The work itself: counseling clients through their recovery and watching them succeed and make tremendous strides in their lives is amazing! It's also nice that you get out of work by 1:30 each day. 

Unfortunately, this is a company that does not believe in investing in its employees beyond the generous health insurance benefits you receive. They operate from the standpoint that employees are dispensable and easily replaced. The only counselors who last more than a year are interns who only stay because they need their hours. 

If you are considering working here, do yourself a favor by asking direct questions about job security, your clinic's turnover rate, and performance reviews in your interview. Texas Treatment has quite a reputation for suddenly terminating employees without warning or explanation. It happened to me, along with four other people from my clinic and six others throughout clinics in Texas and Oklahoma. They're not big on communication or working with their employees. If they don't like something you do, they just fire you. Please do not rely on this job as a sole source of income. 

The cut-throat environment and lack of management support zap the energy right out of the place and distracts from what truly is meaningful and rewarding work. This place almost killed my spirit before I was let go.

Let me start this first off by saying the company is not bad to work for by any means. There are a million pros for the position I held.

The amount of patients to dispense is very low (100-120 daily) and with two nurses CONSTANTLY it gets very boring. It would be beneficial to have the program director work at busy periods and honestly just have one nurse. I spent to much time staring at the clock from 8am till 12pm.

For counselors well they have a ton of work that is not equally split amongst. The counselors though have very good attitudes and you can tell love the patients they work with. 

I have learned the importance of time management and accountability. I have learned working as a team can really reduce your stress level and time  this also lessens the load. I enjoy this position my co-workers are very hard working and career focused.  My co-workers really care about you and work great as a team we are like a little work family, every month a pot luck for birthdays and baby showers, etc.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Enjoyed working with the other staff and patients there!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Small raises when due; 5 cents an hour each time!!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Addiction services. I worked at each of their North Texas clinics and loved it!!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy but short. Work 5 am to 1 pm most days!

Absolutely loved working with the clients

The program director’s behavior

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very unprofessional. The PD talked behind everyone’s back.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unable to take lunch break most days. Some days was unable to sit during dispensing times.

Just all-around bad once the new "ED" was brought in. No one should have to come to work and be worried if they are going to lose their job so that the new "management" can bring in her "own" people.

This place is a laugh as far as management  is concerned. They discriminate against older workers. They will hire you but if co-workers talk about your age and disability over and over again, nothing will be done. Then if you decide you've had enough and file a claim. Instead of finding a solution they will fire you.

I started my LCDC Internship at TTS. While actively working at TTS,  
the job was great.  Management was awesome and easy to talk to.  I completed my hours and started my degree plan.  I was offered a position at a sister clinic and took it.  I was terminated while I on bereavement leave.  THAT really hurt.

Under staffed and under paid. Never could keep a second nurse, so if you need time off it’s hard to find coverage. You do not get a lunch break  due to only having one nurse since there is no one to cover the pharmacy. They do NOT give yearly raises!! 

I worked as a LCDCI at the Hemphill location. Here I was the case manager and saw about 50 people per month. The pay is very low, although work load is at a very manageable rate. The management is what needs improvement in my opinion. Very unprofessional atmosphere.
