My typical day starts with a smile and checking in patients, striving to attend to the needs of what is needed for and to patients as well as to better help with the flow of our office in the front and back.
I have been in the medical field now for 17+ years and have been through many EMR systems and I am still learning. 
My supervisor is GREAT, she is very helpful and reassures that I will find my flow of how things will get done, since I am new to the office. 
I am still trying to remember all the doctors names and there specialty. 
The most enjoyable part of my job is that I am back in the medical with a team from the back office to the front office, they all are are kind and very helpful and willing to guide me in the direction needed to better serve the patients and the doctors. 
Our workplace is a diverse culture which is nice to have. 
I am truly looking forward to grow with this company and learn more that I can. 
    

On a typical work day many "fires" need extinguishing and this hospital employs enough supervisors to maintain a continous  and smoothe operation and also who work hand-in-hand with their employees. You are pushed to continously learn by being put in a new position with a moments' notice and handle that new experience with professionalism and grace. Most all employees work together as a team to do what needs to be done for the day. The hardest part of the job may be the physical demand of none stop hustling because most jobs are time sensitive. I enjoyed my job there because I was able to provide personal service to each patient I helped to care for.

Salinas Valley Memorial healthcare Systems is a hospital located in Salinas, CA. There is potential for growth, but, it is dependent on the type of position you are seeking. For example, since it is a hospital, careers such as medical nurses and doctors provide a competitive salary and benefits. Management position also provide excellent pay if you are seeking positions requesting specific higher education degrees (Masters and up).

RNs have 6 months of probation. They let go of 2 exceptional RNs after 90 days (once they were eligible for PTO) and without reason. Poor managaement from the top down- there are processes and procedures that are old and do not support the growing culture of healthcare, creating job security for the vested nurses. Family work balance is poor, calling in sick is looked down upon no matter what. I hate to say it, but the employees are just numbers in some of the departments. Benefits are awesome but NOT worth the poor work culture!

Go from patient to patient in the emergency room and also private rooms to draw their blood and get any urine samples that was requested by doctors. All the staff and my coworkers were very fun to work with. We all got along like one big family. The most enjoyable part of my job was that I got to meet all different types of people from all over the world. The management was very nice. They were always concerned about any need that we requested and handled everything in a professional matter to make sure that we were all happy. I Give the company 5 Stars

For the most part the people who work here are friendly and kind but like any work place a few bad eggs will cause you some trouble. But hey what's life without a little diversity?
Had a bad experience with one of the nursing supervisors that caused me a great deal of psychological damage while I was in a mental health crisis. He claimed to be trying to help me but his inauthenticity along with his hostility caused a dilemma. Overall the place is kindove hostile. And the work demand was high. You got to be strong and know how to hold your own while working here.

Pros: Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare Systems offer a great work environment with co-workers, opportunities for in house education, great benefits, and great income. Patient load is reasonable.This hospital a very fast paced environment, but you are compensated and appreciated well for your hard work. 

Cons: Difficulty getting vacation sometimes, but they allow you to switch days with co-workers or co-workers can work for you to allow you time off. This one very busy hospital if your a person doesn't like a fast paced environment this may not be the place for you.

Since the beginning every day that when by was fun for it was going fast there was something to learn or show new methods to share 
the trust on creating new recipes was on me and that was a recreation within my self little by little I became a better person and my knowledge sprout to a higher level 
we developed new things that were challenge but we gathered our expertise and came up Avanti 
trail rides , family time friends meeting   { that was a great fun )

Overall it was a great experience even if it was stressful at the time. I learned plenty in such short time. The commute and crazy hours was only a temp. After all my hard work they let me go because my position was as a temp only. Dissapointed that they couldnt be honest in the first place. Made me het my hopes up thinking I was hired for full time. In the end I did hard work for nothing in return, and no body stood up for me or did anything to keep me there full time

My typical day at work is different every day ! Being that I work in the Emergency department.
