Rose senior living is a good place to work in the healthcare field. A typical day as an STNA is pretty standard: providing ADL’s, being caring and patient with residents, being a support for the nurses, and always doing the best to put all resident needs first. 

Management is okay. They are rarely on the same page when providing information about residents, new policies and/or protocols, and any other information that needs to be shared. One manager will tell you one thing, and another will turn around and say the opposite. This creates a lot of confusion and halts duties because nobody knows the correct information.  Management says they’re open door and invite you to come to them with problems. Usually doing so does not often lead to resolved issues. The Nursing Director is very good at her job and does not waste any time. She is very approachable and does her best to gently help with any situation she can while still having a  stern control of everything. Being where you’re supposed be and doing what you’re supposed to be doing is a good way to have no reason to have any negative interactions with her. 

Hardest part of the job is drama/tension amongst other staff. While most stay in their lane and complete their duties with no issues, there are a select few that are constantly causing drama with passive aggressive remarks and a misunderstanding of their role. Management rarely does anything to correct this so it makes it difficult to do your job with negativity around. Other than that there’s not a lot of difficult aspects with the job.

The most enjoyable part of the job is caring for and being with the residents. At the end of the day it is very rewarding knowing you’re making a difference in these peoples lives. Residents will share so much about their lives and you truly become so attached to these people. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t pour my heart and soul into providing excellent care for these residents.

Management can never find a solution to an issue. There is too many directors and managers of whatever department... no one knows anything to help. You can never get your situation solved by one person its always " I Can't help you talk to ..." and so on. 

Work load continues to get heavier. Some are willing to help, most do not. Some aides have been trained to only care for their Residents and not help the other aides with their assigned set. When you do ask for help, you are ignored. 

Residents are combative and rude. In memory care and in AL, Residents have been combative with aides and nurses. Residents are ALLOWED to speak to aides and nurses however they feel and no one does anything about it. We also have Residents in AL who definitely need to go to a memory care lock down unit. We have a memory care unit and they are not putting the residents with severe Dementia in MC, makes zero sense to me!! 

This facility used to be so amazing and fun to work for, but I guess after working here for a while, they have shown their true colors. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Going home to rest my body after administering medications to 3 (three) separate floors. 
Too much walking! 
Yes, the place is beautiful, poorly managed and the layout is totally discombobulated. Challenge: If Sales, Activities, Administrator, Director of Clinical Services during an 8 hour shift walked along side any worker to deliver medications or provide personal care. Each department would have concerns! or most likely would say "happy not me" ...then laugh, go hide in their respective offices. 
The excessive walking throughout the building causes repetitive injuries. Every Resident is scattered throughout.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No being able to provide more care. If there was adequate staffing each and every day. There would be less stress.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is no culture, very little diversity.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working at this company.  I would to say is the workers and the residents. The connections with the  the residents and the workers and the interaction with them sometimes can make your day go faster. Every one is very helpful and nice and the management and everyone is very nice and work with you  and helpful with any  questions you may have.

The most stressful part my job? I would I have to say nothing to me every one is nice and helpful

The environment  is positive. Every one  is warm and welcoming. They are really good with being flexible with ur schedule  and compression  and care about there workers

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at rose, to me mustly go by fast sometimes it can drag. Depending on how many rooms you have, but the day go by pretty fast around rose.

Thr best part was the residents 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management was horrible!! They only  have LPN's on staff, and the med- techs on staff are treated like nursing!! While the LPN  act like medical  assistance!!.. don't  get me wrong their are some good people  there  that shows up for their residents!!! The just need to hire better management!!!.. and stop being DESPERATE to hire anyone!!!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is not bad but they put employees against each other!! Having employees snitching on other employees!! To become a favorite to the management!! And the snitch gets away with doing nothing!!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is being short the majority of the time! With med-tech and QLS!! Most days things change that don't make any sense!!! And is not good for the residents!!!

Rose Senior Living is the worst company I have ever worked for. It was not the residents who made it bad, but the management and certain coworkers. Corporate needs to review ALL of the management staff and employees. Many staff members are targeted by management and staff. Once you do something “wrong” one time (such as being 3 minutes late to work one time or asking for help with a 2 assist resident) all of the staff are gossiping and talking down on your name to management. Management favors many people and will make sure you know you are singled out. I have been told by fellow employees and resident families that I did an excellent job with my residents, but that didn’t matter to anyone and was terminated. No one in management will answer your calls or texts or even your concerns and it will be used against you by HR. Do not recommend working here. If I could, I’d give it 0 stars.

The Rosé Senior living is like a fresh start its small its clean and its welcoming very friendly staff and residents.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is when someone doesn't pull there share of the workload or is no where to be found/ being on there cell phone all the time.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment can be a little stress depends on if we are here for the residents not just because of the money. The Rose is like a small community of family and friends.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I come in on time ready to work our residents are very active they have hair appt  they have  therapy bus trips so my day is busy assisting the residents.

Working at Rose has been a wonderful experience so far. My first impression of the community was that they hold themselves to a higher standard than most and that has proven to be true in all aspects. As a new employee I was greeted and treated with respect from every director and manager in the building, which was a warm welcome. They respect work/life balance and the supervisors want to truly see you succeed rather than just come to work. They are open to listening and fixing mistakes and are always looking for ways to improve things for residents and staff alike. I have been here 6mo+ now and look forward to being apart of the Rose Senior Living team for many years to come!
