This company is a small start up that is lead by greedy and narcissistic individuals (CEO and DOPS). When approached about wrongdoings to employees, they always turn it on the employee and make it their fault. They treat their staff like we are disposable and replaceable while justifying it by saying “we pay their wages so they owe us”. They have staff drive from Woodland to Folsom in a day and will still make you sure you see 6 people because patients are only numbers to them. 6 is 6 no matter their needs or location. They expect you to work on your days off and require on call hours without disclosing in the interview process. When you work weekends you don’t get any other days off or short shifts so you end up working weeks straight. They don’t offer any training but have unrealistic expectations while management themselves are not able to meet the expectations they set. Their management doesn’t know how to communicate. They communicate by sending messages telling you that you do stuff wrong and are too busy to do any problem solving. Nothing will change while current management is in charge. 

Hospice team was amazing. It sad that not everyone can attend IDG since most staff work multiple jobs. 

Home health was a lot. Schedulers throw patient on your schedule without letting you know and patient might not in geographic area you are headed. The home health manager just walks around screaming and talking down to individuals. It's very disrespectful and toxic. It's better to sit eye to eye than to stand over someone and making demands all the time.  Communication,  office etiquette, and showing Grace is much needed.

I was hired with six full time staff at least three of us left and other three are per diem staff only.

This company is fairly new, although they're new they're growing quickly. We have some of the best and supportive staff here. I can see that the administrator really has her heart in patient care and supporting the field nurses. I also noticed how hard working the office supervisor is and patient he is when assisting the nurses. We really have a handful of good gems here in this company. I think they really embody the core values of Sonder home health. I am over all satisfied with my experience at Sonder.

The people that I worked with. They are very hard workers. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part about this company was not having the necessary insurance contracts to be a real partner in the community. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful, but friendly. Everyone made the best of their job due to enjoying working with each other.

Being out in the field and creating partnerships.

WHEN I GOT THE JOB FOR SONDER, I KNEW THAT THIS WILL BE MY HOME. I FELT THE WARM AND WELCOMING OF THE OWNERS AND THE STAFF. I HAVE WORKED FOR MANY OTHER AGENCIES AND FELT THAT THIS AGENCY HIRE THEIR STAFF THAT ARE ALLIGN TO THE AGENCY'S MISSION: COMAPASSIONATE, CONFIDENT, GOOD/OPEN COMMUNICATION, GOOD ASSESSMENT AND PRIORITIZE PATIENT'S NEEDS. 

The training process at Sonder is very detail, they make sure before any clinician goes out in the field they’re fully trained. The Administrator is an awesome trainer and she has good teaching skills. Everyone in the office is really helpful, they cater a lot to the office staff and field clinicians. The Administrator Assistant is the heart of the company as he is helpful in all ways and so patient! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
This place has a huge turnover rate. The owners are unstable and unprofessional. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything! The workload is unbearable, no breaks, makes you work long hours 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, and unprofessional, and the owners have unrealistic expectations. They will make your life miserable

The office work environment is fantastic! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I felt like I fit in from the start. I feel like my hard work is recognized and appreciated. I have learned so much in my current position and I look forward to growing and learning even more.

I feel I have autonomy when setting my weekly schedule and frequencies for my patients. I never feel pushed to do things or micromanaged. Scheduling patients can be hard but that is with all home health.
