A typical day for me would include caring for the daily needs of four mentally disabled men. It really taught me how to manage my time effectively. I learned how to give medication safely and appropriately through my medication training course. My boss and my co-workers were supportive, team players. The hardest part of the job was that it began to really conflict with my school schedule. The most enjoyable part of the job was the fact that I was making a positive difference in these four men's lives.

Warm Caring Staff Who Is Involved With All Of The Female And The Male Clients.  Everyone Is Treated As Equals No Favoritism Or Special Treatment.  The Culture Is Adults With Special Needs With Staff Members Who Really Care About The Well Being Of All Of Their Clients !  The Fun Parts Are The Day Trips And Sampling Different Food With Cooks From Different Countries Who Also Speak Several Langues !

I was always uplifted and supported by this employer and all fellow employees. This is a company that truly cares about it's staff. 
They hold staff appreciation days, as well as individualized appreciation. This is not a typical 9-5 job were you do your work and leave. They aren't the type of company were you never receive recognition or praise.South Shore Support is so much more than that, it's like a home away from home, or a second family.

A typical day at work for me was coming in and saying good morning to everyone then saying good morning to my boss. Afterwards I would look on my desk to see if anyone has left anything for me to do and then I go to people and ask them if they have anything for me to do. 

The company wants everyone to succeed and grow.  Some trainings are via video or web based, the rest is hands on learning.

If you have good work ethics; you will be highly valued by both the Agency and the people served.

The company itself is a good company overall to work for. There were some minor issues with management when I worked there but the environment was good. Also you get to meet and work with a mixture of different people and culture and serve those that our help the most. 

Positive place of employment!  My co-workers are helpful and kind.  My supervisor is supportive and understanding.  I enjoy seeing the individuals we support when they stop by the office. 

This a great place to work. You get a great sense of reward when working with our individuals, as though you are really making a difference in their lives.

I looked forward everyday to go to work, my colleagues and supervisor were always very pleasant, their always took time to know each staff person well.

I like the flexibility to travel every day to my individuals homes. It's a laid back casual dress code. Management needs to be more organized and be more responsive.
