I love my job, patients and co-workers. Everyday was a new experience and you just didn't know what to expect. My job taught me to be observant of my patients and to listen even when they weren't speaking. A typical day was rooming patients, vitals, injections, administering medications, answering phone calls, autoclaving instruments, ear lavages, assisted with procedures, immunizations, phlebotomy on adults and children, urinalysis testing, drug testing, preparing blood samples for courier pickup. Entering electronic information on patients. Called patients with lab results, called rx's into pharmacy. I never liked the end of the day since I knew it was time to leave. We all worked very hard but we didn't mind. We had great team work and celebrated the team work by having a specific potluck every month. Gossip was nipped in the bud right way and most everyone new that it would not be tolerated. I enjoyed learning new procedures and applying those new skills. Overtime was never an option as I loved spending time at the office, so going home was the hard part for me. I really enjoyed getting to know my patients and working with my doctor. Management wasn't the greatest, they expected much more than we could deliver. In my opinion we worked harder and not smarter due to the guidlines that management implemented. Many procedures were completed several times due to the computer applications we were allowed. I feel quite sad to say that we were non-efficient because of our management.

I took this job because it was a perfect match. In the city I needed and they agreed to work with me on my schedule, due to my Nursing classes. When I began the job I absolutely loved it. Now that's then end of the good review. I was scheduled off on Fridays. That means I don't work Fridays, correct? September 4th, a Friday, I was on a plane at 6:30am heading to Indiana. I did not return until September 7th, a holiday. I come back to work and see a few patients before I am pulled into the back room, and find out I was written up for things that happened on the 4th. After that, I was told by many in the office to find a new job because they have done this to everyone, and not to get stuck there. I tried to call HR, they never answered. But I sucked it up and continued working, hoping things would change. My schedule was changed and I began working Friday mornings, leaving at 11:30. That Friday after being written up another situation happened. I returned to work Monday morning, to find urines left on the counter. I immediately took a picture and grabbed the woman who hired me, who also wrote me up the first time, and showed her the urines. I told her that I did not leave them out just like the last ones, and she said she would talk to the other girls. I talked to my family and we agreed that the best course of action was for me to leave and focus on my school work. I put in my two weeks on September 15th and was fired on the 18th with more ridiculous reasons. Take my advice, even if it takes longer, find a better job.

They make you feel like work is life and nothing else matters outside of them.

Job security and advancement
Well the manager and clinical managers like to talk behind everyone’s back and randomly fire people so you never know if your next.

Management
GARBAGE. Horrible unprofessional woman running the clinic. So rude and do not care about their employees.

Culture
Loved the clinical staff of girls I worked with, some of the providers were really kind. But majority of the providers never said a word to me.

Overall
Other employees will access your medical chart with zero consequences, all the employees will constantly talk behind your back and management will also join in, management only favors casa grande and doesn’t care about chandler staff so they were treated like they didn’t matter. So happy when I walked away from that company.

This job was one of the most stressful jobs I've ever had. Super fast paced, no clear direction. Duties are constantly being updated or changed as to how to do certain tasks with the supposed idea that they're improvements but they lack structure and don't provide adequate training outside of the work environment. Everything is rushed with the primary goal of doing more in less time. Equipment frequently did not work properly, slowing down the process and making things harder to do than necessary. The environment was seemingly friendly but tensions were high with an overwhelming feeling of being on your own even though they touted otherwise. Speed was praised over true quality of care. I often felt like I was being set up to fail especially by my lead coworker who seemed to enjoy writing me up for no other reason other than being too slow for her taste. 

Providing quality healthcare to the community is the driving mantra. Health services are notable but there is a "disposable" attitude from leadership, regarding healthcare workers and the supporting staff. There is no true culture for valuing the employee.
Leadership is self serving but also mid managers are scared about top down retaliation and work under unrealistic expectations. The patient workload is excessive and yet it is expected that you take on other projects to compensate for leadership incompetency. 
There are handfuls of great people trying to compensate for the inexperience of the C Suite leadership.
New CEO is inept, new C Suite leadership is green and unable to challenge the CEO to do better. The board members are blind to these facts.

Workflow not bad, management is greedy and all part of a good ole boys system. Promotions are not determined by merit or hard work. Upper management loves to play games with associates and create obstacles just to watch associates struggle. Company is becoming more and more greed driven rather than patient driven. Effective forward facing associates  are driven out when they are not yes-men or part of the managers clique, very high-school type environment, and it’s no mystery, they know it. They highlight and try to teach a type of culture they do not actually provide or model to their associates. Hard working individuals are micro managed and lazy individuals at the top are awarded honors they never earned, maybe ones they even requested others to nominate them for just for show. Toxic environment.

Seeing the patients when they were done with treatment, how happy they were with the outcome

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When you couldn’t complete your task at the end of the day because you were too busy, answering phones, make an appointment rescheduling appointments , treatment planning, etc.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You see every type of patient they could be white or blue collar.white Mexican African American. And ages from 3 to 30 to 90.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A very fast paced, stressful to calm day a day anyone would expect to be if you worked anywhere if you’re a hard worker, you’re always have work and it’ll always be stressful and fast pace. No grass is greener on the other side.

There is always something to do here when it comes to the work flow of this clinic. If you like fast paced, this job is for you. I truly enjoy working here. All of my coworkers, the providers, and the patients are wonderful. Sun Life offered me a position when I needed it the most and I am forever great full. I have full support from management and staff. I have been furthering my education while working here and Sun Life has been extremely supportive. Not only does management listen to what I have to say, what is considered the “higher ups” do as well. Thank you Sun Life for making me feel heard. 

This was one of the most unprofessional workplaces I have experienced. Management is a tight “we go way back and hang out on weekends clique”, so there is no one to turn to when an issue arrives. Communication was disorganized, favoritism was common, and scheduling was unfair and inconsistent. Many days you will show up for work and be forced to commute to Coolidge, Eloy, Chandler, Casa Grande, etc to cover other clinics. The environment was stressful, toxic, and ultimately unsustainable for anyone who values professionalism or patient care.

A typical day was to work in the lab and process all CLIA testing and blood draws and specimens for pick up.  I had never solely ran a lab, so there was much to learn.  Our office manager was very nice, and everyone there worked as hard and as best as they could.  The hardest part of the job was to handle the patient load.  It's this way across the board though in healthcare.  The most enjoyable part of the job was my patients.  I enjoyed getting to know them and talking with them when they came in.
