I worked at Seabra for over 5 years back during the great recession days so it was quite a learning experience. You have to understand that jobs like these are a dime a dozen and that you aren't going to make much money at all. 
It's good to gain experience for better jobs down the line. I would recommend you don't try to make a career out of this company, it would be a huge mistake if you do. 
Sure, the jobs worth are minimum wage, but if you expect any growth, you're at the wrong place. Raises during the great recession era were completely non existent; not sure if things have changed but the company did not give any raises to any employees, not a quarter a year, ten cents. Nothing. 
The sanitary conditions also were always in question too with foul smells coming from the meat and seafood departments. I never shopped at this store during my entire working time there and why would I? There were no employee discounts. Like one disgruntled employee always said to me, "they give us nothin". 
Lastly the store itself had a lot of shady characters from the homeless people who hung around the redemption center like it was a bus station to the shady customers who would steal very often because there were no security or cameras. 
What's funny is years ago, they actually employed a security guard who disguised himself as a shopper once or twice a week. He would always catch multiple people every time. However, he lasted about a month because the company didn't want to pay him his worth and he wasn't replaced.
Perhaps the last straw was when the store was robbed in the fall of 2013 at gunpoint, and then broken into at night during 2015 when the door was smashed open. They now finally have a TV screen during the store entrance but it took those instances for them to finally pony up the dough for some kind of security.
I will admit, working at the company was a great learning experience for me and it didn't come without some entertainment. I was just a college kid when I worked there so at the very least, I never lived off the job but I feel sorry for the employees who actually do. You honestly shouldn't. Now that the economy is back in full swing, it's time for the good employees to move on from this company to a better one. I did and I couldn't be doing better. I love my job and appreciate it because of how good I have it now.

Working here was incredibly stressful due to a few things: inconsistent management in certain areas, employees that either havent been screened properly, or were hired just to get a body in the building to fill a spot regardless of their experience or reliability. Do not open yourself to being cross-trained or you will be taken advantage of at every chance they get. 

Despite these troubling things, there is much learning that can be obtained if you're looking for relevant experience. 

The most enjoyable thing for me was being in the kitchen cooking.

The hardest part was being cross trained in more than half the store and working 60 hrs a week on occasion, at one point 25 days consecutively working, half of which were 14 hr days.

Management on the store level was fine. Higher up there was a lot of greed, forcing cut hours when it wasnt needed, regional supervisors who had absolutely no clue what to do in their area of supervision, and absolutely no recognition for normal floor staff. 

As far as the workplace culture, honestly it was like a family. Everyone knew each other, and got along aside from a select few individuals creating extreme levels of drama. Some of my best friends came from working there.

I greatly enjoyed my co-workers, many of whom were highly motivated and supportive and supportable individuals. Furthermore most of our customer base was kind to us and we treated customers and each other well. 
My sole problem was some issues with management. I feel that some of their practices were not in the best of lights, nor should they have been. and our store manager was very biased in his treatment of his subordinates (us). 
the best parts of the job was being able to professionally and socially engage with co-workers and customers.
the worst part was having to deal with management interfering and altering your duties.

I worked there for about a year and a half, started when I was 16. Cashier pay is minimum wage, and they don’t allow working overtime. I loved the job for a while, it was something to do and I was making money. But I left home at 17, and the pay was no longer enough. I spoke to my manager about working more hours or the possibility of a raise (not anything major), and he said no to both. As the weeks progressed, I was scheduled less and less. Eventually they had me working once a week, and I had to leave the store. I loved the people I met there but management, specifically the store manager, was hard to work with.

Short staffed !!! Salary pay is low health insurance offered is very pricey

Pretty laid back very diverse

having to pay for your own food in the market and not being valued, low salary

My work days would sometimes be challenge.ive learned a lot on how to due bills give orders over phone for stuff we needed and became bakery mananger for my outstanding work and showing the company I wanted to build my career with them.management was tuff but understandable loved my co-workers awesome people fun to be around. the hardest part of my job was cant really say we wpuld all have hard times but over come them.my customers loved my customers

Seabras is a good place to work even with the difference and some problems i had a really good time there. I always gave my best in all my jobs, to learn and do make a good impression and i will always do that i like to show that I improved and that i earned the job I’m in and i wont disappoint no one.

Seabra Foods is a great choice for a temporay job to get quick cash, but besides that look a job elsewhere. The new manager is not very dependable and can ask for too much. The job pays the minimum wage, and raises are annual and they only give 50 cents extra per hour. This job fits best for people who are looking for their first job or want a job for the summer.

Seabra foods is a nice start, you can gain experience and learn. Nice people with a lot of guidance, relaxing environment, easy job. I've personally learned a lot how to adapt constantly, changing where and how we put our products on the shelves. Learning how and quantity of buying products for the store.
