As an employee, you are forced to work under Workforce Management Systems.  Managers micro-managed by orders, some hated it but some managers were so ego driven that it gave them a level of power to compensate for their lack of self-confidence.  They would always do things to sabotage certain employees ability to succeed or have an effective and efficient work atmosphere.  It was the most depressing atmosphere I have ever experienced. All the employees complained about the culture and the whipped lashed treatment.  

As an idea of what a regular day looks like, to start the day you log into the computer into Workforce Management,and CRM, you then have less than 1-3 minutes to get on a call.  They listened to every word, every breath and rated you on a strict dialogue worksheet of which you could get terminated by on ones subjectivity scoring of the call.  

If you needed to leave your desk for whatever reason, making copies, going to required meetings, to get water, the restroom, make a personal phone call, maybe you got physically hurt, whatever the reason, they would count that time against you and if it exceeds a point you could get terminated after being written up.

Many of the employees, including myself, experienced deliberate attempts of character defamation and sabotage of work performance. This is a normal practice for control.  I received the highest honors, awards, consistently all the quotas, was elected to train peers on my best practices in the effort to help increase their productivity of which it did.  However, no matter how good your work performance was, you could reach impeccable performance consistently at the end of the day it did not matter.

(Note: I am not a disgruntled employee, I am a Christian with good morals, I really loved my peers, we had great and supportive working relationships that still exist to this day. I loved the service I provided, not the culture of the company that the upper management promoted, HR Dept., Directors, VP's, and the CEO,) (Randy Best, Founder is an exception, he was very nice and generous as an individual)

Remember, "Workforce Management Systems"...It was the most slave driven atmosphere I have ever encountered. It was unlawful and they didn't even care if you felt that way. 
Employees were treated like cattle instead of humans. Only those conducting the treatment have great things to say but they even had to be careful. It was HORRIBLE!!! 

I must say that I worked along side some of the most brilliant, talented, creative, professional and loving individuals. But they all ended up hating their jobs and angry with themselves for getting trapped in the whirlwind of a slave master. Everyday, every conversation was regarding how to get out. Where to look for other jobs.Trying to take off in order to apply and interview with other companies.  Secretly, we supported each other, hoping to find better opportunities.

I made the wrong decision accepting a position with this company. Accepting a position I had reservations about was my mistake. I accepted because the salary was much higher than I have ever been paid. In fact, they offered higher than I asked for and I got caught up in that.

The position was not what I had expected. Day in and day out I did nothing but extremely manual entries. I did not learn new and enriching things.

The environment is hostile. Everyone is in a constant state of stress and everyone is very unhappy. You can only hear senior management refer to other employees as "idiots" or "incompetent" so many times before you just have to leave. These negative inferences do not promote growth or learning.

There is so much (manual and wasted) work to do that you often work in the evenings when you get home and on the weekends. This is a regular occurrence. The issue is not working extra, but working extra toward something that could be so much less time consuming, but the company refuses to invest in efficient business intelligence.

The turnover rate here is like nothing I have ever seen. New faces pop up weekly and just as quickly do they disappear. I should have seen a red flag when the HR coordinator asked me to start on an orientation day, something they conduct every two weeks. For a company to house two floors of an entire building and have to do orientations for new hires every two weeks (orientations contain 5-10 people) you should know there is an issue with attrition rate.

Beware of accepting a position here.

The positives is that it helped me learn about building online leads for my business, how to successfully close the deal for sales & working remotely. Other than that you do not receive raises & the company culture is very toxic. The lack of communication from the higher ups to everyone else in the company leads to a lot of confusion. The company unfortunately was toxic, blatantly racist, unqualified people were placed in management roles even though they did not hold degrees (which was a requirement) & more. It is a very unprofessional work environment and the company lacks integrity as some departments are encouraged to lie to students for sales. If you are someone who has ethics and speaks up about the unethical practices unfortunately, you become a target. This place does not like to nurture those who are visionaries and change agents. Sadly, the company says they want innovators, however, they berate the innovators and free thinkers. 

 I do appreciate the fact that I got to learn many skills that I now apply to my business. Also, being there helped me realize what I want in life & helped me invest in my business. I am now a successful entrepreneur working with clients for my business. This place is a stepping stone to help you get to where you want in life. The money is good to say you don't take work home, the job itself is very easy (but boring), & really you just have to show, do your job, & you get paid.

A typical day is never typical. I have different areas to manage and oversee. This year has been a huge year of change for me and my team and while it was incredibly hard and stressful at times, I am seeing calmer days now and I did level up in the amount of work and type of work i'm doing. It helps me feel like I'm developing and learning more each day.

The work culture can't be beat in my department. Everyone genuinely cares  and is accepting of one another. The work life balance is great. My work is fast paced and busy and never routine (which I love) but others in the department have the opposite experience. 

The hardest part is managing all the moving parts but it's also the most enjoyable for me. I love learning so I need to constantly be challenged and pushed in order to feel satisfied. I think the pay is pretty fair but could be higher but I'm sure everyone says that. The flexibility of work and support of in our department are something I would be wary of ever leaving, it's the best work environment I've had and while it has hard times, I am pretty consistently grateful to be working where I am with the people we have.

ANSWER CALLS AND TRANSFER TO THE ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST WHO PITCH THEIR BEST TO HAVE A STUDENT AGREE TO GO TO SCHOOL. GENERALIST ARE REQUIRED TO GET A NUMBER OF TRANSFERS TO ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST  MID MONTH/ FULL MONTH. EX. 275 TRANSFERS. 

* WHILE THIS MAY SEEM EASY, CONSISTENT CALL FLOW ISN'T ALWAYS COMMON. TRANSFERS ONLY COUNT WHEN IT IS AN OUT BOUND CALL. 

ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST - SALESMAN! THIS IS ALSO A QUOTA LEAD POSITION! MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN FIRED FOR NOT MEETING THE APPLICATION GOAL. THE ES IS ALSO REQUIRED TO MEET THESE GOALS. 

STUDENT SERVICES - RETENTION! THIS IS A CAKE WALK! THESE PEOPLE BASICALLY TALK TO THE STUDENT ABOUT WHATEVER UNDER THE SUN! JUST TO KEEP THE STUDENT INTERESTED IN FINISHING THEIR DEGREE.

I was eager to work for this company because of what their mission was, after 6 months of applying, I finally got hired for a Student Coordinator position. The interview process was lengthy, I interviewed with 6 ppl, took a written test, and a phone test, so I thought I was walking into a well managed environment.. well that wasn’t the case. The retention department is like a party atmosphere mixed with an office environment, a few people trying to work and the rest of the people laughing, talking, singing and eating full course meals.. this includes the “leadership”. There is no structure, you want to come and do nothing all day.. cool, you want to come and actually help students, that’s cool too, but be prepared to have your student continue to repeat themselves because the background is so loud. I came here looking for a career, it’s just a call center job with very immature leadership and Associates. If that sounds good to you, go for it. If not, please stay away.

If i could give 0 stars I would. micromanagement is everywhere. QA calls are awful and has no guidance. depending on who is listening to the call will determine what grade you get. managers are horrible and micromanage everything you do. cant stay in wrap longer than minute. a call every 2 minutes or someone is yelling at you. rules change daily-no consistency, no direction, no one cares. HR is of no use-they are not there to support you at all. benefits are horrible-they cost more than what you make every 2 weeks; no fmla-no salary-just hourly. for this to be higher ed it is like a call center with a high turnover rate. it was a horrible experience and i am thankful i got away! if you are looking for a job just for awhile-apply. if you are looking for longevity and a career-run the other way!

The company overall is mostly fine. It does really depend on who manages you and how they view running their team. 
There can be a good deal of repetitive tasks during the day. 

Compensation really could be better, as well as pay transparency. It is also very difficult to move up within the company as there are not many upper roles offered. It seems like people are stuck for a while prior to getting an advancement opportunity. 

It is obvious that the upper management isn't taking into consideration the differences in departments when making companywide decisions. 

Overall, it is a pretty relaxed place to work, and I've had positive interactions with everyone that I have been able to collaborate with.


On a day-to-day basis I am able to perform my daily duties and learn in a growing organization.  I have grown in the higher ed community and worked on various levels and seen growth in the on-line sector.  My manager is very supportive and encourages me to grow and continues to challenge me to learn new skills.  I believe the culture within the company stays consistent even after we became remote.  Work Life balance is the hardest part of my job - I can always find work to do; have to remind myself to end my day.  The most enjoyable part of my job is learning all of the various aspects of higher education and the processes of universities.

I loved this job when I started. The company was all about the students best interests and needs. No dialer and no script initially. Now they’ve torn apart teams that worked well together and you no longer support just one or two schools. You support only a specific degree program. It’s a dialer system, very call center and metric driven and it’s absolutely ridiculous to ask for referrals on every call, when a lot of students aren’t qualified, are worried about costs, and are not committed. This new structure and all the layoffs make this job terrible. Oh extremely awful pay increases around 1% even thought you’ve met and exceeded all metrics.
