This was by far the easiest job I've ever had, and it paid a lot as well.  You either check in people who need a covid test, escort them to a tester, or input results in software.

The company itself was very informal and seemed almost desperate from what I experienced from the interviewing process.  There was trouble with paying the staff for the first few weeks or so, but was eventually settled.  They ignore any feedback.

With management, it all depended on who they hired as a team lead.  The majority of my time there was great, as the team leads at my location were efficient and good at what they did.  However, when I had to move to another location due to the location closing, that was another story.  The team lead there was very "my way or the highway" type of person and made it very clear about having favorites.  

After a week of working there, me along with the other transfers were dropped a half hour before the shift ended; they said that they were overstaffed, but was soon told it was politically driven.  I was lucky and was looking elsewhere and accepted a job the day we were dropped; but there were people who were relying on this income.  It was extremely unprofessional.

Overall, I wouldn't work for Rhino again.  Job was easy and the pay was great, but with the people, it was the luck of the draw.  If you're flexible, like to travel, and have tolerance for some office politics, go for it

-Plenty of work to be done (easy work, ridiculously high volumes). Could have definitely used more hands on deck. 
-Staffing company was a bit behind others in certain areas: paper timesheets from providers, paper checks sent via snail mail, common payroll mistakes, inefficient ways to complete tasks...etc., but gradually getting in with the times. 
-Work life balance could be great if I left on time, but I often worked overtime to get tasks done by deadlines.
-Everyone is super friendly and understanding here. Monthly company events were really fun. 
-CEO and management were typically really cool, unless they were stressed out - when that was the case, had to walk on eggshells around them or risk being spoken to or about in a condescending manner
-it's a medical staffing agency, so you deal with many, many upset healthcare providers on the phones. I often started to question the medical capability of RNs and MAs due to their lack of understanding of seemingly simple concepts. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Rhino Med was a very good company to work for.  I never had any problems with them at all.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
My position was not stressful in the least.  I was a Covid testing nurse at several of their testing sites.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment depends on where you go.  Hospital or nursing homes, but in all honesty the environment is what you make of it yourself.  If you want to listen to all the chatter of nurses complaining/ remember that all the nurses are not employees of the same corporation usually.  Just do your job and keep away from negativity. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work was very busy, but the flow was smooth and the days went by very fast.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The customer service for meeting the needs of their Nurses was always pleasant and proficient and timely. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This team were great problem solvers. If one of the Nurses were a problem, they were fired for poor performance. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A diverse fair culture.  Recruiters always ready to support their nurses in potential or actual adverse situations. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Supportive and pleasant. Sign in and out on computer keep a log of your hours on a computer system and parking expenses were also paid an attached photo of your paid parking ticket.

Rhino medical is very unprofessional. It’s hard to ever get in touch with the account managers. They never return calls and definitely not emails but as soon as they need to talk to you that is the only time you will hear from them. They lie to you about their contracts and basically tell you anything just to get you to the covid or vaccination sites and then go back on what was agreed. It’s ridiculous how much they talk a good game but are very fraud! It’s basically just a job that you do until you get a more better stable job because Rhino is a joke. The employees on the  testing and vaccinations sites is the reason they’re still able to continue business but they’re starting to make people not want to work through their company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing but the good co-worker that I got the opportunity to meet and work with under less than desirable circumstances.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being exposed to Covid everyday because of poor working conditions and a management team that didn’t provide proper PPE and when I did get Covid they didn’t even have a exposure control plan in place to take care of employees.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrible, worst place and most dangerous place I’ve ever worked in healthcare.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Confusing with poor management decisions made everyday.

Your experience greatly depends on your client manager. All have been friendly but I've gotten lots of fake promises for rate hikes for working certain days which never occurred. Per conversations with peers, others did get the promised extra pay. I've had to frequently correct one representative on my contract as he repeatedly gave me erroneous info. I've had a lot of fun, met great people and had a much more honest, productive relationship with my new team. 

It's good for PRN work. Overall, their are a lot of gaps in communication or miscommunication because of too many hands involved in overhead to payroll to training and easily gets confusing. Sometimes you get paid late because of very simple matters. I had one recruiter who just never responded one day. Ever again. You will get attitude from management if someone else fails to do their job correctly and the company that oversees this company shows up to ask about it because it means they are down a nurse. So I don't feel a strong sense of belonging or appreciation but it is easy work and decent pay for a good service to many communities so you can feel good about what you are doing. 

Good hourly pay. Inconsistant bonuses. Inconsistant CM. Billing dept inconsistant on checks ie (same hrs, rate of pay but different ants on weekly checks or check not arrived and you have to fight to get your check. If your doing a good job for Rhino you still have to nag them to get another job when one ends. Fair reviews. CM is rarely aware of other jobs you could move into and not much loyalty to place you, so you have to nag to get another job. Great professional nurses to work with. Good camaraderie with fellow nurses.


Since the very beginning the communication was very poor with everyone in the Rhino Medical Services Group. Not just me but everyone that worked with Rhino never had a full check since we started. we were always missing hours or we did not get a check at all. The managers were very unprofessional with the way they spoke with us, if they ever would return our calls. Would never work with this company again or refer anyone I know to work with them unless you want to miss money and have zero communication, then that would be the perfect place for you.
