I usually do not take the time to write reviews, but in this case, I feel I have to. The only best part about this facility is the residents. It is upsetting how the management and some of the staff are not able to focus on the reason we are here. Which is to provide quality care for our residents. Management is unprofessional and lacks empathy. When reporting a concern about residents management will ignore the concern or take a long time to resolve it, even though it has been repeated multiple times for weeks.There is a lack of communication in this facility. On top of all this, management also plays favorites. Which can create a toxic environment for staff and residents. 

The facility is always short staffed. When the facility finally hires someone they usually do not last a month. On top of being short staffed and doing double the work, we are not provided with the proper materials or equipment we need. The washers and dryers are always breaking down. It can take weeks to months for them to get fixed. If you are expecting an assisted living facility where residents are independent or need minimal assistance this is not the facility. Management will tell you that this is a "no lift facility," but some residents may require 2 assists.

Being the EnrichedLife Director at Forestdale Park Senior Living has been such a rewarding and meaningful experience. I truly love coming to work each day knowing I get to make a real difference in our residents’ lives through fun, thoughtful, and engaging programs. The residents feel like family, and it is incredibly special to build genuine connections with them and watch them enjoy new activities, friendships, and moments of joy.

The team at Forestdale Park is supportive, caring, and always willing to work together to make the community the best it can be. I’m especially grateful for the leadership and collaboration that allows me to be creative, try new ideas, and build programs that really reflect what our residents love. From themed events and community partnerships to meaningful fundraisers like our Alzheimer’s events, this role allows me to combine my passion for people, creativity, and community involvement every single day.

I’m proud to be part of Forestdale Park and highly recommend it as a workplace for anyone who truly cares about seniors and wants to work in a positive, heart-driven environment.

I am warning you now if you are interested in working for this company turn back now! This company is beyond unprofessional. If you enjoy working for a company that allows harassment and bullying, then Methuen Village is the place. It is upsetting that the management is aware of this, but does not do anything to resolve it. Instead of acting like professionals they turn their heads and look the other way. They will deny this information and try to keep it away from the public. 
     The management in this company also plays "favorites" with their employees. If you are considered a "favorite," you can get away with anything you want. You are allowed to break the rules, bully and harass other employees without punishment. If you are not a "favorite," then you will get treated lower than dirt. For those who are interested in working for this company, I am warning you it is not a great place to work. New hires soon figure out the truth about this company and end up leaving before the month is over. The turnover rate is worse than ever. They are losing more employees than they can hire.

Armbrook Village seems to care more about what employees are doing incorrectly than absolutely anything. They are constantly short staffed. Many things have been brought to managements attention and still nothing has been done. Very uncomfortable working environment because it seems like you're constantly being watched. Many residents who live there should not be there because armbrook does not have the proper equipment to meet the needs of those residents. They care more about having a room occupied. Very overworked and underpaid. They say everyone has a voice and that the directors door is always open but whenever you go with an issue you are shut down and somehow feeling like you did something wrong. Very poor nursing staff. No appreciation for staff especially rcas who go above and beyond. Nursing staff plays "favorites" with rcas and believes all the lies they tell. A lot of extremely childish behavior and I would NOT recommend armbrook village as a place of employment or a place to put your family member. A lot of things being done that should not happen. Needs ALL new directors (especially for msn neighborhood who is EXTREMELY rude to the residents and staff).

I have worked for other senior living companies who only care about filling the building and never truly cared about what was good for the residents. SLR is the complete opposite of this, and I say that with the upmost honesty. It was and still is (4 years later) so refreshing to see a company who genuinely cares about the residents interests, needs, suggestions, well being, and so on. The owners visit their communities, and have personal relationships with the staff and residents. If they see a face they do not know they will make sure to introduce themselves. Their passion is making sure that we are helping our residents stay as independent as possible upon joining our family, but they are even more passionate about continuing to become experts in dementia. Our residents living with dementia are truly luck, because we are constantly exploring every avenue to best assist them as they brains are changing due to their dementia. I have recommended this company to both families looking for placement, and individuals look for work. I will continue to recommend SLR, and I will continue to devote myself to helping our company grow!

The most ridiculous job I've ever worked. I typically do temp work at different stores for a few months at a time, and have done so for almost 3 years. Applied here to find a full time job and got it as a receptionist. I was told I would work 35-50 hours a week (I asked for around 45 and this was acceptable to me) and sometimes they'd have me get to 50 by working a shift or two as a waiter. 
I was never trained to be a receptionist, and I only waited tables once when they were short staffed, and all of us were brand new so we had no idea what we were doing. 
Instead, they had me washing dishes for 10 hours a day, two days a week, and kept  telling me eventually I'd be put on reception but to just keep washing dishes until they no longer needed me. Management in the dining room were always hostile towards me, always getting mad at me for working too slow and not good enough (well, it wasn't the job I applied for, and I wouldn't have taken it in the first place). After a month, I found a new job that actually gave me 35 hours a week and quit on the spot. I had several overdue bills because I was not working the hours I needed. Pretty awful company if you ask me. 

I have worked here for over 4 years and I can honestly say I love coming to work every morning! I love feeling like I am part of a team, all working together to assist our residents. The directors are all extremely approachable, and are always there to help. They do a lot of activities to recognize associates throughout the year, making you feel good about the work you are doing.

The hardest part of my job is getting close with our residents (learning all about their amazing life experiences) and unfortunately losing that connection when the time arrives. 

The most enjoyable part of my job is helping others! Whether it is assisting our residents, family members, associates, or guests, I love feeling like I am making someone's day go smoother. My job is very rewarding and I am grateful for the experiences that I get every day.

As programming assistant at the location in Canton, MA, my goal is to make residents engaged, happy and comfortable in their home. It is a very rewarding position that gives me a purpose and sense of belonging. I receive feedback from management daily as well as support in balancing responsibilities. Although I am an assistant, I feel valued and included by everyone workplace. While my goal remains the same from day to day, no two days are the same. The work environment relies heavily on the moods and interests of the residents, so when the residents are unhappy due to external, uncontrollable things (i.e. bad weather, covid resistrictions, cancelled entertainment), it can be discouraging. However, when I succeed in lifting residents' moods and quality of life through engaging conversation and group activities, that is the most enjoyable, rewarding part. 

Really really low pay comparing with the stress at work. Half of residents are too fragile to live at Assisted Living. Had to pray everyday if I could find a parking spot. Probably that was why some employees parked in handicapped spot everyday and management not care. After a while, I realized there is no room to grow here. Managers are everywhere but no-one works under except Dining room. But Dining room boss are not going anywhere so the staffs can not move up. Growing into another area of company is impossible since kitchen or dining staff has no education in the area of nursing or marketing or accounting. Kitchen-Dining  department is one of the two most stressful of the place.

The facility itself was nice and new. However, there was a lot of responsibility at the bottom of the totem pole, and there was little support or supervision from the chiefs. You work as an "RCA" (Resident Care Associate) even if you are a Licensed Nursing Assistant. That means you also work with inexperienced "RCAs" who get paid the same hourly rate as you, even though most of them have no idea what they're doing. So experienced LNAs spend a lot of time training with no extra compensation or recognition. Finding the nurse on duty was always hard, but I don't blame them since there was only one nurse for the entire building on the night shift. Lots of agency brought in added to the frustration. There were a few truly good, hardworking people there, and I wish them all the best. I left on good terms to work at a different facility. I worked there a couple of years ago, so things may have changed by now.
