Since you work at a number of different places with different kinds of plants, there really is no typical day.
Sometimes  you are simply monitoring equipment.
Sometimes you are heavily involved with maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.
You  have the opportunity to learn a very great deal, because you work in so many different kinds of facilities  
It is up to you to apply yourself and to get as much out of each experience as possible.
The Sprung management is far and away the best that I have ever dealt with.
The kind of management that you deal with on each jobsite varies, of course.
The hardest part of the job is probably the problem of staying alert when you have 12 hour shifts with multiple hours of driving between them.
The best part of the job is that as an operator you are usually pretty independent.

I like working for Sprung because you can work a lot of shifts or just a few a week or none. If they ask you to do a shift and you can not do it they will find someone else. Management is very easy to work with when needing time off for anything. The jobs are fill in boiler shifts where you have to operate the boilers for a shift 4 to 12 hours. The training is given by an employee of the company your doing the shift for, probably the hardest part of the job learning the duties for that shift in short period of time. A good experienced operator should pick it up quickly. It is a great experience to work with a variety of equipment and people.

Working for sprung as a boiler technician is exciting and interesting, I work at a number of job sites each day.
I have traveled all over the state of Minnesota and I’ve been sent to work out of State too.
My wage has been competitive and when asked to work out of state the lodging has been provided in comfortable and reputable hotels.
Transportation and a vehicle is always provided at no cost to me.
I’ve learned a lot, and been able to grow professionally.
I like working with my Sprung coworkers and feel like I’m not in a dead end job.

I have worked for Sprung in various capacities for over 11 years.  I have always been treated with great respect. They have listened to my needs and accommodated me in anyway they can.  I have the great respect for this Company and would highly recommend them for anyone needing a placement or job in the Boiler or High pressure steam plant operation disciplines.

Very flexible working hours - you are in charge of which shifts you accept.
The pay is above average for this type of work. 
They company also specializes in training operators for the state boiler operator license exams.

The owners treat you very well, are very flexible with scheduleing and very accommodating. Pay is great, good for traveling. Hours can be a little rigorous since there is such a shortage of operators right now on all shifts. I have no complaints at all. Best company I'v worked for hands down.
