Spherion staffing does the hiring, basically anyone can get the job but the job is not for just anyone. Their over time pay is decent when it's available. If you worked at a call center before you know yelling and rude customers are the norm. You will most likely be taking calls from 8 or 10 different campaigns and need to keep yourself updated on all of them. Your supervisor or team lead will help but know that they are sometimes not fully updated themselves. The administration team is not always on the same page. They pay weekly which is nice. No paid vacation time or sick days. sorry. They have a point system for days you call out, come in late, leave early, bathroom breaks, lunch breaks (30 min NOT PAID), and two 15 min breaks. They have a schedule set to tell you when you take your breaks and when you are expected to be back on your desk. They will let you know if you are coming in late from lunch and breaks or if you have gone past your 10 min allowed for bathroom. They don't care if you are sick so you might as well call off if you are. Hope the review helps, work is work.

• Conduct and audit the pre-determined applicant group; reviewed and processed appeals of applications; and assist Manager/Supervisor with customer service issues.

I learned how government programs worked.
Management was always willing to cross train and provide constructive feedback which is always a gift. 

The hardest part of the day is when we wasn't able to approve someone by .1 cent. 
The best part was learning and administering different programs.

Straight Data Entry processed over 550 per da for Assurance Cellular Phone Service .Entered  applications information into computer after being scanned ...Approved though the system. Was my typical work day. I learned to keep a fast pace and correctly. I worked with a great team of people. As a matter of fact I was working @ Solix when the storm Sandy came. It was the hardest part of the job was the mail no longer was running due to the storm so the meant we couldnt put thy applications in the system if there was no applications. The most enjoyable part of this job was there was plenty of overtime nice lunches on Saturday....And again a great Team of people to have worked with

Review any correspondences with the Client and applicant, Check telephone messages. Go over a certain amount of applications every day. 
Work as fast and efficiently as possible. Used all different kind of resources to get the applications completed. Management was also available to help if necessary. Co workers were amazing. It was like a close group that usually worked together , asked each other questions, and helped one another to get the work completed.  The hardest part of the job was waiting for the client to send in their work. The most enjoyable part of the job was finishing the applications.

The company was a nice place to work, I wish the assignment had lasted longer.  They train you for about 2 weeks to be a PIA rep.  the job is a little intimidating at first if you don't know anything about federal funding programs.  If you have some knowledge of installation of computer systems this may be a good fit but you don't have to have this knowledge to do the job.  They offer more than enough coworker and managerial help to assist you in performing your job.  Not a bad place to work.

Not satisfied with the chance to advance. I took the proper route for upper level management but was denied on several occasions that was non performance related. Nepotism was the norm. My final two years were the worst I have had in all the years of my work history. We had to work on a system that did not work LITERALLY. Our client did not listen to our suggestions and we suffered for that.I actually enjoyed my first 10 years but it became apparent that we not be around with the management we had.

everyday you must be on time and ready to work by 8am. they company taught many customer service techniques and the bosses when pretty fun. but strick at the same time. as for the employees, they were "hand picked". most of them had ties to the mangers. 
i would say that the worst thing about solix was that customers called in mad all the time and you had to just let them yell at you and virtually get over the fact that you are gunna get cussed out every day. it made you biuld tough skin.

A typical day at work I would logged into my station and begin taking calls. What I learn is to be more interactive with customers. Management was very helpful in guiding me through the day to day of how things work. My co-workers were awesome it was a great work enviroment we got along and made the best of our work enviroment. The hardest part about the job was dealing with the customers who called in angry. The most enjoyable part of the job was helping the customers and that they were satisfied

This was mainly open contract, when there is work available there is lots of overtime, and the benefits that goes with doing overtime, such as breakfast, lunch or dinner, or surprised gift cards, and tee shirts etc.  In addition, there when there is disaster such as Hurricane Sandy, you are able to work from home.

Very strict management. However, once work is done with quality and you are punctual, everyone is happy.

the hardest part is when the line would mess up you would have to hurry up get the boxes and toss them on the ground stack them up than when the line starts back up hurry up and push them back through as your boxing more 
the best part is you never have time to think time does fly by
