Enjoy the reward feeling of helping the elderly. It is sad that  all employees aren't educated on the aging progress, how to communicate and  not to compare others.
Pay is ridiculous. .31 raise through the pandemic. They gave all employees a essential worker card  but not pay to all. We got $250  minus taxes.ONCE.DONE.. There is no guidance for employees being treated with harassment by the tenants.               I reported to the  manager numerous times that there is  phyically and verbally harassment going on . Management did not report it.  So much more and then there is their lawyer.. cover up going on
..Management allows smoking in apartments,  caretakers units and staff.
Personal files for employees are not locked up, personal information is shared with the file clerks from management. You are threatened when things are what they believe is not right for them. Senior private apartments are NOT LTC, AL, but we are treated as we are ...  The RSC is asking personal questions, that only a medical/ social worker should. Oh we get a Candy Bar for Thanksgiving...not in 2020.
One good thing..one week Holiday pay...
But now it all goes to healthcare the rates and deductible and our share for care is F up.But all good for the owner...2 new buildings...

The best part of working for this company was the residents/ patients , taking care of my patients and making sure they would have everything they needed to be comfortable and safe

The most stressful part about working for at this company is that the patients/residence will not always be there one day when I get to work work some patients will not be there and that’s the most stressful part to me

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family orientated it’s like a big family. I work with the same people eight hours out of each day six days a week and everybody works together well and looks out for each other.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
a typical day at the company is get to work get my residence washed and dressed ready for the day. Feed them breakfast get them ready for the afternoon feed them lunch and interacting with my coworkers to make sure that my residence have a better day than they had the day before

The people. The residents are an inspiration to keep life going and find joy, even though life isn’t always joyful as your body is aging. The longtime and current employees who go to great lengths to create a family atmosphere, making a job not only a job.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It’s hard to replace good people and it can sometimes cause stress when there is a gap in staffing. My job is a people/care job and getting my downtime makes it possible to have better up time in my job.

Friendly and compassionate. Everyone has value.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast paced and precise. The people we care for are the virtual hug of the job.

I worked as “security”. Yet I was required to work other duties like delivering residents food (There was a lot, mop up spills, organize packages, even prepare dinners if kitchen staff forgot. It was too much and a complete mess. This place is definitely understaffed and desperately needs to hire people to do the appropriate jobs. I had to resign after having to mop up a flooded kitchen since management couldn’t hire an overnight housekeeper. It’s disrespectful not only to my time, but also to other residents that I had to put on hold to handle a different departments issue. I hope whoever decides to work here has a thick skin to stand up for themselves. I just decided it wasn’t the right fit for me especially after being called “colored”.

There is growth in the company but you have to want it 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Family members!!! Some of them at times on weekends there is call outs and couple times it was just two aides on the floor when the census was high I felt overwhelmed!!! And they didn’t even try to get someone to come in and help!!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall it’s very welcoming with some of the staff  culture differences is a lot here and you as an individual have to just try to adapt to there surroundings if possible

It just depends on how the day makes

As a care manager I worked part time and loved being with the clients.
There is a lot of politics in management. If you decide to work here make sure you document all of your interactions with management. One supervisor outright lied about directions they gave an employee. Other staff knew what was happening but couldn't do anything. The manager made up notes about conversations/ instruction she never had with her staff. She put these in the record.  I really loved my work with clients. There was little administrative support for our work.

They are timely with your pay.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being on probation for 6 months. Seems unwarranted and contributes nothing to whether employee is/isn’t fit for job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Site was clean. Culture is President does not care for workers’ financial needs. Had I stayed, it would’ve been 9 yrs before I earned $20 p/h from $17 p/h. Disgusting!!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Boring for most part. They require a BA for the job but your degree would be wasted there. The position was more suitable for a HS grad at worst and a retiree at best.

This is the most supported, relaxed, & fulfilled I have ever felt in a job! Everyone in EVERY department is kind & helpful to the residents as well as their co-workers. The residents are the number one priority of ALL staff members. I learn something new everyday which helps me continue to grow into a better nurse. Management is approachable & takes fair, appropriate action in areas needing improvement. There is on-site security 24/7. The facility is clean, beautifully decorated and most importantly-the residents are happy to be there. The best career move I made was joining this incredible team who continues to exceed expectations!

We worked as a team. Good management and company that cares for their residents and their employees deeply. Good benefits and appreciation throughout the year!!

None I would think of, apart from when we had Covid 19

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work make sure after clocking in and taking my assignments that I have all the items needed for the care of my residents , do my ADLs and continue with care and documentation till my shift is over

The Manalapan building is a brand new building and it’s no good.  I have to do the job of two or three people most times and have to many people to take care of by myself. Sometimes I can’t get to everyone by myself in enough time and then they get mad and complain. And the director of nursing is already leaving and the place has only been open for a few months. Some of the patients told me they were lied to by the sales people. So they don’t care about the workers or the patients. I came here cause it was a new building and pay was okay with sign on bonus but it’s not good pay when you doing the job of 2 people by yourself.
