What is the best part of working at the company?
When I was interviewed for the Accounts Payable position for SolarEdge the Assistant Controller explain the detail of the position working with vendors, expenses reports, general ledger helping with payment clearing. The day I started things definitely were not in place. I had to wait for a week to have access to the software.  The assistant controller was out for three weeks the day she returns. We had a meeting about my role in the department. It  was totally different from when I was interviewed.  I was told that I would be auditing invoices and I would receive about 400 to 550 a day and could not leave  until they were all approved  Everyday . It was definitely not what I was interviewed for.  From that day on was so unorganized miscommunication or no communication at all.  For the first time ever I’ve never had such horrible experience with a company. In all my career.  Very disappointed, bad management by all means.  Other employees would mention that others would not stay more than 3 to 4 months before they would leave. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No communication, bad management

A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK:
   - Busy technical support contact center. Exactly what you would expect it to be, back to back calls during peak times, scheduled breaks and lunches to accommodate volume and staffing.

MANAGEMENT: 
  - Management is very approachable and down to earth. They have accommodated last minute needs with having to leave early to pick up my kids or dr appointments. There are expectations of performance as any job would require. As long as you are doing your job and not slacking off, there are no issues.

WORKPLACE CULTURE:
  - Culture has changed a bit since covid. Hybrid schedule makes the office feel too big and quiet. Overall, great family atmosphere still with everyone doing their part to make it a good place to work. Lunches provided, kitchen is (usually) stocked with snacks and drinks, coffee keg and more.

I worked a year and a half with Solar Edge,  the first couple months were great, learning alot of different skills and technology, but once  you're done training it's go time. It's a fast paced call center which was always understaffed for the volume they had. Field techs would spend an hour plus on hold, and you were expected to take and end the call in under 8 minutes. Breaks were scheduled, and every minute off schedule, or not on the phone put a target of your back from management, who were constantly trying to hit metrics from HQ.  The people were great and the outside of work culture was strong, but the burn out and turnover rate was extremely high.  And since its a support call center, there was very limited room to grow and move up for most people outside the inner circle.  Though I learned alot of skills, it was not a sustainable long term position. I hope things have changed since I left.

Their product is not great and always broken as well as their software. Forced OT because management does not know how to manage a team of support agents. If you progress to Tier 1 support they do not allow you to go back to the prior position you were in due to everyone despising being on Tier 1 because of the awful job. They force you into Tier 1 whether you are ready or not by guilt tripping you and making you feel like a bad person for not moving up on the team. They build their own software and it doesn't work half the time and neither do the new inverters. New bugs and issues every other day, not worth being yelled it by field techs and not worth the forced OT on the weekends since they do not know how to manage a support team. They also lied about their position being full time remote and have forced others back to the office when hired for a remote position.

Solaredge used to be such a great place to work, having a great work environment that gave a genuine team feeling with employees. Management likes to blame the stock price for the layoffs, but really it was poor planning. The constant rush to get new overseas agents trained while laying off seasoned technicians has caused significant gaps in knowledge and efficiency. This has now led to an extremely negative environment where every employee (this is not an exaggeration) is looking for a new job. The only reason it doesn’t get a lower rating is because of how great it used to be working here. Hopefully they can get back to this, otherwise I would avoid solaredge at all cost. 

The upside was working for a company that was doing good things for the planet by design. The downside was an aggressive startup culture that didn't particularly compensate its employees well for what it asked of them. Even as a man I could see some pretty clear misogyny from my coworkers at a low level, and heard that it was also pretty apparent from my colleagues who were women (few and far between, no wonder). 

Overall it was good as a stepping stone, but rapidly soul-sucking with some pretty clear favoritism. 

My first few days here I realized its a place I want to stay with long term. This company provides comfort does not overwork you nor does it give you a toxic work environment. Provides a safe place for everyone where you get to be within a community. Also attend events and a place where not just the manager gets to grow within their career but everyone in company gets the chance to have career development. The work culture here is everyone empowers each other to strive for more. Very team oriented, if you need help; help will be provided. If you are looking for growth this company will give you a foot in door to grow your skillsets.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay was ok but the work was very repetitive.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The Supv were very big on micromanaging, there was a lack of communication which made the work environment stressful.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There was a lot micromanaging and lack of direction.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Standing on the production line all day, performing a 100% inspection on every unit assembled.

I am on my second month with SolarEdge and I have made a new family! My colleagues are extremely nice. SolarEdge has a family fell, great sized company where it's not too big or too small so you get close with everyone. I am happy with my job position, pay, managers and my boss who I report to. 
We have custom free lunch delivered Mondays and Tuesdays. Our company events are always fun. Love playing with the foosball hockey tables! :) 
GREAT Benefits, I say this from experience. 

Very dynamic job.  Remote position with a home office.  Schedule site and customer meetings associated with portfolios or projects.  The flexibility between home office and field work is definitely a plus.  Do like the fact that the job has me travel covering a large region (in and out of the US).  Get team to work with.
