A typical day at work consists of taking calls nonstop. They do expect you to take call after call and although after-call work is extremely necessary if you want to be thorough, they penalize you for it. I was told several times it should never take more than 2 minutes to write an email and notate accounts by people who don't even talk to a single customer all day. Management does not prioritize the customer experience, they only care about profits and optics. The customer policies are scammy and you will feel like a fraud when you try to defend them to customers--as their complaints are usually 100% valid.  The workplace culture is very obviously fake, but they at least are pleasant to your face. They will hit you with a random disciplinary write-up that seemed to come out of nowhere because at every meeting you were smiled at and encouraged with zero clear direction or specific feedback. The meetings were always pointless as it's obvious they don't know their employees or how they work. As a non manager I feel like I knew more about the impact and talent of my co-workers than any of my leaders did. And I've never met a single person at this company. They are all very "no excuses" which is incredibly odd seeing as they tout "remote job/flexible schedule" post pandemic. There were several moms or chronically ill employees who were granted no mercy with the attendance policy. The hypocrisy was laughable. Bottom line is: For the amount of calls they expect you to handle and how much you're forced to memorize and execute perfectly every single time or your job is at stake, it's not worth minimal pay. 

The overall job at the call center was great. I enjoyed working from home, connecting with new people even if it was on Teams, and connecting with the customers. Some of the management team, however, made life difficult. I had worked there for 5 years, and at the beginning of 2025 the new employees they hired were getting paid 10% more than I was, even after two promotions. I brought it up with the management team, and they basically said too bad. They seemed to do nothing to make it right. I also learned that one of the managers would basically abandon an employee that might need a bit more personal training or assistance in their performance, and just wait until she could do something to fire them. She would also talk about employees badly to other supervisors, and even to me when we had one on one meetings or meetings about how training was going. I was made aware of some things she even said about me. I can only imagine what she said about others. There were other managers that were more supportive, but the one just seemed to poison the bunch. I can only hope that the system has improved since they closed the call center, but that's probably a pipe dream.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The learning material is easy to encompass. However, they keep changing the written policy to rob the customer. That I hate as a Christian. I have to find another job.  They find reasons not to give the customer their money back a s promised in their Terms and Conditions.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having customers get angry with you as though you are the person stealing their money. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You do have the opportunity to work from home

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constant calls from parents trying to change their children's class dates or asking for their money back for missed class dates. Even though we promise to give them make-up tokens we find reasons not to give them the very same make up tokens

The culture is pretty fun. They're pretty flexible as far as schedule goes, you can work remotely which is nice. The company as a whole is a fun concept that is actually valuable... but they do not come anywhere NEAR paying what their employees are worth. As I've found out more and more what my colleagues are paid, I'm astounded and deeply saddened. I thought our execs cared about us, but based on salaries and raises... they really couldn't care less. I took this job knowing I need at minimum 10K more/year than they offered, but I hoped I would get a decent 1 year raise and then expect annual raises and eventually get there... nope.

There have been numerous changes within the company recently, particularly in the operations department. Unfortunately, these changes have not been effectively implemented, resulting in increased pressure on General managers. As a consequence, many General managers are working up to 60 hours a week without receiving overtime compensation, which is unsustainable and negatively impacts morale and that why they are always hiring for a General Manager’s because they are leaving the company. 

A typical day would be mostly scheduling swim lessons, can get a bit overwhelming in the summer months due to high call volume. My supervisor was really nice and pro is they are mostly flexible with scheduling which I really liked. Coworkers were cool too and was willing to help out when they can. A definite con of working there was the pay was not great, management seem to to be a bit all over and the changing of policies which led to a lot of angry and difficult customers.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The ability to work from home. Support staff was always available to assist if/when needed.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Encountered a few "entitled" customers. And upper management seemingly fed into their childish and unprofessional behavior.

I've only been here for a few months so I do not have a true opinion.  They care greatly about their employees and provide plenty of training and support.  If I enjoyed being on the phone more I would consider working here full time, it is just not the right setting for me personally.

Nothing really no stress as service offered was needed.

Policies guaranteed to make customers upset. No room for mistakes. If you mess up even once, you will receive an email the next day letting you know. Extreme micromanagement and metrics tracking. Stressful, back to back calls
