If you aren’t a doctor or nurse this place will not value you.  Clinical staff is shown WAY MORE appreciation than clerical staff, and HR and higher ups do not take complaints seriously. You’re basically given the run around until you ultimately become tired and give up trying. Only gave a 2nd star because  this is a better hospital network than the others in the area. 
Administrative/operational staff receive low pay for the amount of work they put in and asking for higher pay is frowned upon by leadership. They make it seem as though you should be grateful for being paid at all while they get high pay to be the face and take credit for their employees’ hard work. Over all toxic atmosphere with higher ups that turn a blind eye to any concerns brought up. If you aren’t a doctor, don’t bother unless you want to suffer from burnout and never ending stress.

The day commences with work orders after a small huddle. 

This department consists of an entity to many skill levels and there is always something to learn. 

Management,  I consider quite fair but definitely a lot of room for improvement. 

The hardest part of my department's job in my opinion would be a lack of man power resources. Work schedules are way far where they should be to have a better balance at work and home time.

The best part of the job is seeing plans and goals coming together under difficult situations.  Appreciation noted at meetings with free food periodically. 

The culture is well balanced despite our geological location.



This is a healthcare system made up of 5 individual hospital that merged into one large system under one license number to total 848 beds. There were many challenges in serving as a System Director of Quality and Regulatory Compliance which required me to ensure all facilities were practicing the same way, using the same processes and policies while at the same time respecting each facility's  individual uniqueness. This job opportunity has provided me professional challenges and growth that I would not have had or experienced working at a single structured hospital.

The RN is responsible for managing patients admitted or being seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures; performs the primary function of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, guiding, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients. Assessments related to specific conditions, therapies and interventions are required. The RN shall oversee and guide nursing employees that are under their supervision. Responsible for interaction with hospital staff and/or ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts with identification and assistance in resolutions. May be occasions when it will be necessary to work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on-call/call-back status

Working for STHS is great they have a good culture but dont do what must to maintain that culture. The laboratory is definitely a place to double think before applying. The work can be overwhelming and its underpaid and unrecognized. The effort and importance of the lab techs is not noticed nor appreciated. The supervisors are terrible, there is never supplies. The environment is not friendly in the lab. Noone gets along and there is always tension in the atmosphere. The place does not care for the patients just turn around times. Things at this place could be better. 

The job itself is good and the overall culture is nice, however the management in my particular department leaves much to be desired. Staffing is bare bones which makes for incredibly stressful and ridiculously busy times. If one person is out sick the entire department falls apart because there is no depth to our staffing. If you are scheduled to leave but your replacement is late or has called in and on-call has not found coverage you are expected to stay however long it takes to get someone else there, OR just work a double shift with no conversation. Planning anything outside of work is difficult to impossible.

If you’re a licensed therapist, run! These people claim to have a competitive salary, but it’s actually fixed. It’s either their way or nothing. In order to move up, you need to apply to other positions and that’s if you get it. I have learned that the company does things out of their own convenience. They get more for you to get paid less and make you do more work. If your new the first three months, you will not have pto and therefore if there are holidays coming up, they are unpaid days. You have to use pto days you have for those holidays, again if you do have them. 

Low pay, efforts not recognized, supervisor and leadership positions not in the best hands, lack of leadership, everybody wants to be boss nobody wants to follow policies and instructions, zero organization, short staff so workload is huge and not compatible with compensations/pay rates, administration likes to hear employees to do nothing about the issues, they just care about executives. Disrespectful coworkers, unethical behaviors and degrading treatment. They have tried to hire at least 3 or 4 people since I joined and ALL of them left before the first week. Yeah that how bad it is.

I really did not  enjoyed myself working for this company at all. I like housekeeping but dealing with people, who  knew and saw how much I was making is not right and the director did not care who he show that information too., that is why I left this job. I only like a couple of the co-workers. The best part about this job was the fact I was working towards my dream of working in a hospital but if I had to deal with people looking into my personal salary and wanted to know who referral me for the job is uncalled for. And that actually what they did to me. When in fact I am over qualify for the job,

I was hired under a certain schedule due to the fact I had a second job. A few months after working there they didn't want to respect that set schedule and scheduled me 3 days in a row causing me to fall asleep at the wheel and have a severe accident after my 3rd day straight without sleep. According to most staff, it is always like this, no respect for employees and they will over work you every chance they get. Sometimes I was the only CNA for 2 entire floors when there's supposed to be 2 CNA's per floor tk begin with.
