TVS would be a great place to work if you don't have and/or don't desire any social activity outside of working. Be prepared to work almost every day (As of now, working 7 days a week and maybe having a single Sunday out of every month off) If you have a family at all, do not work here.
     In my department, upper management tends to push their work off onto you, and one of the following usually happens:
-They get all of the praise when the work is done on time and flawless, or,
- You get shamed for doing their work incorrectly/late
     I constantly hear the phrase, "This is why you make the big bucks." That would be nice to hear if you weren't one of, if not the lowest paid employees in the entire company. 
     With all of the long hours, employees are just flat out quitting, leaving the ones who do stay short-staffed. All while, the company is coming up with more management positions. There are currently 5 IT help desk employees to support every location in North America (2 tier 1s, 2 tier 2s, and a help desk manager) 

     Overall, look forward to long, hardworking hours, with upper management with allergies to common sense.

Team work ,Safety,Positvity attuide all in all I was very happy to work for this company and Ive told friends it a great place to work and yes Ive put in my application a couple of days ago cause i want to go back to working for TVS , People are so friendly and kind and went out of there way to help you when they saw you having a difficult time. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I didnt have many stressful night cause I worked in rework and our group of people we were family  .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sorry the work environment was great Im speechless I love everything people company its a great place to work

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Great and made the days or night goes it as to do with the group of people you with with . And teamwork and safety is very important.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people I work with, hands down! You can ask ANYONE on the dock or on the floor if your not sure about something or need help, and they're always willing to help.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing. A surprisingly good balance of laid back but structured. And a time to take it light and laugh with fellow coworkers, and a time to get things done.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Awesome! Diverse and easy going. Everyone seems to get along.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A feeling of accomplishment, and enjoyment of your work.

You could be the hardest worker there, but unless you get in with the management, you aren't going anywhere. The better you are in a position, the less likely you are to move advance. Very VERY poor management. Back-stabey, lack of knowledge, and very poor temperament. My advice: Hire the strong employees. Advance the employees that work hard wherever they are, the ones that constantly show improvement, and the ones that have GOOD attitudes. Most supervisors are in good shape, but all of your leads are either idiots or a holes - or BOTH.

I guess it's kind of hard to explain it's an okay place to work all you do is drive clearly you don't have to get off your forklift if you don't want to get off your forklift there are a lot of inexperienced drivers driving around through what I can only call chaos it's dangerous there is no accountability no leadership and no management but my job is fairly easy there are a lot of people that blatantly break the rules and there are supervisors that will walk right past them and not say a word

The customer in the Charlotte location is very difficult to work with. The culture is task-full without strategy. Everything is just in time so there is no time for training or leadership development. It is a very day to day culture with the customer being number one priority and the company employee 3rd. Everyone one including management will come in from outside with great ideas for employee relations work/life balance however all fall into the crunch time get the customer what they need culture they forget about the employee as well as thereselves.

TVS Wentzville Mo recently went union, however the company TVS management refuses to acknowledge the union presence.  TVS has its favorites, that can do no wrong.  The hiring and firing process is controlled by HR and can be and is abused daily for least infraction. They do not follow protocol.  Why should they ?? They answer to no one??  How many other companies are controlled in this manner??
It's a sad truth but the company will fail.  HR does not  have  a clue what goes on in the day to day operations out on the floor. But yet they terminate people if they don't like the way you tie your shoes.
Management is no better they too have their favorites.

You can advance into management quickly.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Union Employees have adopted a communist mindset. They will not go above and beyond instead create hostility and work purposely below standards. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hostile Union Marxist environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fighting to fill open positions on a daily basis due to excessive call offs. Union members have alot of points and PTO. They also have FMLA so call offs are excessive.

The local management and HR at TVS are fantastic. The overall North American leadership is pretty good. However, some new remote managers that work far away from the local office have little concept what actually happens on the floor or at the local level. This unfamiliarity and unwillingness to learn the local culture and customer requirements leads remote managers directing reports to do things contrary to the customer requests, contrary to the traditional roles, and contrary to business needs.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Operating a forklift is not a physical  job.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unpaid layoffs when General Motors (GM) is not working. Unemployment doesn't pay much at all.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Once you learn how to do your job the hardest part of working there is showing up. 
 Ocassional 6 day work weeks. Notified the day before of the manditory 6th day. 
Sometimes 7 days but not often.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not too difficult to get through.
