Want to work every holiday and not be able to take off whenever the company feels like blocking requests? Dream of not knowing your schedule more than 3 days in advance? Do you wish management would leave general complaints about company performance so that you would see them as soon as you clock in? What about being penalized with an attendance infraction for being 3 minutes late? Does a 10 minutes break seem like more than enough time? Then this is your kind of place. Expect to receive evaluations and be penalized for not following updated procedures that no one in management bothered to tell you about on a regular basis. In the Albany call center on your ridiculously short break you may be able to use the restroom, if you can find a working one,  but I'd advise you to B.Y.O.T.P because zero money is spent maintaining the facilities. Perhaps you'll get accustomed to piles of garbage through the building complete with angry signs demanding employment should take the trash out ----as unpaid work, since everyone is supposed to be at their stations their entire shifts except for the absolute minimum per labor law break period. You'll feel like garbage if you stick around long enough. Don't expect any consistency in the schedule either--- it isn't predictable at all on a day to day basis. There are also helpful signs suggesting you social distance yourself....however there are never enough workstations in working order for people to be able to do that. Add to that the fact you'll be judged, not only for being professional and polite to clients, which is understandable, but for needlessly foolish metrics like the number of times you address callers by their first name or how many times you say please and thank you --- points off for synonyms like thanks....Also, if you use terms of common courtesy like sir ,ma'am, Mr., or Mrs., expect to be reprimanded. Be prepared to behave as if you don't have a brain in your head and force callers to confirm the spelling of M-A-I-N S-T-R-E-E-T or S-M-I-T-H. You'll probably notice paycheck discrepancies and have policy questions on a regular basis, but don't be silly enough to expect a response from your supervisor.  On top of all that, the primary way management will see you, discuss you, and converse with you is not as an individual but as a collection of statistics that, when questioned about, they are unable to explain. One of those is the percentage of calls you take without messages. They do NOT take into account a number of their clients don't want messages and a number of callers prefer not to leave messages. They don't even account for times when their system isn't working properly or you have other technical issues. They ONLY EVER care about the number. I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone. All people deserve better treatment, conditions,  communication, and respect.

There are 2 sides to the company, southern Answering service and Elation Answering Service. Depending on what side you work will determine how you will be trained.  If you work on the Elation side you will be trained by someone online out of state. No one will be happy to have you shadow them. I actually had one lady write a huge complaint email to my trainer about how this "wasn't her job."   If you work for the southern Answering side Dwight will be your manager and you will get trained start to finish by one person in the office. 

The health insurance is $200/month with a $5k deductible and this includes regular office visits to your PCP.  This place has the worst health insurance I've ever seen.  

Management doesn't care about you at all. "FULL TIME," is anything 30 hours or more but you will also get sent home early a lot of days.  

I'm not sure how any adult can live not knowing what their paycheck will be week to week but some people seem to manage to stick around this place.  You will answer calls for over 800+ companies so every call will be completely different.  You get 2 ten minute breaks and a 20 minute lunch.  

This is a place that most people leave within a few months so take that as you wish.

a typical day at work you are a number of people. you can be a customer service rep, dispatcher, boss, trainer and have a million calls at once coming at you. the people inside your office is nice but the company overall in mn who you have to respond back and forth with is a mess. they dont have everything organized, they mess up quite frequently and overall dont care about the albany location. it can be very stressful. if the management and mn location was fair among all agents in albany ga then the job would be great besides the management and them changing rules ever so often just for albany ga not mn

Schedule changes and only having a one week notification they are about to occur.

Inclusive and Supportive.. I can ask anything and get an answer. Promote from within format as well.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I sign in, make my break schedules for my employees, field questions in main chat, touch base with my fellow leads to determine needs,... Provide support to my employees/agents as needed.

Small call center filled with nice people (you can find pics of it on Google). Breaks are short (2-10 minute and 1-20 minute during 8 hr shift), but they are all paid so you really work 7.2 hours and get paid for 8 everyday. The call center is open 24/7, 365 days a year, so they want people with mostly open availability. They provide free snacks and coffee in break room kitchen. 80% of the messages you take are medical related for doctors offices and hospitals. You only need one monitor to do the job, so that should show how simplistic their operating system is

I loved working in the Altamonte Springs location! Everyone was easy to get along with! I enjoyed the fast paced no two days the same environment because I get bored easily. Great people to work for and with.

Manager is very nice and helpful, very good trainer.
Just started working at the company but so far everyone has been welcoming and nice.
Hardest part are the short breaks but they are paid.

Company is low grade the pay should be better but they try their best to compete with Geico when they could never compare to geico This Company is Bottom of the Barrel .

The management left a lot to be imagined but I loved working with my co-workers and I made some great connections. They did buy us lunch from time to time.

loved working here but it was only a temp job- worked here as a on call operator / dispatch for many many companies included on call doctors and dentists.
