What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This was, without question, one of the most toxic work environments I have ever experienced. Leadership consistently deflected responsibility, refused to take accountability, and failed to communicate effectively. Ongoing issues with my direct manager created daily instability and unnecessary stress, making it impossible to work in a healthy or productive manner. Her behavior was erratic and unpredictable, contributing to a hostile and psychologically unsafe work environment.

Leadership consistently badmouthed employees.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was highly challenging, and the organizational culture was even more concerning. Employees were routinely expected to work 12 plus hour days, and management was directed to issue disciplinary actions if tasks were not completed within established timeframes. The prevailing culture promoted an expectation of complete personal sacrifice in service of the company. There was no work-life balance, and members of management engaged in guilt inducing tactics and spoke negatively about employees among themselves.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at work involved managing the controller’s mood swings and attitude. She frequently engaged in power driven behavior and spoke negatively about members of the team, often presenting herself as superior and treating associates as though they were beneath her.

I manage a 55+ community, so there is no typical day.  It is a lot of FUN!  And that is what we are here to provide to our guests and residents.  Most are  "snowbirds", so they want a vacation atmosphere, and we aim to provide that to them.  

As for the company, if you work hard and share the values and philosophies of the company, the career opportunities are there for you.  The leadership team is approachable and is there to support you.  The company is continually growing both as a company and as a culture.  Because of our "Morning Huddle", which is a virtual meeting with any and all from the company, I have met and befriended so many people, and it really makes you feel like you are part of something.

Most enjoyable part of my job is making sure our residents and guests are living their best life.    The hardest part is losing them, which in a community of 55+ people happens more often you want.

I could retire, but choose not to because of the company, it's values and it's leadership and most importantly because of my colleagues.  And because I feel valued and appreciated.

The mail arrives by postal carrier. Then the mail is sorted into bins that coincide with the mailbox numbers. Then we put the mail into the correct mailboxes.  A pink slip is inserted into the proper mailbox for packages that are too large for the mailbox. I keep track of all the residents and rentals and RV's that come into the park and give updated weekly lists to the Security at the front gate. 
The toughest part of the job is being yelled at by some residents for things I have no control over, like when the mail is delivered to me.
The best part is seeing and talking to many different people and getting to know them. Most are very pleasant and appreciative of the job I do.
Management really isn't all the involved in what I do, unless someone complains.

I have had a fantastic experience working at Roberts Resorts and Communities. As a family-owned company, they truly prioritize their employees and foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The management team stands out with their open-door policy, always willing to listen and assist with any issues that arise. This approach has created a supportive and collaborative work environment.

After working for this company for 5 months having over a dozen emails asking for training on what was expected of me I was fired for not being a team player? Mixed messages from all my upper management. My direct boss told me the day before I was let go I was doing a great job! Keep up the great work. And then after a meeting with district management and discussing COVID changes I was let go within hours. Because he told me safety was no concern for resort its going away in November. NOW there is an outbreak in the community. NO CONCERN for employees or residents! Many safety issues I was trying to address as OSHA concern were also ignored. Manager had no spine and would not stand up for what was right or needed for safety.

The company offers competitive benefits, paying a large portion of the health insurance making it affordable to the employees. Upper management is easy to work, my regional manager is approachable and supportive. HR is very helpful, onboarding was easy. 

The company takes pride in the appearance of their properties, so in turn you take pride in the property you manage. You are encouraged to self-develop, with full support from the company. They are open to new ideas.

 I enjoy all the guests that choose to stay with us, each has a unique story to tell of their travels. I enjoy seeing them driving down the street heading into the resort!  


A day at work is usually smooth running. Every job has its ups and downs depending on the day.  the management is very helpful and quick to response and take care of any issues you cannot take care of yourself.  They are very supportive.
Hardest part of the job is having to deal with some folks that just don't get it.
I enjoy working here mainly due to the Ceo of the company. He cares about his employees and encourages them to be the best that they can be.

I have really enjoyed working for Roberts Resorts & Communities.  The atmosphere from your Co-Workers, Upper Management to the Home Office and staff has been Amazing.  Scott Roberts truly cares about all his employees, and this is one of the reasons why I am so happy that I work here. The Management team is very supportive, and they make you feel like you can come to them with any issues or concerns.  I am so happy to have this opportunity to work in a beautiful Resort in Moab and have the support of a great company!!!
