I am a current Director of Operations with RJB. I started as just a Project Manager and given the opportunity I was able to work my way up the ladder in the company. This is a challenging yet rewarding career. Like all companies there are times you are pressured and under the gun but unlike all companies you are rewarded in the end!!

meeting with clients and supervision of the employees

Freedom to work at your own pace.

I worked overnights, when I was there did not find it stressful at all.

I feel everyone was working towards the same goal.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Mostly just general cleaning, basic stuff.

I really enjoy working in the Chicago Public Schools. A typical day consists of detailed cleaning of all the classrooms and restrooms. The challenging part of this position is moving from school to school. Although you meet a vast amount of people and personalities sometimes I get attached and want to stay at a particular school. I enjoy the kids that I see on a daily basis. Those interactions wh the students make my day fun and quite enjoyable.

Cleaning from top to bottom at different locations such as apartment buildings, schools, and Aldermans offices. I learned about the products that we used, an how to professionally clean a floor. Manament was all about the business which I loved, so was my co-workers. The hardest part of the job in the begining was operating the buffer. I enjoyed all aspects of my job.

Had time to see how my staff learned how to do things on their own. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The worst part was not getting paid for the work you did. They had a contract to pay prevailing wage and did not pay it.

The work environment was not bad if you like to be micro manage.

Worst place to work especially at the schools

The employees are very stressful

Stressful and racist. A typical work day Is disrespectful

start off checking the building ,walking the ground assign people their job do a preventative maint. check on equipment. start doing work orders.i learn that not all the problem are same each need a different appoach.the management let me do my job ,the hardest part of the job was if i couldnt finish.

I've been working for RJB for over a year now and I can't complain because they take pride in their workers. I've had numerous jobs in my 51yrs of life & I've learned where ever you work, it will be some type of issue because of the experience with different people & their personalities! Making my long story short RJB has always had an assignment or job for me.

R j b is a good company to work for if you are a part-time employee. You have some flexibility in the locations that you acceptl and the pay is pretty good for part-time   you are always working with someone at the school who can give you on the job training
