What is the best part of working at the company?
Unfortunately there was no best part. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's a new company so there is no structure in that place whatsoever. They only had 3 ppl at the time updating processes so as you can imagine a lot of us were failing calls due to them changing the workflows every 5 minutes and they lied about the job being remote and changed it 2 weeks after we were hired to “hybrid”. Communication is not very good and they don’t have their employees back. Also had no plans for if Covid would arise it did arise and I caught it along with others and they did nothing. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hectic no structure all over the place the hire up don’t know much about the job processes if you ask because they themselves have only worked there for a couple of months

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Taking calls about members plans prior authorizations medications etc

- No room for growth as they hire outsiders for higher up positions rather than internal promotions. 
- It’s a call center. 
- Management will breathe down your neck even after they asked you how you prefer to be coached and you say don’t do that. 
- The Hybrid Remote Work - not true, based on performance, only after 3 months of already working there, could be revoked for months if you miss a simple thing while on a call. 
- Company doesn’t assist with clarification on letters sent to members which results in more high volume, angered customers 
- If you’re really good at your job, even if you’re not out of training yourself you will be forced to train all new hires going forward for a brand new position that you’re basically spearheading because you got a grasp of it and even the management that are supposed to know about the new position don’t understand, oh and you’ll get to do it all without any raises or anything!

Pros: good starting pay, positive work culture, nice office with perks like a stocked kitchen and occasional catered lunches, good initial training, very professional.

Cons: this is a fairly new company and as such there have been a lot of changes to department structure, policies, ongoing training, and expectations for employees. At times it feels chaotic and confusing. Annual raises are somewhat arbitrary, with some people getting less than $.25 and others getting over a dollar. This doesn't correlate with any kind of metric that you could actively work throughout the year to achieve. They also aren't up front about pay rates for internal promotions. You just have to apply and find out later if it was worth it.

Conclusion: I would work there again because I feel the pros outweighed the cons and ultimately I loved my job, but if your goal is continued advancement maybe it wouldn't be a good fit for you. 

The poorest structure and management I’ve ever seen in a company. Their policies are changed in a whim with no consideration of the employees and there is only on competent manager. Supervisors quitting left and right leaving agents to me managed by ppl who don’t understand half of the job. The biggest slap in the face is the culture being “family” when it’s far from that type of environment. Every time you think things are growing in the right direction they come up with something to increase the number of unhappy employees. It usually takes time for me to notice the short comings of a job but they show up immediately here. Nothing is ever explained the same and management literally does not care about employees

The Supervisor were very encouraging and knowledgeable, the company has great benefits

Dealing with irate customers by helping them correct certain information

The work environment was busy and the culture was great you could express your different beliefs as long as it was in a reasonable place and time

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast- pace working environments taking inbound calls and making out bound call to different clients to get information processed

I have been with SmithRx for almost a year and it’s exciting to continue to see our growth. Because the company is always evolving to meet the needs of our current and prospective clients, it does create an environment of constant change. But this is a good problem to have.

We have a lot of great people invested in the mission of our Company and when we work together that’s when the magic happens. I love hearing all of the teamwork that goes on behind the scenes of every single member interaction during our weekly All Hands. Everyone doing their part to help our members to have access to affordable healthcare so they can in turn focus on what matters most in their own lives.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing at this point. Maybe the lies they tell you? 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They have no communication, high expectations, managers that don’t understand the job. And the whole place is built on false promises 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A dictatorship, they say they want you to be happy but if you complain they retaliate, and they will threaten to fire you over anything. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hellish, constant fear of when they are going to change the next thing and make our job harder.

High performers often end up being assigned more work rather than being rewarded for their effort, including getting scheduled for holidays or heavier workloads because they’re seen as capable of handling everything. Management and team leads seemed mainly focused on attendance and micromanaging rather than actually providing support or helping employees grow.
The workplace culture didn’t feel very inclusive or supportive, especially for women. Overall, it felt like a controlling environment with low morale. The only real positive was the free snacks.

Do not apply for patient access specialist. You will be under trained and feel stressed and overwhelmed once on the floor. Your managers will only care about numbers and have zero empathy.  Then you will reach an amazing goal of savings for the company and receive nothing but a small catered lunch. They will treat you like a child and ride on your coat tails while sucking up to the CEO. 

Started out promising then eventually (6months later) company has no strategically way of caring for their employees and let alone management was always unprofessional. I learned a lot about PBM but it wasn’t worth the stress and not worth going through unfairness with managment.  Then their healthcare started to go down for the employees. Also, not enough claims are assigned which puts you at an unsuccessful position with meeting quota.
