I had a great experience working at Sprinter Health. The company offers an excellent work-life balance, achievable goals, and strong support from supervisors and management. It’s clear that they value their employees and want them to succeed.

That said, it’s important to note that Sprinter is a start-up, so they’re still ironing out some processes, learning, and growing. For example, the Patient Engagement Specialist role is technically in healthcare but involves a 'selling' aspect—convincing patients to schedule appointments. I wish this had been more explicitly aligned in the job listing. While it didn’t impact my overall experience, knowing this upfront would have been helpful, as I felt unprepared for this initially. 
At first, I felt unsure about the role, but with time and support, I became more confident. I hope I get the opportunity to work with Sprinter Health again in the future as they continue to grow and refine their operations, and more opportunities open up.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexibility with time, some days. Depending on daily work flow.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They will stretch your role from the position your applied for. I originally started as a phlebotomist and as they started reaching and just taking all and any contracts, I began to do procedures outside of my license/practice. From Diabetic Retina scans for Diabetic Retinopathy, clearly a procedure for Optometrists, Fluoride treatment that should be treated by Dental Hygienist and which also needed to be done in a clinical setting, not in-home. Also social work questionnaires, questioning patients that specific professionals to inquire. These additional assignments put a lot of stress that shouldn’t be taken due to being outside of scope of practice.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Communication frequently but sometimes overly.  It the support is immediate. Courdial, camaraderie  for the most part.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s used to be very easy going but as time went and the more they tacked on, as far as duties or daily objective, became extremely hectic most days. Look forward to the weekends (off days) but dread when the next week comes.

I’ve had a really positive experience working at Sprinter Health and absolutely love it here. The company truly values their employees as well as patient experience and cross-functional collaboration, and that shows in the day-to-day work. Teams work closely together, and there’s a shared focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement. They’re also big on work life balance and the culture of the company. I really appreciate how much they pour into their employees.

One of the things I appreciate most is the opportunity for growth. Management is supportive and encourages professional development, which has made a big difference in my career progression.

The work can be fast-paced at times, but the environment is team-oriented and people are always willing to help each other out. Communication across departments is strong, and there’s a genuine effort to align workflows so patients and field teams are set up for success.

Overall, it’s a mission-driven company with a collaborative culture and real opportunities to grow if you’re proactive and engaged! 

You have an auto dialer that makes outbound calls, average is about 120 calls per day. The calls are back to back, a lot of upset people wondering who your are, and why you call them so much and people thinking your a spam call. You have to book at min 17 a day. They have increased and will continue to increase the numbers. There is not a lot of fun activity’s in this role, one engaging game hour a month but other than that is just taking calls and booking. It’s mentally draining and hard to stay engaged with the role. High turn over rate and no room for growth, there is a lot of favoritism with employees that book and high numbers and bring in revenue. They make you feel great during training, but leave a lot of detailed instructions that you have to learn as you go. The training is not great, and you feel
Like a number here and not a person. 

This position is a sales position it’s all about convincing strangers to book a in home service ordered by there insurance company. Some people are nice majority are rude. This job requires a strong mental and ability to take 120+ phone calls per day to get people engaged and booked. Yes there is a metric of in home services you must convince people to book daily. If you don’t meet this KPI daily you will get coached and put on performance plan. Not sure why interviewers do not tell people this is sales they believe otherwise but everyone i tell about this job and duties tell me it’s definitely sales. 

This company only see's you as a number and if you're not a top performer you don't even get acknowledged. No room for growth and this is 100% a sales job with no commission and as much as they say it's not it is. So if you're looking for a sales healthcare job this is it except no bonuses or commission and you'll get rewarded free lunch here and there. Managers are flexible will work with you but evidently if you're not making them money they don't really care about you and let you go.  Work culture they want you to feel like everyone is included but it's super fake and doesn't come off genuine. The job within itself is taking 100plus calls a day with patients that have never even heard of this company and think it's a scam.

Sprinter promotes a family environment and cares for their employees. The pay and benefits are great.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There are busy times that are a bit stressful, but that subsides at different times of the year. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is a family environment that promotes teamwork.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My day consists of reviewing pertinent records and sending them to the correct parties, being available for my Sprinters (direct reports), providing assessment and education to patients when needed, and collaborating with the clinical and operations team.

Since starting with Sprinter Health, I have increased my appreciation for our healthcare system. Assisting patients to obtain the medical care they deserve in the comfort of their own home is a new concept to me. Sprinter Health delivers on that promise. They deliver for their employees, the promise of life work balance, supportive leadership, and a safe inclusive work environment. I am proud to be a member of the Sprinter Health team. I look forward to working with this innovative company, and I am excited about the future in healthcare with Sprinter Health in the lead!

As a patient engagement specialist you only get recognition if you outperform well over the required per day metric set by management.  For those that outperform and book 20 + sales per day the only reward they get is lunch provided by leadership :/. PES make the company so much money only to get minimal rewards. They are brainwashed to think this company values them by rewarding them with lunch meanwhile they are doing 200+ cold calls to people making the company tons of money. This is a sales job and it's all about you convincing people to book.

Company requires services above posted minimum standards to maintain a position as a PES. Being promoted means PES II. Limited opportunities to become a team lead. If you make it onto the charity department (Patient Navigation Specialist) management will promptly put you back into the call center as a PES because the turn-over is so high! Even if you decide to leave the company on good terms they wont acknowledge a request for returning.  The company does offer a good work-life balance.
