A typical day at work begins with reviewing any notifications that have occurred in the various communication channels overnight if I am not the on-call individual and re-evaluate my work item priorities. My department has a mid-morning standup where we are able to catch up as a group, share any insights we have, and let each other know what our focus for the day will be in case items have been reassigned. The rest of the day is spent working through my work items, documenting new or updated processes, or assisting with issues as they arise in the communication channels. If on-call I am also responsible for fielding any support issues that occur or requests for help from other teams.

In my nearly six (6) years with the company at the time of this review, I have never worked at a company that had put such a strong focus on constantly learning new technologies, methodologies, and industry-specific material. It has been an extremely enjoyable and rewarding experience to have my abilities constantly stretched by my immediate and upper-management teams and rewarded for my hard work, my continuing education, and additional hours put in to get a project over the line.

The vast majority of the middle and upper management that I have interacted with at SageSure have provided unique insight into their specific areas of responsibility which have helped me understand their needs and deliver quality, on-time solutions. In particular the upper management of the Software, Underwriting, Corporate Finance, and Product Implementation teams are a large part of my success within the company and my understanding of our industry.

The hardest part of the job is making sure you keep your existing technical skills honed, being on the lookout for new technologies or methods that could improve your area of expertise, and taking the time to understand the insurance industry regardless of the department you work in. The technical teams are always improving which keeps everyone on their toes.

The most enjoyable part of the job for me has two sides. The first has been the professional growth I've received over the past six years. The company has invested in me and my abilities and it has been fruitful for both of us. The second are the personal connections, work buddies, and friends I meet outside of work.

In my twenty (20) years of employment this company has been the best yet!

I love my job and the employees in the office! Everyone is extremely outgoing and friendly! However the call really start to wear you down after a while, it also does not help that I have the worst shift ever, 9-6 so once I get home I don’t have about 3 hours before I have to get in bed. Training needs to be a little longer. LOTS of multitasking and work, along with mandatory “questions of the day”. SOOOO much information, it’s something new added on or changed everyday! Its extremely overwhelming, when I get home I don’t have energy to do NOTHING!! Not cool, wash, clean. I would have days where I could. I love waking up to see everyone in the office but the calls, work, and stressing over job performance stats is OVERLY DRAINING! My quality of life here is p!ss poor. My nerves are bad, my Anxiety is through the ROOF! I’ve worked in a call center before but I know I will NEVER do insurance ever again! This job will leave you soulless, depressed, and unmotivated. The pay is great but NOT enough for what we have to do on the job. Again, the office takes care of everybody and we have a great time, but the job and the work ruins that excitement. I am drained and desperately looking for ANY other place! I literally even applied for fast food restaurants, I know the pay will be less but I will feel a lot better mentally and spiritually! THERE IS NO WORK LIFE BALANCE! This job LITERALLY becomes your life! You barley have time to cater to yourself! I wish they would included more activities that help with work place balance and mental health. I feel so empty and unfulfilled:(

Overall, there are a ton of really talented, friendly people at this company.  Folks work hard and are passionate about the purpose of the organization.  To succeed here, you have to be a self starter and motivated, including how to get work done with limited funds and resources.  

From a cultural POV, when the company was smaller there was this special sense of belonging and sense of comradeship.  Lately, as the company has grown, this has faded, and the org has gotten much more political with the advent of the OCEO office.  Additionally, mass hiring, without thinking holistically, creates confusion and rivalry amongst teams versus collaboration.  

Pros: Benefits and offices are good, and the Cincinnati office in particular has amazing leadership.  It’s a great place to build your resume and challenging work environment. 

Cons: being smaller, is that there is limited career advancement and growth opportunity.  SageSure also lacks the resources of larger organizations, making it difficult to explore cutting edge approaches and technologies.  Leaders can be more concerned about upper management perception than their actual associate performance, which can be frustrating.    

Overall this is a pretty good company to really grow personally and professionally and I recommend it despite some of its flaws.  

The work here is practically a breeze, as long as one possesses a certain mastery of text comprehension and basic computer skills. However, at this pay grade, finding such talents can be quite the gamble. The true essence of this job experience relies heavily on the manager lottery – a delightful uncertainty. One thing remains certain, though: being underpaid is a universal experience for all, except perhaps for our beloved STEM prodigies.

As for career advancement, it's a thrilling game of chance where you eagerly await vacancies and pray for corporate mercy, all while testing your patience for months. But don't despair, there are plenty of free snacks to brighten your day! This opportunity is perfect for the well-educated yet well-worn job seeker searching for a steady paycheck. And for the temps out there, hold on tight and prepare for a minimum six-month wait toward some of those basic workplace comforts that make it all worthwhile.

I have experience in call centers and a P&C license. Though I've only been there for a short time, I can say the people and day to day are the best I've experienced since starting my csr career. Everyone in every department is willing to help and give the best advice they have to resolve issues. There's plenty of opportunities to grow and move around within the organization.

On the other hand, reaching out to said coworkers is very unusual and faulty. The underwriters are always busy (understandably) and the job turned into saying "they'll review and reach back out to you" without a real time frame. The longest I've waited for a response by phone was about 40+mins and a day within chats. Yes, there is a chat to reach out to most departments and they respond when they can. 

Dealing with that kind of delay in communication and the call metrics you have to meet can be challenging. They give a lot of time to adapt no matter your licensing status though you have to act as if you aren't a licensed agent. 

Overall they hands down deserve the "Best place to work" awards seems like they do a lot to within the office compensate for the system they have in place regarding the actual business. 

Insight Catastrophe Group is another name for Sagesure Insurance Managers. It's the most disorganized company I have ever worked for. Poor training. Unorganized resources. Little support.

Your success with the company will directly equate to how much people like you. Management is Incompetent and will give you a different answer to your question based on the time of day/their mood forcing you to rely on other reps and pray the information won't be contested in your review. 

Your lunchtime and breaks are different every day. 
Your schedule will be messed up or changed several times per week. 

The stress, negativity and unfairness will make you physically sick. Everyone talks about leaving the company. Everyone applies to positions in other departments as soon as they open.

This job is a pit stop on the way to something better! 

The pay seems great, and they will make you feel optimistic when you first start, but it fades quickly when you realize your training was inadequate and their smile in your face talk about you behind your back mentality is brought into the light.

I've been with SageSure for almost for years - the best move I've ever made.  It's exciting to be part of a growing, dynamic company.  The projects we work on are exciting and interesting; no one is put into a predetermined box - leadership wants you to grow your skills and is happy to provide and support opportunities to expand on your experience.  
The culture is AMAZING! Fun, supportive, and a strong feeling that we are team who is doing good work.  We enjoy working together as well as socializing together.  Leadership moved quickly to work from home during COVID as their priority is our health and safety, but we're all looking forward to returning to the new, comfortable office, another amazing benefit is the office!  Collaborative spaces, comfy furniture, a shuffleboard table, a fitness center, snacks and drinks, a cool, branded space that encourages co-working as well as fun.  Plus great benefits - health, time off, volunteering, etc.  Love it here!

SageSure is full of sincere and friendly people - from the top to the bottom. My manager truly cares about me and often takes time to praise the work I'm doing. I feel valued and important. I love coming to work and I don't feel like I'll be fired if I make a mistake. I work in the training department for policy services and I'm so impressed that part of the training includes multiple reminders that the customer service reps don't have a time limit for completing calls. They are instructed to take as much time as needed to make sure that customers are fully taken care of. I'm also impressed at how quickly SageSure transitioned to 100% remote employees at the start of the pandemic. It's really good to work for a company that truly cares for its employees and customers.

The work culture is based on cliques and the buddy system. If you don’t fall into that category you will not last. The office life is very political and is based on who you know. I was a target from day one and could not do anything right. Some equipment arrived late or the day of the training start date after class had started so I was forced to buy or use my own equipment in order to not fall behind. Very disorganized and an unfavorable rating amongst several independent insurance reviews. While not an insurance company itself it plays middle man or management, in conjunction with Occidental Insurance, which is an insurance company that targets high risk homes in hurricane, fire, or other natural disaster areas in order to charge higher premiums and place higher restrictions on coverage in order to avoid payouts for claims.

I started Insight Catastrophe Group as a temporary employee.  Within a few months, I was hired as a full-time team member.  My team engages in extensive discussion, and everyone gets a chance to contribute — even the introverts.  I truly believe my worth is valued at Insight Catastrophe Group.  

Since I started, there has been several employees transfer to new roles throughout the company.  The opportunities for advancement are endless.
  
There is an extensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), gym reimbursement, short term and long-term disability, and life insurance to name a few.  They offer a healthy snack program that all employees appreciate, and our office has a gym.  It is apparent that our senior leadership cares for the employees.
