In my opinion, you can't describe a typical day in this line of work. Every day has the potential to be different whether positive or negative depending on how your client is feeling and functioning that day. The training I received left me feeling prepared and ready to jump in. However, I also came "preloaded" with a lot of knowledge and know-how. I am a one-on-one so my entire day is spent with my client. When hired I signed a contract saying I wouldn't take a lunch break which I signed very willingly. I eat with my client and the only time I leave them is if I need the bathroom. Consistency is a key factor here and that's what you are for your client. Once a week or so a supervisor will pop into the school to check on you and offer support when needed. Otherwise, the lead teacher in your clients' classroom is who runs the show. Management for the most part is pretty good. They're communicative and do their best to get you what you need. The issues are with the company as a whole and the lack of support, appreciation, or care for employees. It is considered a part-time job and they are upfront and let you know that they can't guarantee summer work. They will pay drive time when the job location is beyond 30min both ways, as well as mileage. There's also a late cancelation policy that gets you paid for a couple of hours when a client cancels the session. When I was first hired I was happy, excited, and appreciative for the opportunity to work my dream job, the one I was built for. Now a couple of years in I'm seeing the lack of care or concern for employees or struggles with trying to stay on with the company as you wait weeks for a contract during summer that was supposed to start right after school let out. You can be an exemplary employee with no complaints, and no callouts, every school you work in wants you back and you make the company look good, gaining trust again where they've previously lost it. None of that matters to the higher-ups or the company as a whole. They don't care if they lose that person because the next new hire is ready to go. Your management will care but they can only do so much. For me, the hardest part of this job is the breaks from school and worrying about your finances during that time. This job is hard and it is not for everyone. You can start the day with smiles then an hr later be fighting to safely de-escalate an explosive escalation. The most enjoyable part of the job hands down is watching your client learn and grow. It's a whole other feeling when you go from holding hands constantly preventing elopement, to walking next to each other hands-free.  I love what I do, but my appreciation for the company has been diminished.

A typical work day is always different.  Some days are challenging, some are frustrating, most are rewarding!  I have learned so much since joining this team on a clinical level to a supervisory level. Management in Virginia is centered around client growth; knowing for successful client growth, we need to also grow our employees.  All supervisors, managers, and even the director carry a caseload to keep them fresh in the field by walking the walk with the technicians, RBTS, and BCBAs.  The work culture  is typical of any industry where long term work friendships are formed, as well there are always some wrinkles that need ironed out. The hardest part of this job for me is ensuring balance of work and life, however, the flexibility to achieve that is amazing.  The most enjoyable part of my job is knowing each employee and client, and being able to see the success and improvements in their lives because they came to SpringHealth.  

I’ve worked with Spring Health Behavioral Health and Integrated Care as a contractor for over three years, and it’s been rewarding to watch the company grow from a small team into a thriving and well-structured organization. The work we do makes a real difference in the lives of the families we support, and that mission has always remained clear.

Like any company experiencing rapid growth, there have been challenges and areas of concern along the way. However, what stands out most to me is that I’ve always had access to leadership, whether a supervisor or director who was open to hearing feedback and working together to find solutions. That openness has helped me feel heard and supported, even when I had questions or concerns.

Spring Health has consistently shown a commitment to building systems that support clinicians and the individuals we serve. The flexibility and autonomy in my role as a contractor has been a major strength, and I’ve appreciated the consistent opportunities to contribute to the company’s development.

This is a company that’s still growing, so things aren’t always perfect, but if you’re someone who values collaboration, feedback, and meaningful work, this is a place where your voice can make a difference!

I've been employed by SpringHealth for 3 years as a BCBA and can attest to quality of services provided. As opposed to many companies, SpringHealth's billing structure is manageable and creates and environment to promote quality over quantity. This is a "work from home" position where you can create your own schedule. The clients do attend workshop during the day, but you are also able to see them in their homes. I personally enjoy "marathon days" where I start early and end late a couple days a week, then work from home the rest. As with any non-clinic BCBA job, you are going to travel. SpringHealth provides competitive mileage reimbursement and if you set your travel up smart, it makes for a smooth billing process. Billing is also another strong point. SpringHealth billing and patient files/contact notes are all electronic. No need for a hundred forms or remembering those pesky CPT codes. Their billing department will enter those for your and you just have to populate it on your note! I enjoy SpringHealth because the team atmosphere. I feel as though I am valued as an employee and not just a stream of revenue.

There were simply too many negatives to this job to make the pay worth it. You get to make your own schedule, which is one of the big selling points, but in reality that doesn't really matter because most of your clients will be in day programs or group homes so, unless you want to work until late into the evening, the only time you can really see clients is from about 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You get reimbursed for mileage but will spend 6-10 hours driving each week which is time you don't get to count towards monthly hourly quotas. Because you get to make your own schedule,  you can choose to have any day off you want, but with this job there's no such thing as a day off. You will have clients, parents, support coordinators, supervisors, and program managers calling you any time day or night, that includes weekends. You write behavior support plans and train staff to implement them, but since the staff you train belong to other companies and agencies, there's no accountability for following the plans and you can't do anything about it. Your caseload will be so large that the relaxed, easy, breezy job they pitch you will never be your reality.

I have really enjoyed this job in the year that I have worked here and I feel that both my BCBA and the management overall is really supportive not only of seeing my client succeed and assisting with my clients' treatment goals, but also seeing my success and being engaged in my professional and personal growth. The incentives and benefits that this company offers are great and I feel that I have also received adequate raises for my work. There are changes that can happen often in scheduling, which can affect my overall pay, but my BCBA is quick to attempt to find more hours for me, and I have learned a lot through the experiences I have had with multiple clients I have worked with throughout the past year. This is a great company to find support in for your career path as you grow in the profession, and to enjoy helping others achieve all that they can. 

Of the four ABA companies I’ve ever worked for this was ranked third place. It’s better than another company that had extremely poor management, but not nearly as good as the first two companies I worked for in Hawai’i. The never offered regular staff meetings/training sessions. I never felt my supervisor had my best interest in mind and I didn’t get the type of guidance I would have liked while studying for a higher credential. I felt one of my client’s progress was very slow and I don’t think it was in his best interest for me to continue providing service to him without a specific behavior training program for his maladaptive behaviors. The company review process, after which is the only time your pay can go up (annually), is poorly organized and not management initiated, so you better be on top of it or your raise will come months later than it’s supposed to. Management is poorly designed and the Supervision is sub par. 

I could not ask for a better place to work. Delta is the most supportive company I have ever worked for. They paid for my training and exam to become an RBT and the staff was more than happy to answer any of my questions along the way. I felt as if I had my own cheer squad during the entire process and I still do now as I am preparing to go back to school to obtain my BCBA. Unlike any other job I’ve had, the supervisors are happy to help with any barriers and questions that come up. We meet every week for supervision hours and once a month outside of session to discuss feedback and other comments. I feel supported, valued, and respected which is something I never thought was possible in a job. I enjoy going to work and communicating with my supervisors and co-workers. Also, upper management is just as supportive as my direct supervisors. They really value a work/life balance and always want to hear of any comments/concern we have. If you have the opportunity to work for Delta you will not regret it.

As a contractor I am very satisfied with my role and independence. Pay could be a bit better, and easy to overlook due to no extra minutiae at all. EHR is user friendly and patients have the option to utilize psychiatrists and life/health coaching if wrapped into their overall benefit. 

I interviewed for staff therapist and found the compensation package to be below my expectations. However, if a younger clinician with goals towards management, I do think it would be an opportunity difficult to pass as they are aggressively pursuing opportunities to support employees and companies offering EAP care and Insurance based, Private Pay  in the community and virtually. Steady stream of clients and able to receive practical support efficiently when needed. 

I felt compelled to write this review as I have now been employed by SpringHealth for 8 years. During my time, I've had the opportunity to grow from an entry level clinical role to my current role as an upper level Director. I have insight as to what the day to day activities of staff look like on all levels. For the sake of simplicity, there are many things that are consistent across roles. This includes flexibility in scheduling, the ability for a hybrid/remote schedule, solid benefits, bonuses available monthly and of course, access to a strong clinical team full of knowledge. I love my job, I love my team and I love the overall mission of the company to provide amazing, ETHICAL therapy to individuals nationwide.
