I worked in the office supporting multiple branches. After one of two buyers was let go, the workload shifted to one person covering three locations. This resulted in sustained overtime and a very high-volume environment with little adjustment in staffing or support.
Communication from management became inconsistent over time. Expectations, performance concerns, and procedural changes were not always communicated directly or in a timely manner. Several policies and performance issues were first introduced in written documentation after meetings where those topics had not been discussed, which created confusion about expectations and standards.
Training and role clarity were also challenges. New processes were introduced without structured instruction, while responsibilities were simultaneously reassigned. This made it difficult to understand what success in the role looked like or how performance was being evaluated.
Feedback tended to be reactive rather than progressive. Formal disciplinary documentation occurred without prior documented coaching or clear corrective steps. The shift from extended overtime and full responsibility to disciplinary action felt abrupt and lacked the step-by-step performance management process common in many organizations.
The team-level employees worked hard and supported operations under demanding conditions, but management communication, documentation consistency, and workload planning were significant issues during my time there.


I have been with Tech-24 for several years in many roles, from performing service, sales/business development and department management. I wish I had found them 20+ years ago ... 

  I have been in this industry since my teens, worked for many company's, from mom and pop to large corporations, owned and successfully operated a service company in another state before coming to Virginia and Tech-24. 

  This is simply the Best company in the industry to work for if you want grow in your career, enjoy your work and have a home life. This is a place where you are appreciated and well taken care of, not just a number. The management is of a servant leadership style, looking to help each person grow their skills and career potential. Tech-24 invests in their team by providing training at several in house training facilities. The education that you will receive here exceeds what many pay tens of thousands of dollars to get from other universities and tech schools, best of all...you get paid to attend! 

  No college degree or experience....no problem! Tech-24 hires personalities and people, not resumes. If you have the drive and are willing to put in the effort, Tech-24 will give you an opportunity to reach and potentially exceed your current career goals.

When I started at Tech24 there were 8 Billing Specialists at the corporate office, when I left there were only 3. When I first started I had plenty of work for the entire day. Before I left, I was constantly requesting more work  and assisting the other 2 billers that never received proper training. Almost all of the billing has been outsourced to the Philippines to people who were not properly trained and have a very high error rate in billing. Instead of management being honest with employees about lack of work due to it being outsourced, they would find a reason to terminate the employee. And the reasons for termination were issues the supervisor had even larger issues with than the employees. The supervisor was always 20 - 30 minutes late everyday and always took 1.5 to 2 hour lunch breaks. 
They should be honest and lay the employees off due to lack of work instead of terminating loyal employees, just so they do not have to possibly pay unemployment. 

Just like every other company in our industry, Tech-24 went through some growing pains. Under the new CEO and other new corporate leadership, it has become apparent that they are investing back into the company and their employees. Tech-24 is actively hiring technicians to help with the current work load, future work load, and to grown the individual markets. The benefits package and compensation have increased dramatically. New vehicles are on order. Yearly reviews have been implemented. Many other improvements are still in the works that will eventually be implemented. Tech-24 is without a doubt committed to improving the lives of their employees as well as giving their customers the best service possible. 

This is the most Mickey Mouse operation I have ever seen and been involved with. They screw over their employees as well as the customers they serve. I would Not recommend this Sorry Company to anyone to work at and sure wouldn't recommend them to do restaurant maintenance to any restaurants.Their service technicians get 'on the job training' learning how to service/repair the equipment they were sent out to repair. They take no Pride in the work they perform.
        If they don't get the equipment repaired professionally the first time, have no worries, they will charge you again to come back out and try to get it fixed the second time. But the trip charges will be charged again!!

I was hired a few months after my service in the Navy.  I started at Tech 24 as an Office Assistant.  After a few months, I requested to be trained to go out into the field and do service work. My request was granted and I was trained to be a Field Service Technician.  I was a Service Tech for 7 years and then promoted to Area Manger.  All of the managers at Tech 24 have been promoted from within.  Many of them have been with the company 10 plus years. Tech 24 started out as a job for me, but has turned into a career and a place from which I plan retire.

Management isn't very good here. I started here and went an entire week without any training. I was told that I was going to be trained many times and it never happened. I was given logins for the systems I needed to access but was never shown how to use them. The manager never attempted to train me. There is zero training documents, knowledgebase, or resources available to help new hires. The benefits are very expensive for what they offer. The pay is fair but on the lower end in my opinion considering the costs these days. 

typical work day was t run calls  in timely manner. i never stopped learning as every day was something different. management was kind and patient and the work culture was work at your pace but insure diagnoses was correcdt hardest part of the job was changes in prtocol as fsar as billing part ordering and the company software that they use . the most enjoyablke part of my job was the satisfaction of fixing what was givin to me and not get a call back  about the same issue

What is the best part of working at the company?
Pay and hours are the only decent part of this company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Politic, the company since getting new leadership is terrible. Management will throw the technician under the bus before asking questions. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Company culture can to summarize into toxic

No training, no respect, no professionalism.  The Lynbrook NY office is a hostile work environment with no personal space.  Desks are small, against a wall and it’s set up like a call center. There are cameras at every angle of the office where you will be watched all day. It’s a sink or swim place to work ….   YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
