Great Credit Union, by all means invest your money there but for the love of God If You currently have a job that you’re mildly happy with, KEEP IT! 
Don’t waist your time with this “senior maintenance” position. I was there for 2 months, “I CANNOT OVERSTATE THIS ENOUGH” You will be SHOCKED at the unprofessional manner this maintenance department is run by a guy who doesn’t know his A from a hole in the ground . I’ll share with you an example of what the facilities manager considered good management and knowing his staff. You take a staff member that doesn’t know any better and that he knows is so job scared that the poor guy wouldn’t say anything and have him pull HEAVILY MOLDED wallpaper off with 0% PPE ! It’s just SAD for the staff that’s stuck there and to invested to leave! I was however told by colleagues after I put in my notice to leave that I was # 7 in a line of people who have been there, saw how it was run and knew better than to stay working under this joker. Take  my review for what it’s worth to ya but if you are a skilled maintenance worker and you have choices, KEEP LOOKING! again, do not waist your time.

This is an excellent place to work that promotes a healthy work life balance. I enjoy the coworkers and management is often tasked with rewarding employees and promoting a team environment. Working with the public can be difficult; however, it is rewarding to help members achieve their financial goals. 
We help incoming (walk-in traffic), call to follow up members have with tellers about products and services, and make outbound calls to current members about ongoing promotions. 
The hardest part of the job is the ever changing expectations. Midway through a quarter new objectives are set that back pace the current goals. (Goals are set for the quarter and annually.)

What is the best part of working at the company?
I genuinely absolutely loved my job. My teller supervisor maybe wasnt the best but I LOVED my job. Robins has some of the most in depth and generous employee programs. I was devastated about no longer working there. I would accept my job back in a heartbeat. This is the best company I ever worked for.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
My teller supervisor was really the only stressful thing about my job. I absolutely loved working for Robins. I'd take my job back in a heartbeat.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We were basically like family. I've never genuinely loved my job and workplace before Robins and I dont know if I ever will again. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was a teller, so front line for member satisfaction.

Robins Financial is a great company to learn about the ins and outs of banking. There are limited opportunities for career advancement (more below), but you will get what you put into your time here. Working with several different departments was fulfilling but also frustrating when given conflicting information. Overall, it is the best financial institution to work at in the Middle Georgia area.

Note: YMMV depending on the branch/department you work in, some are good and some are great. 




Robins Financial Credit Union offers a great training program that allows their employees to feel confident about banking. As a credit union, the company is also able to offer great benefits and lower rates to the members. I started my career at RFCU in Processing and within 3 years I was promoted to a Member Service Representative. As a MSR I was given more responsibilities with lending and eventually promoted to an MSR II. There a lot of loyal employees there because of the great work atmosphere and friendly management.

The most enjoyable part of the day was working with the members. They were a real pleasure. That is what I really miss about working for Robins. 
Micro managing and bullying by management was what pushed me out the door. I absolutely do not recommend working for Robins. Just scroll on past this job “opportunity “ and consider yourself lucky that you didn’t dip your toe into this company. 
It’s a very TOXIC working environment!!

Robins FCU is a great credit union but they treat their employees unfairly. I’ve seen a lot of favoritism to newer employees as far as job advancement leaving seasoned ones on the teller line. A lot of employees request transfers due to poor management at the branch they are at but are constantly turned down. It’s not fair to hold someone back from reaching their fullest potential. There should be no reason to sit in your supervisors office all day and gossip about other coworkers.

The job itself was easy but the referral goals are unrealistic. We were being pressured about loans as if Robins was a bank. The health insurance benefits were excellent but the pay was not up to par. People with degrees are not fairly compensated. I was bullied by my branch manager for over a year. I requested to be transferred to another branch due to this and was repeatedly refused.

Management micro managing over everything

The work team was chill and family-like. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Basic teller transactions. Cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, etc.

There is so much favoritism in this company and even if you reach out to HR concerning how a manger treated you, it will get shut down and nothing will be done. This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for and that is saying a lot. Only the favorites get opportunities for advancement. The managers don’t do their jobs and tend to just walk around and talk most days. It is hard to get management assistance when you need it also.
