I accepted this position because I believed I was joining a company that was trying to build something different.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and more of the same.

In my experience, the culture was driven by numbers, production, and constant pressure for more. More calls. More sales. More production. More metrics. No matter how much was accomplished, the focus always seemed to be on the next number, the next goal, or the next expectation.

Over time, I often felt that numbers were prioritized over the people responsible for producing them.

Helping patients change their lives is meaningful work, and that mission was a major reason I joined the organization. However, over time, I felt there was a growing disconnect between the mission being communicated and the experience I was having as an employee.

Throughout my employment, I raised concerns about operational inefficiencies, employee workload, burnout, workflow challenges, missed breaks, and the impact certain decisions were having on employees and patients. I didn’t just identify problems—I proposed solutions, created detailed playbooks, and invested significant time trying to improve systems and processes.

My goal was never to complain. My goal was to help.

Over time, I became frustrated because I felt many of these concerns and recommendations were not addressed in a way that led to meaningful improvement. I also became concerned that honest feedback, challenging questions, and alternative viewpoints were not always received constructively.

In my experience, employees who aligned with leadership’s perspective appeared to have a much easier path than those who challenged decisions, raised concerns, or proposed alternative approaches.

I was also disappointed by workplace interactions that, in my opinion, did not always reflect the level of professionalism, respect, and direct communication I value in a healthy culture. There were occasions when employees were discussed negatively in conversations with other team members rather than being addressed directly and constructively. Over time, I felt this undermined trust and created an environment where people were often more concerned about protecting themselves than speaking openly.

Another source of frustration for me was compensation. Based on my understanding when I accepted the role, I expected bonus opportunities to be significantly different than what I ultimately experienced.

One of the most disappointing realizations was that many of the concerns expressed in critical employee reviews became increasingly consistent with my own experience. When I joined, I assumed those reviews reflected isolated frustrations. Over time, I found myself relating to many of the same themes.

My employment ultimately ended after I had spent considerable time raising operational concerns and proposing solutions. While others may have different experiences, my experience left me disappointed and concerned about the organization’s culture, communication, and approach to employee feedback.

The most disappointing part was realizing that the organization I thought I was joining was not the organization I ultimately experienced.

I've had a very positive experience at SPG as a Regional Manager. What stands out most is that this is still a relatively young company that has done a lot of things right. The organization has found its footing, built a strong foundation, and feels poised for significant growth in the years ahead.
Like any growing company, some systems and processes are still being developed and refined. Personally, I see that as one of the biggest advantages of working here. Employees have a genuine opportunity to provide input, influence decisions, and help shape the future of the organization rather than simply following established processes.
The founders and leadership team are highly approachable and receptive to feedback. One thing I've appreciated is that the best idea in the room tends to win, regardless of title or position. That level of openness and collaboration is refreshing and creates an environment where people feel heard and valued.
As with any company going through growth and cultural transformation, there are naturally some growing pains. Shifting accountability, strengthening processes, and evolving culture isn't always easy. However, it's clear that the leadership team recognizes these challenges and is actively working through them with the company's long-term success in mind.
Most importantly, SPG is driven by a meaningful mission. The teams are passionate, and there is a genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes. Knowing that the work ultimately supports a greater purpose makes the experience even more rewarding.
This has been an exciting journey so far, and I'm optimistic about the future. I'm looking forward to seeing where the company goes next and continuing to be a part of its growth.


I’ve had a great experience working at Shared Practices Group. The team is collaborative, hardworking, and genuinely committed to helping both employees and patients succeed. One thing I appreciate most is the pace—there is always something new to learn, and no two days are the same. Leadership is approachable, ideas are welcomed, and there is a strong focus on continuous improvement. A typical day is high-pressure and driven by unrealistic production and collection goals, often without adequate support or proper clinical oversight. I learned how to manage extreme operational demands, but also saw how critical compliance and ethical standards can be overlooked when leadership prioritizes numbers.

Management is largely disconnected from real office conditions. Instead of support, leadership often responds with pressure, blame, and excessive documentation, especially when employees raise concerns or ask for guidance.

The workplace culture is stressful and lacks transparency. Favoritism, inconsistent communication, and a lack of accountability from leadership create an environment where morale is low and turnover is high.

The hardest part of the job is being expected to carry full responsibility for operations, compliance, and performance without proper support or compensation.

They pay pretty well but thats about it. Be ready to be thrown in with no formal training. You will be the only assistant doing absolutely everything alone! If you report issues to upper management they are ignored. You will miss lunches and be forced to stay late regularly. Also supplies needed are often broken or missing all together. Alot of unhappy patients as well. That is the most difficult part, seeing patients struggle after these large treatments. They never once supported staff or showed any appreciation for us. In fact the entire week for Dental Assistant appreciation was completely ignored. They will not even let you order what you need only certain things allowed in the "formula" I honestly feel like I didn't learn anything.  I had 5 years of experience going in and they promised training that was never delivered.

-Hours posted are not possible with the reporting workload, sales call expectations, and consult volume 
-If you  share hardships after having difficulty reaching certain KPIs, you will likely  be flagged as a problem 
-“Support” measures are not made in good faith. Corporate is planning for your replacement 
-Money collected is the #1 focus. Intense pressure in the form of regional micro-management for collections is an hourly occurrence with constant interruption and expected responses during patient interactions. It makes focus and attention to the patient’s needs very difficult 
-The consultant is video recorded for all consultations. If you are uncomfortable with this, this is not the position for you. 

Working at SPG has given me the opportunity to be part of something that truly changes people's lives. Helping our patients regain their confidence and improve their health is incredibly rewarding. The expectations are high, but so is the opportunity to grow. If you're coachable, willing to work hard, and passionate about helping people, this can be a very fulfilling career. The leadership here has helped me in so many ways. It has helped me grow my mindset, challenge my limiting beliefs and fight every day to make an impact in the lives of the people around me. This is a special company with a great mission. Being surrounded by people with the same mission has made me feel like I have found a place I belong. We all work hard and we do it for our patients. 

There have been over a dozen employees come and go at the Indy office in the past 2 years. 
This is not a good place to work. Upper management does not know how to lead or train any of their staff.
When you ask for any of the training you were promised, have any concerns or just a general question, they will not respond due to their own incompetence. They turn it around and place blame on you.
Find a place that will value you and your talents, efforts and passion for your job and not put money and greed above that. 
Maybe they should invest in their people, watch them grow and in time, their company. 
So sad. 

If you’re a  lab tech and you want to work at a place where it isn’t really a lab just a wash room with little to no space. If you want to work with a team who just loads up your schedule even though you stressed in morning huddles we should stick to the schedule. If you want to work at a place where things are done half fast and they are cutting corners. If you want to work where the higher ups don’t know who you are even though you produced over$2million  annually and were in the top 3 out of34 offices then come work here at the Richmond office. 

Recent changes in management have completely ruined this companies culture.   I have never seen a place become such a miserable environment because of two people. Micromanaging, Chat GPT messages, and the celebration of people who stay late and give up their lives is now what this company is all about.   The two recent promotions came from a competitor had no success here but got a promotion and now are the sole reasons people hate it here.
