What is the best part of working at the company?
Carolina Dunes demonstrates a highly structured, clinically grounded, and professionally executed hiring process that reflects organizational integrity and operational excellence. 

As a Behavioral Health Associate (BHA), I found each phase of the recruitment and onboarding experience to be systematic, transparent, and educational in nature.

From the initial point of contact through the final onboarding procedures, communication was clear, timely, and aligned with best practices in professional recruitment standards.

The interview process was comprehensive yet supportive, allowing for an accurate assessment of clinical competencies, ethical alignment, and patient-centered care philosophy. 

Expectations regarding scope of practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and compliance standards were articulated with precision and clarity.

The onboarding framework was equally thorough, emphasizing regulatory adherence, clinical documentation protocols, safety procedures, and evidence-based practice integration. 

At no point did the process feel ambiguous or disorganized; rather, it was executed with professionalism and respect for both the candidate and the clinical mission of the organization.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Sometimes it’s difficult to leave work at work. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Diverse, welcoming, and helpful.

Company does NOT care about its people, ZERO trust, ZERO team atmosphere, and everyone is out for themselves. Some local facilities have decent people, however upper management only cares about how much money they can make. They look at people needing help as dollar signs and nothing more. When it comes to reimbursements for travel the turn around time is 3-4 weeks if you’re lucky. Company does not pay out BD reps bonuses, however upper management gets paid on time every time. Management dictates that you get a personal credit card for business expenses, yet refuses to pay business reimbursement in a timely manner resulting in you having to pay interest and travel expenses out of your own pocket. Company is advertising a program for veterans yet 90% of the facilities don’t have a veteran program as advertised. Veterans in need are looked at as a way for management to cash in, with little to no regard as to the care the veteran is receiving. If you are soulless and driven by pure greed this is the company for you. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Just having a job but there is nothing else positive about this place except for helping the clients that are there truly to get clean 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful thing about working here is there is absolutely no communication when it comes to needing help from leadership or from the current head of human resources I've been here almost 3 years and the current HR person is the worse I have ever dealt with there is definitely a major need for replacement the need for a HR representative that is compassionate understanding and has empathy which the current person in this role has none of. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
EXTREMELY VERY TOXIC PLACE TO WORK WITH ABSOLUTELY NO STRUCTURE OR COMMUNICATION 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very stressful lack of time management . Never enough time to effectively help the clients I have assigned to my work load

Typical Day: Day goes by pretty fast always busy and learning new tasks. 
What have learned: We had some changes, and I was tasked with things I had never done before; it was very challenging but enjoyed the chance to learn more about the management role. 
Management: My manager is amazing, and I can't wait to learn more from her. She is very supportive and encouraging.
Workplace culture: currently remote, some coworkers are on site.
hardest part of job: when you have to call a family member and hear the story of their loved one being with us. 
Enjoyable part of day: knowing we are helping people

Working with clients is the best thing. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Knowing that the company cares more about the all mighty dollar than the clients is almost as stressful as knowing the company doesn’t care about employees at all.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful but irk environment. Culture has a decent blend, but ONLY because they favor “inner-city” clients 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
6-4 interaction with clients and searching for support from supervising staff

I love working with Summit BHC. I am a corporate employee, and love what I do because of the opportunity for growth, positive culture, and the integrity of our leadership team. The people within this company are passionate about providing quality addiction treatment and mental health services. I feel that they strive to keep a positive, encouraging and growth-driven culture while growing in the right ways and for the right reasons. Work environment matters, and it is a joy to work with the team at Summit BHC.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing, really. Overworked and underpaid.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough human resources to do my job. Skeleton crewed every department; Openly not a company that gave raises for anything (at that time). I was promoted twice with no bump in compensation.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Zero culture. It was broken and can attribute that to the lack of personality of the CEO at the time



What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hours a day about 2-3 days of each week

A typical day at work is busy and different, which keeps things interesting and helps me continue building new skills. Management gives me the space to take ownership of my work and provides clear feedback when needed. There’s an open-door policy, and leadership is approachable and supportive. The best part of the job is seeing the results of what I create, whether it’s helping a team meet a goal, hearing positive feedback, or knowing I made a difference. It’s rewarding to work somewhere that encourages creativity and values the work being done.

A typical day at Summit Behavioral Healthcare is structured, purposeful, and centered around patient care. The pace can shift quickly some moments are calm and predictable, while others require rapid problem‑solving, teamwork, and emotional steadiness. Each day involves direct interaction with patients, collaboration with multidisciplinary staff, documentation, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.

Why work for a company that could care less about their employees?  It's a great place to work until they see one thing that they don't like.  Once they see that you have a flaw, they will do whatever necessary to get rid of you.  Don't admit that you have a disability or even think about reasonable accommodations ever because they will get rid of you.  They are not empathetic, it's all about the bottom line and co-workers will stab you in the back if they believe that it will benefit them.  The politics and culture are terrible.
