I worked at this company for longer than the average employee there. I got roped in with the decent starting pay, promise of bonuses and raises. The turn over rate is astounding though and speaks to how they treat the people they hire. They want you on the phone begging for money as soon as possible with little to no training. Some of these patients have legitimate questions and concerns that cannot be addressed properly by someone who doesn't know what they're looking at or where to find the answers. 
This job absolutely killed my mental health. Between constantly being yelled at by patients for calling them with bad/outdated balances or stuff that is beyond your control plus having supervisors/management micromanaging you like a child; the work days are long and painful. If you're empathetic and caring towards other people absolutely do not take this job. 
I worked really hard to get good at understanding the medical terminology, billing and client systems to efficiently help patients as well as my teammates. I was praised by my direct supervisors for my resourcefulness, helpfulness and follow through. I never received a raise though because I just could never collect enough money even though I contributed in tenfold to my team in many other ways. 
They say it's not a collections job but it most certainly is treated and graded as such. You will fail if you and your team does not bring in enough money to hit their goals. They use many cringe worthy tactics to try to persuade people to pay their bills. For example, you will be told to ask people when they are getting their tax return and how much they are getting to try to get a payment... People know if they want to pay their bills or not, there is no persuading them like a used car salesman. 
Employees call off in astounding numbers daily, there is a reason for that. Sure, some employees just suck but the job is emotionally draining so people just can't drag themselves to be there. Their "we're a family" rhetoric might have been true when I first started when they were much smaller but now the only "family" you're apart of is a dysfunctional one who thrives off control and abusive behaviors. The vice president is a bully and micromanages which trickles down through managers, supervisors then to the reps making everyone miserable. 
I met a lot of fantastic people working here. I've gained a lot of friendships but I suppose that could happen at any work place. The benefits are just ok. It was over $400 a paycheck to medically insure my family of 4, and that was still with a large deductible and out of pocket. 

Worst place to work. It's a constant high turnover rate of employees. They do not care about their employees. The point system is inhumane and they expect you to have perfect attendance. Don't waste your time here. You have to have 40 hours a week. If you request time off for a doctor's appointment you're expected to make up those hours if you have more than one doctor's appointment a week forget about it you're not going to be able to make that time up. And you'll end up getting pointed. They try to point you for just about anything and they add up very quickly. You're expected to work the day after holidays in order to get holiday pay even though other businesses Within the client/hospital you're working for are closed. Forget about trying to take a vacation within your first year PTO adds up very slowly and is usually applied to doctor's appointments. They will expect you to be there 40 hours a week if not you'll either be pointed or lose PTO time or both. It was a very stressful job. The job itself I enjoyed but the company really did destroy this job for me. Supervisors are lazy and they do not support employees. They will do everything they can not to take a supervisor call. They make it hard to file paperwork to try to help a patient by playing like they don't know anything and asking you to dig up all info even though they know where to find what they need.  At that point I was willing to do it myself because they are lazy and don't want to do anything. Everyone I was in training with left before 6 months of employment. I was mentally exhausted and relieved when I quit. I've had terrible jobs before and this one is one of the worst. 

I had various different jobs While working for State collection, As a Collector my job was to call debtors, Gathering information while  trying to get a better understanding of the persons situation, I would take that information and  determine what  would be the best arrangement for that person and the client, While always trying to exceed company goals and expectations
As a supervisor I wore several different hats, I helped with hiring and firing. I trained individuals as they grew into becoming  professional debt collectors, my job was to motivate, monitor and mentor. I would sit with them on a daily basis making sure they said what needed to be said in order to comply with company and client  standards.  I made myself available to them at all times.  Most important was  to make sure our clients needs were met. Monitoring calls to make sure we were treating people with the utmost integrity, We always tried to make working fun, we ran contests to motivate individuals,  it could be calls, or contacts, or highest dollars collected in a day. I loved my co-workers, looked forward to coming to work daily. The hardest part of a supervisors position was firing, I did not enjoy it, I liked most people I worked with and thought I could train any one, but unfortunately it didn't work out that way and we had to fire people.

Please try to avoid working here it’s MENTALLY draining. You literally get micromanage your WHOLE shift meaning you have to have camera on and facing you the whole time if your not in the camera they will call/message you, It’s fast paced so you continuously get inbounds calls and cannot take a little breather break in between (1-2 minutes) because multiple sups will message you on teams asking to get the next call as soon as you get off a call there was a time I had 5 supervisors in my messages (at the same time) DEMANDING me to grab a call while I was typing notes on the account that I JUST disconnected with. While they message you they will also tag you in a whole main chat telling you to take a call and will message you or even talk to you telling you to take a call on the app you use to take calls it feels like straight harassment and pressure. While messaging you multiple times on multiple ways you have to deal with 4 type of systems for two totally different hospitals so you have to deal with pulling up all 6 epic screens and ARTIVA while consistently getting messages from the sups. It was not like this when I first started at ALL I worked there for 2 years and almost lost my sanity.its not worth it trust me.

Do not apply here. There is absolutely no work life balance. The pay is decent and gets you by. There are incentives, bonuses, raises, however they make it hard to get. They have you on the phones begging for money and we can never offer patients real solutions to help with debt if they are struggling. Management is horrible, you are expected to have 80 calls by the end of the day but when reaching out for help on an account, you have to wait 15 minutes for an unhelpful reply, while the patient is on hold. Training doesnt teach you anything once you get on the floor. I have pages of notes and havent used them once. If you have a problem outside of work, they tell you “just try and stay focused and reach your goal.” I have never felt so mentally tired at a job before. There is absolutely no exceptions on calling out without pto. I’ve had family emergencies that I had to call out for and did not have pto, and I got written up. I would NOT recommend working here. Working in customer service is hard as is, you have people calling in screaming at you constantly as if that isnt bad enough, if you don’t have any “friends” that work here, you are certain to get treated like garbage. Do not work here unless it is a last resort option!!

They really try to sell themselves with the bonuses and raises. Read the very fine verbiage of what you sign because chances are you won't get your bonus or a raise. Most of the people who work there have been working there for a little under a year, which says something about the companies revolving door of employees. 
The team I work on is full of wonderful people, they all try their very best every day to do their jobs. The work load and expectations to meet an ever rising rising monthly goal are unreasonable. I see no room for growth within this company. What I do see is a company growing too fast for it's own good, low moral among the few veteran employees due to favoritism and no room for advancement.
If money really drives you and makes you competitive this may be the place you you. If you like helping people and have a soft heart you will not enjoy this job.

On Indeed they have jobs listed as Customer Service Reps not what you will be doing. You will be a Collector with a Goal each month and it is cut throat if you don't make your goal you will be given a written,  then termination.  They say they will give you training,  but they don't.  Long hours in a chair making calls all day getting yelled at by calls and management because they want there bonus .There are too many backstabbers,  poor management,  no raises if you don't make 95% 3 times in a row. And if your team don't make goal then you loose points. Broken promises, poor management,  favoritism,  they call it a Family if that is a Family then know wonder I don't go to the Family Reunion. I would rather serve 🍟  than ever work there. And if you apply and get hired and don't make it 3 months you owe them , so think about it real hard before applying there.

I worked there for almost 2 months in bad debt..I stuck it out as long as poss, new people are put on outbound calls a lot even after you have proven yourself. Management will put you on  Accts that no one answers but will call back. 2 weeks straight I was on outbounds dialing made hundreds of calls. The next day samething but I recently found out. People there are greedy they don't want to work accts but want the benefits from the trash..working them trash meaning us new people. We make tons of calls and get put on them again so we don't get any inbounds..where the money is. So when consumers call in on Thursdays and Fridays guess what..oops tjey are protected so we get nothing even though we trash..worked them for hrs and days. Supervisor I had was obviously behind on her teams goal so did us dirty so she could benefit.  I don't beleive all are like that but my supervisor was. I have seen 3 people leave since I started. Same supervisor.  If you want an easy job and aren't worried about extra money then have at it.

Recruiting told many half truths. I guess to get employees. I was told it was outbound calls only making collection calls and you would get commission from payments taken. Only to find out there are few who actually get that job. You take inbound calls and make outbound in between those. You also have to add insurance info if its missing, try to get payment arrangements set up, take payments, research claim, verify insurance, etc. Its only pays $15 starting and goes to $16 after 90 days. Its alot of work for little pay.  Im just over it. There are coaching moments for everything. If you miss work, they want you to make it up and it does prevent attendance points.
The pay isn't great even after you reach 90 days. They say there are opportunities for bonuses but its hard to meet those opportunities. You must be in current role 6 months before advancement. Its possible to work more than 1 client. Classroom trainers are great but you train by looking at slides or clicking through lessons because there's not much time to read through them.

This is a family owned business and they are doing a great job compared to most of other family owned businesses. I’ve never received a pay rate increase from this place, I’ve hit goals, achievements and reached or exceeded other company related expectation. Instead of giving pay rate increases, they would prefer to feed us; the food is awesome because they do provide a lot of food. However, most people would agree that they would prefer a steadily increasing pay rate especially having to deal with the American economic failures including inflation, housing value/costs, medical needs….etc. It is a family oriented environment, the meetings are productive and inclusive, management and other colleagues are always willing to help.
