I worked for a company that had partnership with the hospitals HIM dept to provide ROI support. My first week I was immediately met with disdain by the HIM Director, she would not respond to questions about SOPs that she helped developed and was VERY passive aggressive to any employees from my former company. This made working very difficult especially when it came to direct patient interaction, she would refuse to speak with patients and if she did speak with them she was aloof, short and RUDE to them, especially if there was a language barrier. The other HIM staff was very helpful and assisted when they could but was told by the director to not provide any help for myself or anyone else from my former company. The director was trying to sabotage the partnership between my former company and the hospital and would construct false complaints from patients but couldn't provide the patients names or how we came in contact(via phone, walk-ins, or email) when confronted about said complaints. The HIM director has also printed and distributed the wrong records to patients on several occasions.

Ardent Health is a 3rd party contractor for hospitals. They gave me and several others the job as trainers for medical systems and held us out on a line two weeks before telling the new hires collectively that the hospital ‘cancelled the contract with no notice.’ The recruiter promised to consider me for other opportunities and encouraged me to apply, only to explicitly deny me later for any and all other positions advertised through indeed with no explanation or correspondence. Genuinely the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had- please do not waste your time with this company.

They gave me all the time I needed to orient on the unit and I never felt pressured to do a million things. They allowed me to do the education stuff on my own time and the educator was very flexible and kind. Did not spend much time on day shift, but nights were great. The way the charge nurses at night work here is different than other facilities. They spend a lot of time supporting other nurses and helping where they can. They are an important link to the hospitalists as it should be. Most nurses were helpful in guiding and teaching new things. This was a great experience. 

Loved this job until the DON left due to no work/life balance. Instead of promoting from within the owner brought someone in from the outside. I tried to give her a fair chance, but from the 1st meeting she was extremely negative. Instead of just monitoring the way the company had been functioning she was very confrontational and aggressive, making sure we all knew there was a new boss in town. needless to say she ran many/most of the nurse off. It went from a friendly family environment to e a everyone out for themselves environment.

Seton is a wonderful place to work. Patient care is a core value and the mission is spiritually centered. I love the care we are dedicated to providing. That being said, the management is in constant turnover. There is no real direction when a manager leaves for another opportunity and it takes months for them to find a replacement, so with the uncertainty comes the migration of excellent staff members to find more stable positions. 

Although the CEO and CFO, along with the human resources department do not see the wages for what I do there is too low, my director as well as my co-workers acknowledge that my work and my ability in that work is more worthy of what my compensation is. However, I stay because I enjoy helping my patients and I love what I do, who I work for, and the people I work with.

There is a reason Seton in Harker Heights was never awarded for best place to work after 2014! The hospital has high turn over rates, horrible management  and co-workers. Pay was constantly messed up and short staffed.They lie about hours, it's either management sends you home leaving you short 16 hours or more. Or they force you to work overtime.(employees have worked 17+ hours straight)

The benefits are a waste/expensive. If you want the insurance discount, be prepared to have your privacy invaded.

They take care of their employees and have great discounts in the Cafe and Gift shop for employees and they love to keep the energy alive and exciting with having Monthly Discounts and Scavenger Hunts for fun with prizes monthly. 

Very Compassionate and Present CEO and Great Staffing in HR that always gives you a feeling of being a part of the family.

When you come to work, you come to do your job.  That was not always the case.  I was doing another job, other people from the front was doing other jobs.  Jobs that should have been completed by clinic manager.   I would be there 99% of the time before most of the clinic.  Then I would leave very late in the evening.Nothing was ever done correctly.  I have been in that position before.  No writeups, no counciling, nothing.  It was a joke!!!!

Section is a smaller hospital with better pay for techs than BSW. Management has been much more encouraging and appreciative here. However, smaller is not always better. Techs clean patient rooms frequently b/c EVS shirks at every opportunity. Also, applying for an internal position is difficult because the internal opportunity site rarely works. Ever since COVID, the cafeteria selection is lame.
