River City is unlike any other company/team I have ever been involved with. Everyone is so excited upbeat and enjoys coming to the office everyday! The management team makes it a priority to make sure everyone around them is growing and learning. The training is not only paid but very hands on. I have learned so much from everyone around me at River City that has not only helped me in my professional life with them but also my personal life. It is a very team oriented environment. They don't wait for holidays to come around to get the office together or to reward their employees. They get everyone together at least once a week and are consistent in throwing extra bonus money for the hard work of their people.  I for once enjoy coming to work. Its fast paced, I'm constantly learning, and know I now have financial security.

If you are good at selling products and grow within a company then this is the company for you. Unfortunately, while working here I dealt with several issues. 1. Was let go without an explanation 2 when joining the company there was no cut-off by when a sale was needed 2 boss was difficult to contact 3 my check was "three" months late. After sever times trying to communicate with the boss I was told that I was making up my hours when the management had not saved my work forms 3 I only received my check after threatening the company with legal action

This is my first job out of college and River City Marketing was able offer me career not just a job. In general it is great experience, enough space for career growth.Great company and place to work for. Wonderfully pleasant work and clean environment with good, friendly people to work with that felt like family. Management always on hand when and if needed to lend a hand, but never over managed.
Busy time priority work but very workable. Love this company and people, both internal personal and external customers too. This company thought me a lot as in life also in business perspective.

Overall the job is straightforward & the pay is good. I was fired after my first 5 days because I hadn't closed a deal. I was told to meet a certain number of calls a day but when they told me we were parting ways, they told me it was because I was taking breaks during my 8 hour shift. I was under the impression that I just needed to make my calls. I felt very blindsided by this and it made me question the ethicacy of the company. If you're gonna work here, make sure you know whats expected of you because they'll fire you know hesitation.

No leads provided, one on one sales, your ability to communicate and keep a person interested was all on you. Product selling was limited by demographics, long days.
Management was via text communication, no hands on assistance.

Culture was dog eat dog, top salesperson gets all the glory.

Hardest part is enduring long hours, standing, rude people and uncertainty of income week to week.

Enjoyable moments, meeting high profile individuals and having an impact on community events.

A typical day at work would be going to the office in the morning and do some 1 on 1 training/learning. Learning 4 impulse factors, 8 great work habits, and also product knowledge. The management was fantastic, me and a few other co managers were always leading from the front and setting a great example. Co workers always had a great time and a awesome personality! The hardest part about the job, was to build a team. The most enjoyable part of the job, were the people and the sales.

The work culture is amazing, Management is always hosting work get together for sporting events or conferences. The coworkers you would meet here have a great attitude and are always looking to help out, its really team motivated. Management reviews your work and progress offering mentoring and considering you for promotions frequently. Pay consist of a base plus bonuses, and we are paid every week!

This sounds like a fun job and it is. The people in management are amazing and the owners are fun as well. My only problem is the product. You can train and go over everything all you want, but if someone says no they mean no. It's hard to sell a product that is a want and not a need. For some this comes easy, others not so much. Be prepared to commute as well. If you can't take no for an answer this isn't a job for you.

There is no company culture, there are no warm leads provided, the company was untruthful it's interview process, and practically required me to be untruthful about what we provided for the businesses we called on.  I have over 20 years of sales experience, and have never felt as dirty as I did in the short time I worked for them.  Don't, just don't...

This is great if you can sell dirt to a ditch digger. You stand in Sam's clubs selling for DirecTV/AT&T.  No one comes to Sam's thinking about buying DirecTV; however, we sign more people up than AT&T does.  There are some people who make a killing at it and are able to train others and then build and grow their own organization; which is great, but not all people are able to do that.
