I was excited about working there and thought I’d love working there. I quickly learned why the turnover rate is so high. No one wants to stay due to unfair treatment and lack of team moral. There are a handful of people who get treated well. Other people get treated as “the help” and put places the supervisor would never dare go. Management does not take your concerns seriously or into consideration. They only move/respond if a doctor calls or reaches out. I enjoyed my experienced there, but I would truly never recommend this company to anyone seeking an opportunity in healthcare. 

Working here and colored remember, you can only go so far unless your very close to upper management. Careful not to be "aggressive" in showing how you feel, even though you've expressed your concerns professionally. There is not an open door policy..confidentiality absolutely not. Management will call each other and talk about you. Some doctors can be very arrogant and rude...nurses also. Ive always get the feeling I'm less than here. So look elsewhere or have very tough skin. If you leave the company people of colored are often not allowed to work their 2 weeks notice. They make you leave and flush you out. Most management are not experienced in people/ coaching skills, they've just " moved up".  None of color nor in HR.  FEELS lonely in here. 

toxic work environment, unprofessional techs, management is ok, lack of training, very secretive place, please read the job description carefully because many job duties are not listed, beware of the techs that have been working there a while because they will try to take advantage of all new techs, last but not least there is no lab assistant so you will also play that role & I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to work here based upon my experience working here.

The supervisors are only nice to their “favorites” and treat everyone else like they’re stupid. The turn over rate there is insane and it makes sense why. They seem so nice when you first start, but this place is filled with drama and catty supervisors. You’re never done learning here. There’s no end to the constant changes in doctors’ schedules, and they act like it’s the end of the world and will severely reprimand you over minor scheduling mistakes, which are VERY easy to make. The nurses will call and cuss out front desk and call center over scheduling mistakes. Not worth the drama or HEARTache. 

Didn't train anyone to use their systems and even manager didn't know how. Would tell you to take your full lunch but have no one to relieve you. Forced to work open to close if someone took vacation. Never could find the money to give overworked employees a raise, but the doctors and CEO always got their bonuses. Management didn't have any real power so tried to just be people's friends. Suddenly could find the money to give you a raise only when you told them you were quitting.

The call center is TERRIBLE. The people are mostly great, but management kept pushing more work on us that other departments should be doing. And select people who werw "favorites" got away with slacking off and not doing their work.  Management always questioned about PTO and I had to fight to even get days off for doctor's appointments. Meanwhile the "favorites" could get off work easily when they needed too. They don't value hard work over nepotism. 

The staff is very unhappy and catty. Clerical staff is generally looked down on and mistreated while clinical staff feel entitled to walk all over them. This job does not compensate employees who have worked there a long time very well. Employees who have worked there 20+ years are making the same or less than new hires, which I find inhumane. The environment is very negative and depressing. I would get done with my work by 10am and have nothing to do all day.

The highlight of this job is definitely working with the patients and getting to make their day better. I’m also learning new things everyday- anywhere from software, medical terminology, as well as cardiovascular conditions. I love making the reminder calls because majority of the patients are so exited and looking forward to their visit

The people running the company they don’t value their African American employees.

Stressful and the environment is very busy.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Answering over a 100 and something calls.

Fast paced environment which is good but not enough employees for the work load. Admin not appreciative of the staff and sometimes they don't handle situations in a professional and private manner. Raises could be better, but it may be based on who you know instead of work performance. One of the best things is being off on weekends and holidays (except Martin Luther King and Good Friday), which makes no sense at all.
