Rx Relief

Rx Relief is the way to go if you wish to gain experience in the field of pharmacy, especially for those starting off as new pharmacy techs. Although it shows I rated 4 stars, I'd give them 4.5 stars. 

Initially, once you are in, they will have you float around into different pharmacies for a certain amount of time. So you will be jumping from one pharmacy to another, how long you will stay there depends on the employer. You will just work as a contractor, so don't make the mistake into thinking you are working for the company. 

Once you pass interview and actually get hired, you will most likely not float around anymore. Instead, you will be working for the company but still contracted. If lucky, you can actually get a job job that way if the company wishes to hire you. 

One of the great things about Rx Relief is that they can actually land you a job or set you for an interview pretty quick. Another great thing is payroll. For someone who has worked with them for 3 years, I never once had a problem with the payroll department. 

Pay is ok but go for Rx Relief for the experience only. If pay matters to you more, then it might not be the place for you. Stress level depends on which pharmacy you are assigned too. I had a great time working in really cool pharmacies with friendly staff, but I have been to other pharmacies that are complete **** with rude/mouthful/nagging coworkers/manager. 

Overall, Rx Relief is a great staffing agency for first time pharmacy tech recruiters. They really do work hard for you and make sure you get a job as soon as possible. You also learn new stuff along the way making you a better and more competitive tech of different fields to help you prepare in the future. I'd highly recommend it, but as far as how experience goes, that all depends where you are assigned to and how much effort you put in to your work. Good luck!

Rx Relief is a pharmacist temp agency.  They will e-mail the pharmacists when positions are available which can vary from single days to many weeks at a specific pharmacy.  The pharmacist will then email or call Rx Relief if they are interested in a certain job. Sometimes there is competition for jobs and someone else gets it first so it's important to check email frequently during the day for job postings.   I have gotten into the niche of working at 340B clinic pharmacies which are in rural areas.  They are United Health Center or IMG RX pharmacies.  The people at Rx Relief are very easy to work with.  I don't go to the office very often.  Most of the communication is by phone or email.   The hardest part of the job is traveling far distances occasionally.  Not all the pharmacies are close to where I live.  The most enjoyable part of the job is working with the technicians at the various pharmacies and counseling patients.

The only reason I am leaving is because after the interns got licensed I am down to little to no hours. I have been there over a year and theres no work for me. It is stressful and management and my scheduler has done all they can for me but there is only so much they can do. It is terrible that I went from 30-40 hours to 1-2 days a week. I have too many bills to pay and there is hardly any income coming in. There is also no vacation time and the minimum state required sick time so that is tough, however before the recent events I was able to set my own schedule and they were able to work around the days I needed off, so it more that made up for that. Im sad to leave but I have to pay the bills.

Rx relief is a company that can help those who are: 1. looking to begin their career and gain experience in a field they may otherwise may not have experience in or 2. Looking to further advance in their career by gaining skills/experience in their current field. In short, Rx relief provides their clients the opportunity to do so. The rest of one’s pursuit in career advancement is all on oneself and Rx relief is one essential tool in your career toolbox that you can rely on. The rest is all on the user to perform. 

A typical day would be getting medication ready in the morning to go fill while also helping nurses with anything about patient medications. I learned about Pyxis and working with nurses while also figuring out issues in the hospital relating to pharmacy. Management is well managed with the workplace being very friendly. The hardest part would probably be learning unit dose but it is easy once you learn everything. The most enjoyable part would be getting to know everyone and how welcoming they are.

I was looking for a pharmacist job for a month since moving to a new area and was losing hope. I submitted my resume to RXRelief when Glenn and Angela who are truly wonderful placed me at the job of my dreams very quickly. Things move very fast so just be prepared to work when given the opportunity!

*UPDATE* I am writing an update about 2 months later, and I am so glad I gave this place a shot! I literally got a job offer within a couple weeks of applying at one of the largest hospitals in the area! I am so happy, impressed, and very fortunate to be given the opportunity to work for the hospital I was placed at. Great location, great supervisors, great coworkers. 5 stars!

I obtained my first pharmacist job through RxRelief and worked at LA General Medical Center. I worked a mixture of day shifts and graveyard where I learned a ton and gained valuable clinical experiences. Whether you are post graduate with or without a residency, working RxRelief can be a good opportunity to build your career. I am very grateful for my experience with RxRelief and thankful for all the hard working employees at LA General Medical Center that welcomed me and worked with me during my time (~2 years) with them. A legitimate and organized pharmacy staffing company. Nonetheless, they provide very limited work shifts in Texas, and they display favoritism by giving certain pharmacists the majority of work shifts. Although they assert they notify all pharmacists of all available assignments/shifts , I found I was not notified of many of them after asking other RxRelief pharmacists in my area. The job at this company can just be temporary or for extra income. It is difficult to make full-time salary from this company.

there is not a best part  from the wages to the customer service , supervisors everything is bad

trying to get a raise is most difficult  they always come up with the stupidest answers to why you are not getting  a raise
