I have never had a more negative internship experience than at TT Electronics. If you are a student trying to fulfill an internship credit do not work here. They did not respond to my university's countless emails to get my internship approved and I had to remind my supervisor numerous times to email them back. They offered no resources to me besides a desk and a computer to work with. In the interview, they said they were going to help develop my skills and that could not be more wrong. My supervisor was gone for 2 weeks after I was hired and I was left to figure out everything on my own. When my supervisor did come back she had me do basic tasks that were not in the job description such as sorting t-shirts to send to different company locations. If you have a commute longer than 40 minutes do not work for them, I was late by 5 minutes a few times when I was commuting over an hour away and I was constantly scolded for being 5 minutes late. Regardless, the worst part was that I sat down with my supervisor to go over all my ideas for social media content and after one week of sharing that information I was fired for being "unreliable" Seemed fishy to me that I was doing a "great job" and after I shared all of my ideas for social media content I was fired. Company culture is terrible, no one talks to each other. Seemed like the kind of place where everyone is unhappy and people are only there because they have no other options for jobs. Another downside that is in the middle of nowhere (AKA Perry, Ohio) Also, if you have a problem working next to a nuclear power plant then you are in luck! Lastly, if you are LGBTQ+ do NOT work here, not friendly at all towards our community. Many slurs were used in the workplace that made me feel very unsafe and not welcomed. Overall TT Electronics is a terrible company in a backwoods part of town. Do yourself a favor and do NOT apply to any position at their company.

My day started at 6am (sometimes 5am) and typically ended at 2:30pm. When you start work for the day in the Functional Test department the Team Leader would have an assignment for each team member in their department and depending on the board you were working on you would require the use of shared laptops within the department to access on-line work instructions and the work instructions would detail hourly goals, and other important information related to that particular board.

I’ve learned a lot about different assemblies, soldering, IPC electronics manufacturing standards, even a little about Microsoft Office, internal software and other software used by their contracted companies.

TT acquired all new management in the last year and a half. I would say the new management leaves a lot to be desired. Subsequently, quite a few people have left in the last year. Last year corporate decided to micro-manage and lay off a lot of good people with ten or more years of tenure, which left a lot of  the current employees with a sour taste in their mouth. Immediately following, maintenance fell to the way side and just seemed that daily operations also suffered.

The culture at TT was really fun, until things changed and people’s attitudes about working at TT Electronics also changed. I think management is trying to improve the outlook, but it still looks pretty grim. I really enjoy working with my immediate team members, they were fun to be around, and we all got along. Seeing my friends made coming to work so great! I will miss working with them.

They hardest part of the job was keeping up with their hourly goals and maintaining it.

The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to work independently and my coworkers were awesome!

I don’t know what department these other folks were in, but mine is awesome. 

My team lead is both structured and supportive. Always there to give guidance, give instruction, and even lend an ear from time to time. They tell us when we’re doing a great job and know the jobs that are our strong suits and what we like/dislike running and keep that always into consideration. 

My work is both simple yet challenging in its own way everyday. The pace fluctuates daily whether we’re rushing out a work order one day, and then the next day booking into cleaning because there isn’t anything to do. Sometimes it’s stressful, but I think it just keeps me on my toes. 
As for the management, they like the people who do their jobs. People don’t have the ability to take pride in what they do anymore and it causes them to slack off or be constantly out of their area wandering around and talking to their coworkers. If you actually do your job, shockingly enough, the management is great to work with and for. 

And, with the new way they’re doing the pay (based on skills learned rather than time with the company), if you actually do your job and actually want to learn things, you can get paid more. If you don’t get a raise or you’ve been there 5 years and are making as much as the someone who’s been there a year. Essentially, that’s your fault. They give you the opportunity to get a raise every quarter if you actually try. 

The only real negative part of this job is the drama. There’s so many people here that are apparently stuck in high school still and spread rumors about each other. Some departments are worse than others, but there’s some sort of drama in every one you go to. 

If you're searching for a happy healthy and positive work environment, read closely. However, if you're looking for a place that will break you down mentally, this company might just be perfect for you.
1.	Highest Turnover: With an unprecedented turnover rate, building lasting relationships is impossible.
2.	Inept Management: Management seems lost; some grapple with mental health issues, others are severe micro-managers.
3.	Restrictive Job Roles: You're not allowed to perform your job independently; you must adhere to every whim of your manager, who expects to be copied on every internal and external email. Meetings are scheduled for you daily, all actions to be done as per the manager's "guidelines."
4.	Toxic Coworkers: Some coworkers dedicate their full time to making your work life difficult, seemingly reveling in your failures.
5.	Toxic Culture: The work environment is extremely toxic and mentally draining.
6.	Worst Work Environment: If you wish to experience the worst of the worst, this is the place for you.
7.    Unequal Application of Policies: Company policies aren't applied equally. For identical positions, some employees are required to be 100% on-site, while others enjoy the privilege of being fully remote. The lack of consistency extends to attendance; some employees come and go as they please without any repercussions from management.

Proceed with caution!

Typical day at work: clean and air conditioning, mostly sit down repetitive work with 2 breaks and unpaid lunch.
Learned: ESD and parts training
Management: Newer management in office and on production floor. Most of them are friendly and helpful. But are not available usually in meeting or training class.
workplace culture: depends on who you ask. Some people are absolutely miserable other are like most of America and just there for a paycheck. However the ones that are unhappy voice it on a daily and it get annoying to hear day after day. just quit already. 
Hardest part of the job: multiple managers telling you what to do everyday, information changing, alot of unnecessary paperwork which surprised me as this is a electronic company.
Most enjoyable part: Most of the employees do make it fun and easy to work. You are allowed to have headphones that makes the day go by fast.
Worst part of the company: denied vacation time. 1 person allowed off in every department, why offer vacation if you can't take it around holidays when you want to, no proper training just thrown in to working on first day. Alot of rumors on the production floor. Understaffed, but see alot of people being walked around for new hires wonder why they don't get hired? too low of pay? Management decisions? 



Most members of management are wonderful. They go out of their way to help employees with their problems. Of course, there are a few bad apples too, but you get that at any job. The work is fun, but I don’t feel you get enough in depth training. Sometimes, you are left to figure things out on your own, which if you’ve never done this kind of work before, can be challenging. The work hours are good. The benefits great. The pay is a little low compared to other companies who do the same thing. There are lots of moral boosting incentives like free lunches from local restaurants and contests. It is a very clean place and climate controlled. Many jobs are great for older people and people with disabilities. A lot of the co workers are really nice, but it seems that many of them are under the assumption that they are still in high school. They act like this is a social party and popularity contest, even many of the older employees. Lots of drama too. If you mind your own business, and keep to yourself, this can be a great job.     

This was a really great company when I started many years ago. I had a strong sense of belonging and felt great about coming to work. Through a series of events  several Sr. Managers either retired or quit. You have heard these sad stories before. A new regime was brought in that has little to no experience in contract manufacturing. The ones that do have electronics manufacturing experience came from OEM environments and are completely out of their element in contract manufacturing.  Several very experienced veteran employees with 20 plus years experience left due to the confusion and poor interactive skills of management. Every time someone else quits they just give you more work to do with no increase in pay. The current business holding this company above water was secured by people who are gone or are planning to quit. Do thorough research before coming here.

Let’s just cut it this way. This is an absolutely awful place to work. The training is almost nonexistent as a customer service representative and you’re expected to know everything right away. Asking questions either gets you a snarky response or being told you should know this already. Coworkers talk behind your back and provide very little support. Management is mostly people who have no business being managers. You find out somebody big is leaving every week. Workplace culture is very toxic and you hear a lot of unprofessional conversations and swearing all the time. This place is a dumpster fire and the only reason it is doing well is because circuit boards are in high demand during this unprecedented time. Absolutely avoid working here if you can.

A typical day at work was pretty laid back and calm, even when a lot of work needed to be done. Rather than people getting anxious and rushing to get product out, everyone would help each other out to get things out in an efficient manner.

This job was my entry into the electronics field and it helped me learn a lot about everything from wire harnesses to SMT and even leadership rolls.

Management was always helpful and tried their best to help their employees grow and advance their career.

The overall workplace culture was very friendly and most of the coworkers were extremely helpful.

The hardest part of the job was simply learning the skills that I needed after first beginning the job. After some time and a lot of practice it became much easier.

The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that I was continuously learning new skills with the help of coworkers and management.

Work-life balance
Honestly, this company is a joke. Management is horrible and plays favorites. The work pretty much depends on all us grunts. The HR is a joke that literary pushes everything and anything under the rug. It’s a miserable place to work and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

Pay & benefits
The benefits are okay but it doesn’t make up for the awful pay.

Job security and advancement
They claim there’s room for advancement but there’s really not. They keep hiring people in even though the work load doesn’t make sense for it.

Management
The management is honestly a joke. They pick favorites and most are bitter because they’ve been there for too long.

Culture
Not a lot of diversity but there’s a very big age bracket.

Overall
You can make more money working at McDonald’s and doing easier work. It’s not worth your time or your energetic. If you can work any where else, do it. Don’t work here! Save yourself!
