This used to be a wonderful start up company with standards on behavior and performance. This was a great cause for helping veterans get the outpatient medical treatment they need and deserve. Signatures core beliefs are passion, integrity, courage, and respect. I believe they were meant initially to represent the company and the founders beliefs, but as growth happened, the company values deteriorated and became something ugly and neglected. Sort of a punch line among the staff members that was brainwashed into the staffs minds to justify their behavior. I firmly believe that it’s all about the talent you hire (became a very revolving door)and also about the leadership that is supposed to set a good example of these core beliefs. I think initially that they held those beliefs in high regard and acted with those in mind, but as growth happened it really changed into a negative environment and money grubbing atmosphere(processor incentives, bonuses and upper managements unwillingness to train people properly. Sink or swim attitude with new employees)with coworkers that were really only out for themselves. Even though they claimed to care about the home/work life balance, it did not translate into the workplace. As an employee(processor then team lead), I worked about 60 hours per week and worked 6 days a week. That left little time for me to spend with my family. I, to this day, regret the amount of time I had to spend away from my children. I always had to be available to “hop on” when needed and it was needed so many times with being short staffed and having overwhelmed management. Clifton strength finders was a staple for the middle management and upper management and was a standard testing that was required. Those strengths were always listed in our email signatures. Looking back now, I see how I should’ve left sooner when reading the upper managements ‘strengths’. My decision to leave the company was very hard because of the hard work and time I put into this growing company… but the pressures, stress, and political agendas left nothing to debate. I greatly appreciate the experience I got and some of the wonderful individuals I met, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone working at signature performance unless they have a strong stomach and loose moral beliefs. Also anyone who has a family(which is 3/4 of the staff) I would discourage from being a part of this place. It broke my heart leaving this company because my fellow employees became such a huge part of my life. It was a double edged sword because everyone was so intertwined and intermingled. It became hard to differentiate between work and personal life all the way up to the executive management team. If I could give the company any advice I would say…go back to those core beliefs and set a positive example whenever you can because someone is always watching and following by the standards set by management.

Positives: get to enjoy music or podcasts. Flexible shifts. Flexible breaks and lunches. Fringe benefits. There are FEW members of management who did not lose their heart. Nice cubicles. Able to decorate. WOMEN CAN KEEP PURSE WITH THEM. Individual desks. 



Lied to in interviews. Mandatory overtime. Worked there for a few months. Great fringe benefits. Without fringe pay is NOT worth the job. The job is production based. The work that is done for veterans is what is rewarding however with meeting production it is almost as the heart of why doing the work gets lost in the job. Management only acknowledges when production is met. Otherwise you are in a sense a seat filler until you win the race. Yes they literally race or compete against teams though we are all striving for the same goal and when lose...ridiculed! The company encourages finding self-worth, individuality and your voice yet when you refuse to be their robot you are deemed insubordinate. Contradicting. No need to get comfortable because will switch you into other positions, even those WITHOUT INCREASE IN WAGES WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT. My experience would have been pleasant had I been a robot...jumped when they said jump. Job is redundant. It can become a bit tedious. Takes weeks to get in with the security clearances so be patient with process. Human Resources does not take escalated issues seriously and values tenure over new employees receiving mistreatment from management. If you have a bright personality you are encouraged to let it shine but when you do you cannot shine too bright or they will make sure it is submerged. If you experience personal issues outside of the job that would impact your position, it is not worth seeking help because they only care about productivity and not the employee.

Signature says one of their core values is integrity. However, INTEGRITY IS NOT A CORE VALUE based on the actions management and the Board of Directors. They constantly lie to their employees and provide employees with false hope. Their managers are petty and LOVE to micromanage. Lot's of nepotism; they play favorites. Things change constantly. I've been with the company for 3 years and have had FIVE DIFFERENT MANAGERS!!! We are given new seating arrangements EVERY 2 MONTHS. We move so much that it doesn't make sense to personalize your space because you'll be required to move as soon as you settle in and become used to your new working space. Managment recently promised a client that we could process a ridiculously high volume of claims within a ridiculousy short period of time. When we didn't hit the  goal set before us, managment blamed the claims processors instead of admitting they made a mistake in making a promise THEY KNEW THEY COULDN'T KEEP!!!! Many of the managers were processors at one point and time; they KNOW HOW TO PROCESS CLAIMS. Why not jump in the trenches with your subordinates and HELP with the work load so we have a chance at reaching the goals set before us?!?!?!? Lastly, you're required to work 8 or more hours of overtime EVERY SINGLE WEEK. There IS NO work/life balance whatsoever. The company provides TERRIBLE benefits. The benefits are SO EXPENSIVE that your take home pay is laughable. I could go on and on but there's not enough time, energy and space to do so.

Joining Signature was a fabulous experience, and I was blown away by their support in the first few months of employment. From being welcomed to the team to being trained in a variety of ways, I felt my transition to the workplace from college was highly supported and individualized. A typical day in my position includes a team meeting, dedicated work time, an hour lunch, and collaboration with others to complete my work. My direct manager and upper leadership have been wonderful, always asking for my insight, answering questions, and helping me establish growth plans. Our culture is strong; I feel like I know everyone on the floor and the company is always hosting events to connect and thrive at work. I can't pinpoint the hardest part of the job as my responsibilities vary so often based on seasons. What I find most enjoyable is the opportunity to personalize my experience - I can decorate my cubicle, pursue passion projects, pick what learning and development programs I want to be in, and meet new Associates through my work in communications. The list goes on!

Co-workers were very friendly and helpful, it was a very pleasant place to work. The leads are outstanding and always helpful and willing to answer any questions. Management could have been more supportive during the pandemic. There were additional coaching activities my lead and I wanted to do to increase my productivity, but it was difficult while working remotely so we were going to wait until we were back in the office. Unfortunately I was fired before that happened for not meeting the productivity requirement. The hardest part of the job was meeting that productivity requirement (claims per hour). The most enjoyable part of the job was the job itself. I loved processing healthcare claims for the VA. It gave me great satisfaction knowing I was helping veterans get their healthcare paid for.

Signature Performance is a great company to work for. Training for the assigned hospital was provided along with all necessary tools needed to accomplish all expectations related to coding with the assigned hospital. The hardest part of the job was encountering patients with procedures for which I have not encountered before. I have learned to code many more types of cases and have great review tools to ensure the best coding could be done. The culture was always centered around teamwork and integrity of the position held. A typical day working would start with checking emails, then work queues for accounts on hold, pending queries from physicians and then the work list assigned. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting the acknowledgement of a job well done and being able to earn the quarterly production bonus.

Signature has become a run of the mill workplace with no values. The management only cares about your production and nothing else. They attempt to hold you accountable for low production or quality when the training for claims processing is less than stellar. You are trained on a very complex job with alot of different variables for 3 days and then thrown on the work floor with very little help from their so called leads. Communication from upper management is very poor and they usually don't reveal things to you until the day of. They have some very dedicated employees that work so hard but management don't treat people with dignity or respect. Upper management is in over their heads with these outrageous production requirements. I wouldn't recommend working here because it feels like a high school with unqualified managers.

Overall a great company to work for. The culture is great and everyone is so nice. I’ve not met one person that was downright rude or refused to help you when you need help with something. Several shifts for flexibility, understanding managers, coworkers that are easy to get along with, I could keep going on and on. This is not your typical call center where you are treated only as a number. The only con about this company is that the health insurance is very high. The pay is pretty great compared to other similar jobs, so that does help some. This company and every coworker that I have communicated with truly cares about helping our Veterans and it shows in the work that everyone does.

The managers don't seem to understand basic english, when you ask them a question, they give you a text book response that doesn't even answer said question. HR takes weeks to respond back to an email or voicemail, terrible communication. Insurance plans are a joke $600-800 a month for 1 person and there are only 2 plans to choose from. The pay is not worth this position. I love working in the facility and with my direct and indirect coworkers but as for the company, I would never work for them again. They're like helicopter parents and micromanage you without knowing what you're actually doing or what you are doing. They have absolutely no clue how to do the job themselves or the terminology they use doesn't translate to the job, they are clueless. I rely on my coworkers to translate what this ridiculousy terrible and illiterate company is trying to say.  

They promote lemmings who are terrible managers and people. Seriously, If you want to get promoted never voice your opinion. The executives are vindictive and petty. They only promote yes men and people who have innapropriate relationships with them. That last part sadly is not an exaggeration. They have a lot of "core values" that sound good, and they live up to exactly none of them. Integrity? No. Respect? Lol. Courage? Zip. Passion? Only for shorting their workers while they count a pile of cash. You will be a number, a quota and nothing more and will replace you as quickly as a couple sick days and a late arrival. I regret staying here and should have left long ago when the job market was better.
