as a care coordinator you are basically the go to every thing. you handle calls, resources, and keep track of patients progress/needs and forward  them to the correct clinician if needed. there’s “flexible” PTO technically meaning unlimited as long as you’re productivity is high and someone on your team covers for you. the benefits are also great and you can negotiate pay rate. besides the fact that we are a contribution to CKD patients progress and journey, those are legit the only thing good about the job. this place still considers themselves a startup (4 yrs old) and boy will they show you how fresh they really are… from the time i was hired to now, i’ve had my management change 3x, the training during orientation doesn’t matter because it’ll all change over time anyway, and the while there may be room for you to grow within the company, you’re not going to want to start a career in a place that is so poorly structured and designed. it’s the closest thing to healthcare telemarketing i have ever experienced. the way that they outreach to people is insane and you can’t convince me otherwise. it is completely draining with constant changes and having to maintain a high productivity while learning that the way you may have been doing things isn’t even correct or will last as a workflow process so it will affect your productivity. it is extremely stressful to be the “go to”. i don’t care how much they pay me, i do not want to wake up and be drained. i don’t want to search for people contact info using unnecessary and invasive methods. i don’t want to feel like i am forcing people to participate in something they don’t want be in. the job was not describe this way during the interview but that’s basically what you are. a telemarketer/medical assistant (unable to provide clinical help/advice but must make a decision on whether you “feel” a patient should be monitored with you or a clinician based on their risk level ??)  overall, this is a 4/10 company for me. if they had structure, a simple workflow process (because i’m sure they have the money to invest in it just giving employees more to do cause they can), and brains that actually think of their employees this company might be worth it. even the benefits and pay can’t keep me here. i refuse. 

Pros:

Cons:
Advancement opportunities are limited and appear selective, with little transparency
Management does not consistently support individual career goals or provide feedback on growth limitations
Frequent changes in workflows and priorities without clear communication or accountability from leadership
Despite being a renal care company, there is often more focus on non-renal conditions
Overall: Strive Health is a solid company for those who value remote work and want to be part of a growing organization. However, employees seeking career advancement may find it challenging due to a lack of support and transparency from management. The company is still evolving, and with that comes frequent changes that are not always well-managed. It’s a good fit if you’re looking for stability in a remote role, but not ideal if professional growth is a top priority.

Strive Health initially seemed like a positive workplace, which convinced me to accept the job despite a lower salary compared to other offers. I felt a good vibe during the interview process, but I quickly realized there were significant issues with the work methodology. Flawed processes and results were fast-tracked and approved without proper scrutiny, reflecting a culture more focused on metrics than on credible outcomes. Despite my efforts to offer guidance and improve practices, my concerns were ignored. The focus on superficial success over genuine solutions was disheartening. Many at Strive Health, including myself, want to do the right thing, but the lack of autonomy and leadership's emphasis on artificial metrics undermine real progress.

Pros
Really smart people are here. It feels good to know that you are generally working with people who are smart and qualified for their roles.  Great Denver office culture. The office is super nice in a great location downtown and they are making investments in continuing to improve the office experience.  Down to earth executive team. The executive team interact with team members at all levels and are not 'overly professionally and stiff'.  Values are exhibited throughout the organization.  Good work/life balance if you manage your time well.  Lots of opportunities for growth because things change frequently and new opportunities arise. flexible vacation time for salaried team members.
Cons
Things change frequently which can be stressful for team members.  Strategy and business models also change frequently, feels like more time can be spent making original plan to ensure it is one that can stick. Opportunity for stronger accountability for results across the org, some low/poor performers stick around too long.  Parental leave is only 12 weeks.

Strive Health has excellent local and mid-level management that truly values their nurses, but the overall structure feels overly metrics-driven and top-down. It could be an outstanding place to work if executive leadership prioritized quality over productivity, invested more in hands-on training, and aligned performance metrics with patient-centered outcomes.

This company was exactly what I was looking for when it came to a job, career, culture and more. The only bad thing I have to say is about MY LEADERSHIP specifically.  They did not take the time to listen to our complaints about the working environments (we worked remote throughout the state of Florida in Conviva locations near us). When it all came to a head, our contract was not renewed due to things that we had previously complained to leadership about. We went to HR on them, but because they had friends in HR, nothing happened. She only left the company when the rest of the team left due to the reasons above. The company itself and their values were the best, and they were/still are making strides to keep their employees.

I was hired at Strive a little over 4 years ago. I do work daily that impacts people's lives and feel my work is important. My professional development is prioritized and I've been able to grow in my role since my manager cares about me as a person and as a professional, and supports my life outside of work. I'm looking forward to reaching my 5 year anniversary and taking a 4 week paid sabbatical leave. 

Strive could have a better 401k match, it is below what I would consider competitive. 

I'm so grateful to be working at Strive. From the moment I joined, I've been impressed by the positive and supportive culture. My colleagues are incredibly friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand, create a collaborative and welcoming environment.

One of the things I appreciate the most is the autonomy I have in my role. I'm trusted to manage my own projects and make decisions. I'm lucky to be a part of the team.

Strive is a company with a good heart. While some changes are being made to support scaling, the work-life balance remains well-maintained, and expectations are realistic. These changes are positive and are driving progress toward important goals and initiatives, keeping the team motivated and the company in good financial health. The team is hardworking and deeply committed to serving patients and upholding the company’s mission. I’ve worked cross-functionally with supportive and caring colleagues who are genuinely dedicated to their work.
