What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working in healthcare, especially in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, is the emotional and physical intensity of the work. Our team cares deeply about our residents, and with that level of commitment comes moments that are fast‑paced, unpredictable, and emotionally heavy.

At Rocky Mountain Care Logan, we often navigate complex medical needs, tight timelines, and the natural challenges that come with providing high‑quality, person‑centered care. That can be stressful at times. But what makes the difference here is the support system. No one carries that weight alone. Our staff leans on each other, communicates openly, and steps in whenever someone needs a hand.

The work can be demanding, but it’s also incredibly meaningful, and the team’s resilience and compassion make even the hardest days manageable.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
What stands out most is how supportive the team is. Healthcare can be demanding, but there’s a real sense of “we’re in this together.” Staff members step in for one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and communicate openly when challenges arise. That creates a workplace where people feel valued, trusted, and respected.

We also put a strong emphasis on growth. Whether someone is new to the field or has years of experience, there’s always encouragement to learn, develop new skills, and take on opportunities that help them advance.

After many years in my career and working for several different employers, I can honestly say this is the best company I’ve ever been a part of. The difference starts at the top with the CEO and leadership team, who truly lead by example. Their commitment to employees, customers, and company values is clear in the way the business operates every day.

What stands out most is the follow-through. Promises are not just talked about — management takes action, communicates clearly, and supports employees with the tools and guidance needed to succeed. The culture is built on respect, accountability, teamwork, and recognition for hard work.

This company creates an environment where employees feel valued and motivated. Great benefits, strong leadership, open communication, opportunities for growth, and a genuine focus on work-life balance make this an outstanding place to work. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful thing about working at a great company is usually the pressure you put on yourself to keep performing at a high level. When you’re surrounded by talented people, strong leadership, and a culture of accountability, expectations are naturally higher. Everyone cares about doing great work, meeting commitments, and supporting the team, so there’s a constant drive to stay sharp and deliver your best.

At the same time, that kind of environment is often what makes a company successful and rewarding to work for. The standards are high because leadership genuinely cares about quality, employees, and results — and that can be motivating as much as it is challenging.

As an administrator of a home health agency, I have dedicated the past 26 years of my life to Rocky Mountain Care—and I can say without hesitation that I plan to retire here. My journey with this company has been nothing short of extraordinary, and much of that is due to the remarkable leadership and vision of our senior leadership team.
This group leads with a rare blend of inspiration, kindness, and high expectations. Their leadership style has not only guided the company to excellence but has deeply impacted me personally. I have the utmost , trust, and respect for this group as they truly see people, and that perspective is the heartbeat of our organization.
One of the most defining moments in our company’s evolution was when our mission statement was revamped to a single, powerful word: “PEOPLE.” That’s not just a slogan—it’s a deeply rooted philosophy. We believe that all people deserve the highest level of compassionate care. We believe our staff should be treated with the same respect, dignity, and kindness that we offer to our patients. Rocky Mountain Care is a place where I feel that I am able to bring my whole self to the work. A typical day can include visiting facilities, supporting leaders and helping teams strengthen daily improvement systems that keep our focus on patients, caregivers and achieving world class results.

The culture here is rooted in integrity, innovation and continuous improvement. It’s a place that believes the people doing the work know how to solve the problems and that every voice matters. Leadership truly models humility and authenticity, which creates trust and space for great ideas. "That is not my job" type thinking is not in the culture here.

The hardest part of my role is ensuring that information gets all the way to the “end of the row” and that every perspective is heard, especially as my team leads enterprise wide change. The most rewarding part is getting to know the awesome caregivers across our communities and supporting their excellence. We have fun, we play full out and we grow together with purpose and integrity.

I just recently quit because the job had become too much. I was hired on as Transportation, but as time went on my responsibilities continued to expand, to the point that I was de facto Department Director when my boss was out, and I was just not compensated for any of it. At one point my boss left the company for another job, so I had to fill in the position for two months because they had no one else to do it. So I did my best, working under the assumption the job would be mine. When they hired someone else to do it. Who quit after a week. Back to me having full responsibility of the departments. I had started putting in for PTO, I was nearing the cap off of about 120 hours, but every time I requested or asked off I was denied. They finally hired another guy to fill the position, and I was expected to train them. I was told there was no way I could get a raise, but the job posting for my old job clearly says otherwise. Some members of management were wonderful, many of coworkers were great, but some members of leadership were incredibly incompetent and would just sit in meetings all day and would work from about 9am to 3pm. I would be chastised and "coached" for working overtime, but I was also made to stay past my scheduled shift repeatedly. I worked overtime consistently for well over a year. After a while it became abundantly clear that some members of leadership cared nothing for the patients of this medical facility but only their own careers. 

A Typical Day at Work:
A typical day involves managing census, ensuring quality of care, maintaining a clean and safe building, and keeping patients and families happy. Financial integrity and compliance are top priorities, but just as important is creating an environment where staff feel valued and supported. Each day is about keeping the building running smoothly both operationally and emotionally.

What I’ve Learned:
Culture drives success. When employees are happy and feel supported, everything else follows—patient satisfaction, financial success, and quality outcomes.

Management:
I feel supported by my manager. They are always willing to step up and help when needed, and they remind me to take care of myself, which makes a huge difference in a demanding role.

Workplace Culture:
Culture is a true focus of the company. Leadership genuinely cares about employee happiness and understands that it directly impacts the quality of care provided.

The Hardest Part of the Job:
The hardest part would be the same no matter where you work - balancing it all. Being responsible for the entire building, the staff, and everyone’s happiness can be challenging. Learning to trust and delegate effectively is an ongoing process.

The Most Enjoyable Part of the Job:
The patients and the employees. Seeing them succeed and watching the building thrive because of everyone’s effort is the most rewarding part of the job.

I feel pretty apathetic towards the company as a whole. I have enjoyed my time here and honestly the good and the bad are pretty much 50/50. The corporate office, the central hub, is a disorganized mess. No real order to anything, and no one gets trained exactly the same. This all trickles down into the many different locations they operate. There are no real company wide procedures or policies in place. They vary from location to location. There is a LARGE communication break down that desperately needs to be fixed. On the positive end of things, they have flexible hours with a good work/life balance. Pay is fair as long as you stand your ground when it comes to taking on extra tasks for extra compensation. If you don’t have a strong backbone and know your worth, they will take advantage. Most of the people you work with, you will enjoy, and it’s always fun getting to spend time with the residents. If the top of the chain here remembered to practice what they preach with their “outward mindsets” this place really has the potential to be something fantastic. Unfortunately, the bottom line always gets in the way, but we live in a world where money seems to be everything.. regardless, there are way worse places you could be working than here. Oh and if having insurance is import to you, their plan sucks. 

I am a CNA with 10 years experience and they don't care about how good of a job you do. I was working for Avant agency and they are affiliated with rocky mountain so they would send me to all the rocky locations. You can go in and do a good job with the other co workers and residents saying good things about you. But when something happens they don't have your back and management at most locations are not the nicest to the CNAs I remember having a hard shift at the heber location to where if you work for Avant agency you will be sent to heber and clearfield a lot but I stayed an hour past my shift in heber making sure everything got done and then management stopped me at the door and yelled at me for something I wasn't involved in that happened on a different hall I was working and when I explained that there was no sorry or thanks for saying extra to finish things and also clearfield has some rude management but you hardly see them on the floor but its never nice when you do. And the riverton location will run you with just two CNA for the full building and if you miss some charting or anything little they will report you regardless of how good of a job you did for the residents that shift. So its not a pleasant place to work plenty of places out there to where you will be treated better.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I had amazing coworkers at the nursing level. We had a wonderful local team. It was great to be out of the hospital environment and helping the community.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper management gave little to no support. Compassionate and empathy are nonexistent. Expectations were unattainable. Coverage area was huge, and there was constant criticism for mileage, when it was what I was required to travel. Many hours driving meant I was charting all night, often off the clock to keep from being written up for too many hours. This job affected my physical and emotional health severely.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Local camaraderie was great but we were all very stressed. Upper management created a very unsupportive, micromanaged, negative environment. There was no positivity or recognition for our dedication to our patients. Only criticisms.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start at 8, see too many patients over too many miles for too many hours, never see my family, chart late into the night, and get criticized continually for my efforts.

Working here was very stressful. Management had no communication to where someone would say yes to something or you would let someone know that you would be a little late and you would get calls from everyone else. Nights where we were so understaffed and had to split even for everyone none of the management would know and would come the next day and be confused as to why we were short or why things were changed. Agency runs the building because so many people have quit. I could never find anyone to help with pulling people up or hoyers because there was never enough people. Management is never there I only saw management one time early in the morning and that is because state was coming. It feels like every week we had a new DON and scheduler. The staff was so rude. The other CNA’s were very good at spreading rumors and the management always had favorites. Many of the newer nurses are rude and not willing to help. They won’t do anything on the floor even if nobody is there. And as you are trading after 12 hour shifts because we are so short there were time nobody was showing up to get report from you and nurses would threaten to report you for abandonment if you left even though it was 30+ minutes after your shift and you were given the okay.
