I have been able to work in multiple counties in NJ and have received several recommendations from different facilities to move my career up into travel nursing and I haven’t even reached my one year anniversary as an LPN yet, in two weeks I start working out of state, my career has accelerated faster than I imagined, hard work really pays off, the managers are amazing at backing you up, the payroll department is great at fixing any errors, if you want OT they’ll help you find facilities that have it available, I have no complaints this company is way better than All American, a great way to have a variety of patients and gain experience from working at different types of facilities whether long term or subacute or assisted living or rehab or dementia or alzheimer’s units, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for another job

This is hands down my favorite agency! They’ve been instrumental in helping me accomplish my goal of finical security. The management team is phenomenal, the pay is awesome, the staff are accommodating and the overall feel of the company is welcoming. You feel like a person instead of a number.

The pay it's okay it's sad that we're still getting dirty looks but your pool. So be able to pull up your big girl panties and get in there taking assignment list and be left alone the rest of the night, depending on nurses call bills and the facility rules. But the office is not very receptive. Have a problem, they probably won't get back to you for quite a while needs a van about something that happened in facility not to anyone at the same office they literally have no idea what it's like to work in a nursing home.

I recently applied for a job through them as an LPN. I was denied the job because they said I was not IV certified. Well if they were up to date on licensure protocols they would that in Ohio all LPN programs has IV procedures and test offs in their programs.As long as a new graduate passes their NCLEX they are automatically IV certified. Thanks for nothing Samba! The facility is not a happy place, pass meds do your time and go home.

Five Star Care is one of the best agencies out there. They offer many hours and many facilities to place you. They respond to you within 2 minutes really lol. I'm so happy to have the pleasure to work for them. They make me feel like family and I trust them. The best part about it is, they pay weekly. Trust me you won't be sorry working for them.

Work is easy going for the most part .
I learn something new about a patient daily cause everyone needs are different so I deal with them according to their needs.
Never dealt with management from my company.
The hardest part of work is walking into a facility blind and the ppl that actually work there don’t help you at all.

The ability to create your own schedule is great but work was not always available when you do want to work unless you’re willing to travel all over the state at your expense. If you do require any kind consistency of hours, this is not the place for you unless you’re ok with jumping around from place to place.

This company is actually one where I think they have strong core values. I really enjoy working for them. My only problem is with my clock in/clock out app, and getting paid on time has been an ongoing issue for me. I keep working with them because they do make it right and I like the facilities I pick up at.

Five Star is a good company to gain experience and they do well with training staff with no experience in the field. It is a growing company so with that being said as time goes on more will come. Five star has great hours, compensation is good, and the office is a good environment.
