There are very straight forward expectations to be a successful team member at the firm, such as working with integrity, having strong communication skills, and having adaptability.

A typical day at work: coming in and working off of a set check list of tasks to complete throughout the day. 

what you believe you learned: Enjoying your job is essential to your success with this firm. Working in the legal field has many stipulations. There are tasks that many see as being tedious, however each of those components contribute to the firms core values of providing clients the best advocacy for their cases! The legal field is not for everyone, but is 100% for those who are goal driven and ready to put their best foot forward every day! 

management: Supportive. They offer support, strategies, open communication, and help. They will hold you accountable if you do not do your job appropriately; but this is after all steps above have been exhausted over a course of time.

workplace culture: There are weekly shoutouts and recognition given to employees, there is an employee of the week each week, you have the opportunity to leave early on Friday’s if you reach your goals, you have ample opportunity’s to earn monthly bonus’s, there is monthly employee appreciation, a monthly birthday/ anniversary celebration, the list goes on. 

the hardest part of the job: Not everyone can be pleased. There will always be individuals who see their responsibilities as a chore, and will try to make everyone else feel the same way. 
My best tip is to stay away from people who are only negative or do not have a positive outlook. Do not engage with nonsense. A positive outlook and drive to succeed is key here.

the most enjoyable part of the job: it is rewarding. I come in every day knowing what my day will entail and I genuinely enjoy what I do! 

This is a good company to get your feet wet and learn about the personal injury side of law. If you don’t catch on quickly and you aren’t able to manage a large workload this is not the job for you if you are in case management. 
Intake is not as bad because management is good, but you are expected to meet certain quotas. 
Case management has a lot of expectations and then more is added on top on a regular basis with no adequate help. 
There is a high turnover rate and most have been with the firm less than a year and are already in “senior” positions
 the “juniors” get trained just well enough to know a little bit and then get promoted, leaving the seniors without help time and time again. Time is wasted training and going over cases and SOPs with them because they last a week or so and then you get a new one. If they aren’t promoted, they quit. 
Teams get switched around on a regular basis and you end up being responsible for mistakes from people that no longer work at the firm. 
You say that you need help and you don’t get it, you get micromanaged.
 You have ideas, they don’t get listened to. 
Don’t expect to get promoted to higher up positions in the firm  
Departments aren’t held to the same standard firm wide 
Dress code isn’t bad 
Wine Wednesday once a month 
They try to do employee appreciations monthly, but that only means so much 
Health insurance offered, but expensive 
PTO you get 3 hours every pay period and it is used for ANY TIME that you are out, doesn’t matter if you don’t want to use it or not
Pay is good and that’s what keeps people around. Not worth it in the long run 

Working as the dirt beneath a WFH ambulance chasing attorney’s shoe, for a chain firm that’s attempting to expand faster than they can properly train LAST week’s round of 4 new hires — IF anyone at all gets trained that week, given the trainer’s propensity to cancel sessions 15 minutes beforehand, and then leave for the day — sounds fantastic, no? 

Who wouldn’t want to work in a tiny cubicle being micromanaged over Teams daily, yet ignored when asking a question about a process, watching and listening to any individual in the “Senior Paralegal” department openly complain ad nauseam any time the “Juniors” were (barely) trained on a new aspect of PI law. The cattiest people in the higher ranks were outwardly adored by the HR team and praised endlessly during weekly meetings — birds of a feather. Sr Paralegals would privately message HR if a Jr, no matter how new, had made the slightest mistake, and then go and fix it, completely undermining any opportunity for the Jrs to actually learn. This happened multiple times to multiple Jrs throughout my time there, with no repercussions or new office-wide rule set in place by HR. 

The environment truly felt like being back in high school. Absolutely horrible culture — morale meals and Wine Wednesdays 1/month like that’d keep anyone around. 

Typical Day: 
Watching those favored by higher management get praised for doing absolutely nothing. Watching those who work hard get criticized and told they are not doing enough. 
Learned:
I learned that just because this is a law firm does not mean it will conduct itself like one. This job is ran more like a highschool where the higher management team are the mean girls.
Culture:
There is no culture. It is a dictatorship. If you are great at kissing behinds and turning a blind eye to discrimination and injustices that happen frequently, then this is the job for you.
Hardest part of the job:
Dealing with higher management. They never investigate what is going on with the firm. They just start blaming and firing people without warning. Example of the immaturity of higher management: 3 supervisors were obnoxiously loud talking badly about an employee. Higher management was notified and simply stated to the supervisors, "if you are going to talk down on one of your employees, then please do it in the conference room lol." 
Enjoyable part: 
One hour lunch and being able to clock out at 4:59:30secs
Advice:
This job looks good on your resume, but is extremely catty. Every 60 days they hire a whole new staff for 2 departments because they either fire everyone ignorantly or people quit due to the horrendous culture.

The work environment is pretty disorganized and stressful due to a lack of clear structure and communication from leadership. There’s constant turnover, which makes it hard to keep anything consistent or properly train new employees. Expectations change frequently and aren’t always clearly explained.

Rules also aren’t applied consistently across the board, which can be frustrating. You’re told to ask management or supervisors for help, but it’s hit or miss whether you actually get a clear answer. A lot of the time, you’re also working with attorneys who don’t fully understand the internal processes, which slows things down even more.

The benefits are another downside. PTO is limited to 10 days total for sick, vacation, and personal time combined, which is very limited. You have to take lots of time unpaid. The health insurance is expensive, and reimbursements can take a while. Raises also seem to be rare.

On the positive side, the company does hire people with little to no experience, which makes it accessible for entry-level candidates. There’s also a monthly bonus, which helps offset the lack of consistent raises.

This role is a heavy workload with insufficient resources or compensation. You will be mildly trained and “promoted” to a senior role only when there is vacancy (not when you’re ready). That can range from 3 months to a year depending on which previous senior was burnt out to the point of quitting. Management does not make an effort to create positive relationships with employees therefore it makes it difficult to want to work for them. They encourage to ask for help when you need it but when you ask, they will “follow up” with you and then hope you stop nagging. You are left to fend for yourself and train yourself amongst your peers rather than the supervisor you’re assigned because they barely know what they are doing themselves. The only benefit to this job is learning your basic office skills so that you can transition to another job. Several employees leave within a couple months and even on their first day. Avoid working here if you can, you will find a better entry level job elsewhere.

My work day involves assisting case managers with retrieving bills and records from providers for our valued clients. I feel I learn something new every day regarding the legal aspect of how providers work with injury cases, and how to navigate with the best possible and quickest way to retrieve needed documents from providers in order to make our client's cases run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Management is extremely helpful and they are there for me when I need them. The workplace culture is what I can best describe as overall team work, and the willingness to work together to achieve the same goal, and that is to have happy and satisfied clients. I can't really say that my job is hard in any way, because I have a great team working with me and that means everything to me. The most enjoyable part of my job is knowing that we have all needed documents in for our clients and we can move their cases to the demands department. 

I don’t recommend working here. I was here for nearly 2 years. We were expected to scrape the bottom of the barrel to try and bring in cases. They cut my hours. On top of me barely getting any hours, we were also assigned busy work that took away from the actual job. They were meant for when we had down time and yet it was a time consuming task. Management made us write a training manual for our department, what does that have to do with sales? Even when you’re given enough room to do your job, the management is still overbearing and watching you like a hawk. The non-management employees are treated like children. You will constantly feel like you aren’t trusted to do your job. You’re also forced to sign a non-compete letter stating you won’t go work for another firm so you’re essentially trapped if you want to continue in the legal field. This place is nothing more than a stepping stone for your professional career. Don’t have high hopes going into this place.

The saying "Team work makes the dream work" really is true here. Our team works together beautifully to get the job done in a way that makes you feel accomplished and successful.  It feels like a family to me. People smile and say good morning, and are kind and helpful. They encourage, support, and work diligently to show that they care about the client as well as each other. Our bosses and managers show their appreciation and there is good morale. They lead in a way that makes you feel safe and valued here.  I see excellent work ethic here compared to other places I have worked. There is honesty and integrity that can be rare to find in some other work places. The hardest part of the job for me is there is a lot of sitting at your desk, but the hour long lunch break is a huge plus. I enjoy what I do here, the work environment is very nice, and our fellow team members are some of the best!

This job was an absolute nightmare. I was grateful for an opportunity fresh out of college, but I see why it was so easy to get. You train as you go, not fully trained before you start. Micromanaging is horrible. There’s no diversity. Anytime you made a mistake, they would blast it in a teams message. Always asking you to overextend yourself and your workload and no recognition for doing it. If you start as a junior, you’ll always have to do work as if you’re already a senior (even though seniors get paid like $5 more) and the reasoning for doing it is always on the basis of “if you become a senior” or when you become one (Knowing you will never even get the opportunity to become one). It sucks honestly, management is very messy. I wouldn’t be surprised if the company is shutdown by the end of the year honestly.
