I worked for a decade for the company (never called in once or was late).  I was always willing to do more than my share of work and help the team and company any way I could (often worked overtime).  During my time of employment I obtained both my bachelor's and master's degree AND got a national certification WHILE working full-time.  For 2 1/2 years (as soon as I got my bachelor's) I applied for transfers, talked to my supervisors, and reached out to other clinic directors/managers to give me an opportunity for a job interview more suited for my hard earned and expensive education.  I never got one interview, helpful advice, encouragement, or anyone that even cared if I stayed with the company or not.  I gave them 10 years of undying dedication.  The only thing I asked for in return was an interview for another position and I could not even get the courtesy of that.  The company was fine letting a long-time employee with an impeccable work record and a Master's degree continue to work in an entry level position.  The company as a whole is growing and expanding but do not let their current employees grow with them.  I have warned people about the lack of advancement with the company and they have all told me since that they too have experience the frustration and lack of appreciation as I did for 10 years.  The hospital is fantastic for the community and patients but is severely mistreating employees and letting  great caregivers leave.  I would have stayed with the company the rest of my working days if they would have given me even the slightest bit of chance to advance.  Lucky for me, I found a great new place to work at with ample opportunities to grow, learn, and be rewarded through advancement for my hard work, knowledge, and skill.  It is just a shame I had to quit a job I had called home to get what I earned.

My experience working here was challenging and ultimately disappointing. While the work itself was meaningful, the environment often felt unwelcoming, particularly for employees who communicate or work differently. Interpersonal issues were allowed to persist, and concerns raised by staff were not consistently addressed in a constructive or supportive way. Over time, feedback shifted away from objective performance and became more subjective, with emphasis placed on “personality” and perceived fit rather than documented outcomes or contributions.

Earlier in the year, a social-engineering incident prompted changes to standard work and procedures. I followed the guidance provided at the time by escalating concerns appropriately and involving the relevant teams. The situation was resolved through verification, and no breach occurred. However, expectations around policy implementation, especially in after-hours or on-call scenarios, were not always clear, and there was limited opportunity for discussion or clarification when questions arose.

Despite seeking guidance and acting in good faith, I experienced a lack of coaching and support, and decisions were made with minimal dialogue or corrective feedback. The overall approach felt punitive rather than developmental. While the organization does important work and many employees are committed to its mission, greater attention to respectful communication, psychological safety, and consistent, objective performance management would significantly improve the employee experience.

There is no typical day at work,I liked doing different things everyday.I learned more knowledge and improved greatly on critical thinking skills.I believe that management attempted to make a good work environment,although I wish that the director would have observed employees,rather than took a co-workers "concern" without getting both sides of the story and confronted employee in a accusing manor. I enjoyed the co-workers that worked on my shift,I did not like the co-workers that I gave report to,there were usually at least 3 different every morning and some of them with attitudes. I feel that you should not judge someone until you have walked a mile in his or her shoes. The hardest part part of the job is that you do your best,but you can not help everyone,people have to want to help themselves first. The most enjoyable part of the job is when you are able to help the patient and he or she has a good outcome.

I am a clerk at the main hospital. The work is easy and relatively stress-free, except on very busy days (which are common through flu/covid season). My co-workers are lovely people for the most part. I hear complaints from care partners, nurses, and housekeeping that management treats them rather shabbily; fortunately I have not had bad experiences in this area. However I believe there is a problem with cliques and managerial politics; it just hasn't affected me much. Sometimes it seems that management is so obsessed with getting good patient experience scores that they forget that some patients are difficult, even impossible to please; and staff is not always to blame for patients' perceived bad experiences.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I work with RNS in ccu ,they talk to me as a person. I have learned  a lot from these people.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
when they need a room now. the patient hasn't left the room . you got to get rid of 1st pt before I can clean. I am not going to do a quick clean. do it right or don't do it

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I do my job and help out if I can. I try to help as much as I can.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
daily charge. do boards, pass linens, empty trash at nurses station. start on rooms. Or sit with pts. or get pulled to work 2 south 1north. its not on paper they call and tell me. going all over hospital to find our equipment people take. 
do no sign out. and when we need it ,its not there. or when there done using our equipment they leave it where ever.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I enjoyed my career at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. They treated me with respect and I feel like they genuinely care about their employees no matter what level. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful job at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center was not being able to predict the work flow. There were times when it was extremely busy and didn't feel like we would ever get caught up. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My work environment at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care  was I could work independently. 
I was trusted and worked hard at keeping that trust by accuracy, loyalty, confidentiality  and a timely manner.

I worked in materials management entry level the work was ok not strenuous but it does get busy during winter months. Management doesn't know what's going on half the time leaving you clueless about what to do or who to ask for help. Poor communication from supervisors lots of phone calls for supplies they make us look like we are dominoes pizza. Would only reccomend if you are close to retirement great part time gig for someone wouldn't reccomend long term full time employment you will get fed up with coworkers not doing their job or taking proactive measures to complete tasks.

The pay is decent and health insurance rates are reasonable if you participate in their wellness program.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The managers are not trained on how to successfully manage. They do not make you feel appreciated or valued and constantly criticize.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is what I would compare to a viper pit.  Just stay away!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typically very busy and very stressful.  Not from the work itself, but because they are always understaffed.

a typical day at work is usually one of personal fulfillment, my  latest knowledge came in the form of proper food intake, and storage. the management team, is very knowledgeable and friendly. the culture is of a religious background, the hard part of the job is the rotation of products, because of the small frezer area. the most enjoyable part of the job is various people you meet and interact with.

I worked here for several years. One thing I noticed is that they are willing to cut loyal people for simple mistakes. The management is very cliquey and have their favorites for  sure. I worked night shift and I was exhausted all the time. I constantly felt overworked and underappreciated. Some nurses there believe that they are above the CNAs and refuse to help. It was rough. They pay well if you have experience and are in nursing school, otherwise you'd make more money at a nursing home.
