One of the things I like most about Sheffield is the Company size.  The Company is big enough that employees can feel like a part of something important, and small enough where we can actually see our individual contributions making an impact in significant ways. 

Additionally, the leadership is always concerned about building a better workplace and you can see them taking steps to do so.  When feedback is received, it is shared with the appropriate people in leadership, and there are immediate discussions around if changes are needed, and what those should be.  

Finally, there are some really good, hard-working people at Sheffield; many of whom have very tough challenges to face every day.  But they persevere because they care and take pride in the work they do and in their objectives.  Those are the people who stand out, and they are absolutely rewarded for their contributions.  I've experienced it, and I've seen it happen for many others.

I fully believe that those who really do work hard (not the entitled), have a positive attitude (even when things are challenging), and who care about producing quality work will do very well. 

I’ve worked at Sheffield for a while and never wrote a review. I am now because there have been some big changes over the past few years. Lots of new equipment, new products and customers. The company is growing. But the most important changes are in management. There have been a group of long time managers who were incompetent, lazy, and never did their job, and would stab you in the back any chance they got. For along time it seemed nothing would ever  change, but In the last year they have all been replaced.  Some of the recent 1 star reviews are these people who were fired.  It seems like the company found good people to replace them.

Days are sometimes long and the factory seems behind all the time, lots of overtime is needed. It’s nice to have the money , but it wears on you. But I think with all the new equipment and new managers that is changing.

First off, working at any pharmaceutical company as a scientist is a huge responsibility and can be extremely demanding. The pressure is high and there’s so much accountability on performance, etc. However, Sheffield was really good at making sure the employees, specifically the scientists, as I worked as a biologist, are taken care of. Great management and workplace culture. Amenities and benefits were great. The hardest part of the job is meeting all the deadlines and being as efficient as possible, which would be true for any jobs out there. The most enjoyable part of the job is all of the readily available resources and using their high-tech equipment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I was able to work at a pace that was comfortable for me and had great co workers to work with that were always helpful

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The turn around rate was alittle annoying because u constantly had to show new workers what the job entailed too often

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was a prettty relaxed work environment 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Come in and do what was required of me and often went beyond my job description

Productive daily, respected, amazing team work, room for career growth, in 5 years learned many new skills, great atmosphere (positive, friendly, helpful)
Management is supportive, understanding and care about the  work/family balance. 

You get what you put in. If you do your job and are respectful its a great place to work. 
Some times the work load is heavy but you do what you got to do. 

I have been at Sheffield Pharmaceuticals for almost 6 years and I truly love it! Yes, the owner is passionate about his company, as he should be! You are expected to work and get your job done and if you make a mistake, don't hide it, own up to it and fix it and move on! 

The culture here is extremely family oriented and they understand that their employees have families too! This means a lot to me as I also have kids that I am raising and sometimes, things happen. The management team has huge hearts and they are always understanding and compassionate with employees 

One of the worse jobs I ever worked and I've worked plenty of jobs. The management was horrible, they disrespected/harassed my co-workers on a daily. They wouldn't give you the benefit of the doubt if you had a serious personal problem outside of work. I learned that if you aren't a family member or didn't come from the temp agency then they would treat you better than they treated workers from the temp agency. I was a great worker so I moved up pretty quickly and always kept my line running smoothly.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part was the feeling of a great weight being removed from my shoulders as I drove out of the parking lot for the last time.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
All senior leadership were confrontational, insincere and controlling.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
friendless, high stress, never ending

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Walking on egg shells from the first minute you walk in the door.

Sheffield  makes some interesting products and there are always different products coming in. Although I was only there for about 8 months its seems like its growing pretty quick and its really busy all the time. Its an old building but they have been installing some really new equipment that is automating alot of the jobs that were manual. There are some really good people that help you learn your job.

People work really hard and deserve to get paid way more for certain accounts. I have nothing complimentary to say about any of the people from Sheffield's except the other packagers who worked  the hardest there at the factory and got paid pathetically low for the amount and VALUE for the company in the work we did.
Especially the amount we got done.
