete floors often covered in oil. You have to put up with strong smells with low quality ventilation and constant loud sounds.
Sometimes you have to cut your breaks short depending on how many machines they have you working on.

They constantly expect more and more out of their employees but don't pay for the extra work. They hardly meet the cost of living and are always looking for ways to cut cost with their employees. 

The people in charge have no idea how to schedule properly. They always wait until the last second to get the weekend over time schedule out and often end up changing their minds on what machines need to be run, other times they don't even have the material or extra parts required to run the machines they want.

They cut vacations short for certain employees to make them come in and run the more difficult machines. They over work their employees to the point of exhaustion and they can't get anyone newly hired to stay for more than a month.

For those that had children on certain weekends, they didn't care even though the employer would have been foretold of such events, you either showed up to work or got pointed on your attendance. They refused to try and work around it. 

They never do anything to show employee appreciation-any of that was up to the employees to plan themselves. 

I honestly would not recommend to work in such a place.

When I began at revere in August of 2013 I loved it. My immediate supervisor was hands-on, informative, and saw potential in me. My second day i was grabbed from the washer door line and put on the maytag line, the most difficult line in the factory. I excelled at the job and within two months had almost perfected the hardest job and was capable of doing everything required of any employee on the line. My co-workers were social, productive, and had a fun attitude. 

Our cell supervisors had been switched and for about 8 months, up until i quit everyday had gotten worse. The job itself wasnt the problem it was the treatment the employees received. Even though we did everything required of us and was the best line on any shift we were treated like we were unsatisfactory workers. The supervisor had been transferred to our cell because of the same attitude in another cell. Rumor was the factory was low on supervisor and with a 6 month training period they couldn't fire or relocate the supervisor. Rules of the factory were being broken by the supervisor and even though i had one of the highest seniority i was being forced the work every weekend and we were constantly being lied to. I loved the work and my co-workers but as hard as i tried to continue working there i couldn't bear the treatment and there was nothing i could do at work to relieve the stress.

They are very CRITICAL about the work that you do. I had a supervisor that told me to my face that I couldn't count what goes into the box and that I couldn't fill the box correctly.
They have a number counter on the machine that tells you how many goes into the box but the counters they use are faulty and you get blamed automatically by the second shift supervisor that you filled the box up too much or not enough. I was approached by another lady that told me that I was putting the parts in the box wrong when I had them in correctly 
There has been other employees walkout and quit this job I was working there for 3 nights and I was already ready to quit.
The supervisor and some of the employees thought that I was hired in through 
express employment and they treated me that way too very disrespectful. They think that someone doesn't know how high or how to place parts into a box.
That Thursday was my last night with 
REVERE PLASTICS it was a very short lived employment probably the shortest in my lifetime it is actually sad that they have employees in management that acts this way.


The pay is very low. The insurance covers nothing and even if you do meet your high deductible there is still NO copay or prescription benefit, and there is no option to pay more for better insurance. One of my co-workers who has the insurance had to opt to reject a prescription for antibiotic from a pharmacy and  instead try to find a comparable one IN THE FISH SECTION OF A PET STORE. Every person on the shop floor who actually works regards it as the worst or one of the worst jobs they have ever had, myself included.

Management deliberately lies to everyone, including when they recently lied about the changes to vacation policy, which ultimately resulted in everyone losing vacation time despite the lies told by management during the meeting about it.

Turnover is the worst of any employer I have ever had, and for good reason. There is a constant atmosphere of disrespect created by upper management towards the people working on the floor. 

That being said it is worth noting that the people on the floor who actually work are probably the best group of coworkers I have ever had. The shift supervisors as also great to work for, because you feel more like you are working with them than for them.

Cell leads were decent but the supervisors were particularly nasty to be around and very unhelpful. (On 3rd shift anyway.) Training is almost non existent, you either get a trainer that is gone 90% of the shift or one that sits on their phone and ignores you for the entire shift with no follow up or enforcement of training by supervisor. The work load for pay is very disproportionate. If you run auto presses you are running atleast 4 of them usually with an unreasonable amount of walking distance between all of them. If you are good at harder jobs you will not be rotated off of them nor are you given any kind of bonus or appreciation for doing them well. The mandating process for weekends is horrifying, I sometimes found myself working 20-35 days straight without a single day off and a terrible attendance policy to even help myself get a day off when I was feeling physically unable to work due to over working me. Co-workers were the only reason I made it through an entire year there.

I had worked for almost about a year as a part-time their willing to work with you to help you with the basics but the management is questionable you'll four people in charge if the main supervisor isn't there if talked to him about wanting to try something new you'll most likely be put somewhere else if you ask HR for help depending on the person you'll most get the run around or you'll have a hard time getting in touch with them if you're on a packing job you'll most likely be waiting a long time for the drivers to bring box's because their almost impossible to find no matter how many calls you make for boxes also bring something to do while your there if you're working on an automatic machine they'll let you use earbuds because you will get bored if your assigned a team lead Donna Burkhead will be best your chance to help you for your first day Bobby and Lisa 

Revere plastic is a place that will tell false hope stories to get you in the door. they micro manage everything you do to the point it's almost impossible to do your job.they make promises they cannot keep when it come to pay, promotion ,standards ,and that they are actually doing good. They are behind in all aspects of a good company. 

Fast paced work environment; Multi Task daily; Challenging Sales and existing work flow check list daily for new; I learned varies things from spreadsheets analyst to sales on a production part that weighs barely a pound; Experienced and learned purchasing for a multi million dollar plastic production parts for one of the biggest Corporations in the World (market/base), material management with price monthly and purchasing through Bulk, Truck Loads and Less; I enjoyed every aspect of the actual job, assisting the Sales Manager to also a Billion Dollar Corporations varies tasks; Administrated Sales; Calculated Pricing for Production; Filing; Small tasks such as ordering office supplies and planning lunches;

This company will break your will, and then keep treating you worse. You will work every weekend. You will be forced to work outside of your department because they can't keep employees. The only well paid people are skilled trades and management. You will be screamed at and treated like scum of the earth. Employees have been in physical altercations and keep their jobs, even getting promotions. Management members have worn anklets supplied by the state. They're on their 3rd HR department in 2 years, and still can't figure out why no one wants to work there. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The first few years were good.  But the last 3 years there really wasn't a best part 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Starting your shift and having to clean up the shift  before mess night after night. Didn't matter if you told supervisor or HR  nothing ever got done about it

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
With the turn over ofnpeoplenit changes week to week

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful.. Trying to clean up from shift before while doing your job. That takes up about the first cpl hrs. Them you are praying for shift to end so you can leave
