I was employed off-and-on by TDS automation to do a variety of tasks.
My typical day varied.  I ran the saw for a long time and accepted incoming metals, which I cut into blocks for further machining.  Later I ended up primarily working in assembly, and I helped build several machines.
I learned to work with various tools and developed an affinity for mechanical things.
My managers were great people.
The workplace culture was a machine shop filled with people who liked to work with machines.
The hardest part of the job was whenever I had to move extremely large heavy objects.
The most enjoyable part of the job was that I knew I was actually making something of value.

TDS has provided a very good environment to learn technical aspects to the industrial custom automation business.  Co-workers are willing to work together and share ideas in order to help each person learn and improve upon their skill-set.  TDS is an OEM for custom machinery so it can be very common for the work demand to fluctuate from slow to fast and relaxed to stressful.  However this also provides the opportunity to branch out and utilize resources that can be beneficial in obtaining knowledge at a greater pace.

TDS does work for many different sectors and this allows employees to work on projects that affect multiple fields from agriculture to medical.  The projects can be simple and straight-forward like basic weld fixtures or they can be complex and high-speed like electronics assembly automation.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the variety of the day to day activities. We each had our projects we were assigned and then given the freedom to complete them as we saw fit. We also covered for each others projects as needed to help meet completion goals

I would never waste my time at this place, your a number. They eat you up, lie to you an drop you on your face now prior communication even they lie to your face that they care. 

Privately owned company, with a top-down management schematic. No evidence of QMS system adherence, unless enforced. Zero upper management involvement.

Overall a great place to work, positive environment, willing to teach you the skills needed to complete the job. It is a great place to work and provides opportunity for growth.

Good place to work with coworkers, management not the best. Raises and compensation for your work is not very good. Very nice clean neat environment to work in.
