Almost no work-life balance, a lot of the  physicians are hard to work with, many are asked to work through lunch because the physicians are greedy and management won’t do anything about it. Emails are sent to ask for lunch coverage and management doesn’t make sure you have lunch, there’s no opportunities for advancement within the company, very little managerial support, lots of gossip that is egged on by the office manager, no real bonuses, some employees are made to work hard while others get to be on their phones all day, communication is non-existent and you never know who is doing what job and who has started as a new employee, you get reprimanded as a whole for not doing something correctly while never being taught how to do it correctly in the first place, you have to email the supervisor at least 3 times about getting something you need before she will finally respond, they make you travel all over the county but then say they can’t afford roller bags to haul everything around, they will occasionally get lunch for the office but the same people have to work through lunch so they get the leftovers or nothing at all because people have packed up the pizza to take home.  Some MA’s are relied upon to fill in with the most demanding and rude physicians, while other MA’s can say “I can’t work with so and so physician” and their wishes are granted. So the same people are put in the most stressful situations day in and day out (without any bonuses or rewards) while others get to stay in their comfortable bubble every day. 


Nothing you do will ever be good enough; they only notice when you make a mistake. It's the TOA way. They like to do this thing where when a employee quits, they put that employee's responsibility on another person, instead of hiring someone to replace that employee; so it is not uncommon to have one employee doing the job of 3 people. You will be afraid to ask a question for fear of getting yelled at, and when you have no choice but to ask a question, you will be made to seem like an incompetent inconvenience. With all the administrative positions, Collections is a huge part of the job; with high goals to meet. Not all management is aggressive, but there are several of them who do focus on gossip & avoiding actually working themselves. There is always a lot of tension & competition. Basically, this job will make you age and dread getting up in the morning to go to work. The turnover rate here is very high. And raises? Ha! The people who do stick around do so only because they have to have a job. You will never move up from your position either; they can't keep people and are desperate to keep people in certain positions, so if you are lucky enough to fall in any of those positions...you're never going anywhere. This seems like a lot and maybe you want to still see it for yourself, that's fine, but you have been warned. If you do take a job here, "May the odds be ever in your favor."

This is a horrible place to work. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The management don't care anything about you or your career advancement especially at the CBO. There's no one to go to when you have an issue all the way up to the CEO. Don't even think about going to HR because all he does is take your complaint and laugh behind your back. He does not take anything the employees complain about seriously and does not hold any of the management accountable. The PTO sucks you only get 4.5 hours per pay period and get only 7 holidays (it's better plans out there trust me!). The building is out of date and they do not celebrate anything for the employees. They snatched away the bonuses without notification until 4-5 months later and that's just one way to show how bad they are about transparency. They treat the employees like they are below them. Go work at a different company where you are appreciated and they have no problem showing it. Not some cheap company who all they care about is the management and the doctors (who are owners of the company). Their pay is way below market and the only raise you can look forward to is a few cents. Most, if not all, of the good reviews were submitted internally to make themselves look better. Don't do it!!!

The job is not hard, the volume is. It’s nonstop, you’re constantly short staffed & overworked. Pay is not enough for the job whether you’re experienced or not. Training is fast & you’re thrown out to survive on your own. The team lead is extremely lazy & uses her title to get full advantage. Her attitude, work ethic, & way she talks to her team is CONSTANTLY overlooked & no one ever does a thing about it but fire the people that she complains on. When frustrated at your work performance, she will talk about it with her peers that she’s built personal outside of work relationships with & they collectively bring negative energy into the work environment. They behave extremely childish throughout the workday & no one seems to care. The pay is a joke to have to deal with this behavior on a daily. Be aware & stay away. I’ve never been in a work environment of this stature & never plan to again. Management & team lead will say “you can talk to me about anything” but when you voice your opinion it’s used against you. If you choose to work here just work & go home because your voice is not safe here. Also, the systems used are at least a decade behind making the workflow more difficult than it has to be for both patients & staff.

Overall, I would recommend working here, especially for those looking to gain experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Most of the providers are kind, supportive, and genuinely care about both patients and staff, which makes a big difference in the day-to-day environment.

The workload can be heavy at times, but it is manageable if you have strong time management skills. Most days include a 30-minute lunch, so being efficient with your time is important. Pay is fair for the role, but there is more opportunity for higher pay if you hold certifications such as CCMA or RMA/RT.

One area for improvement is management communication and consistency. There are times when expectations and accountability do not feel evenly applied across employees. At times, conflict resolution between staff could be handled more consistently. Additionally, like many workplaces, there can be some gossip and interpersonal tension, which can impact the overall environment more than it should.

Overall, this can be a good place to work and grow, especially if you stay focused and maintain professionalism. Just be aware of the workplace dynamics and expectations going in.

The Payment posting department is ran by a very controlling manager. They wont tell you all the facts at the interview but once you are in, you are required to work massive amounts of OT, are not allowed to ask for time off at end of month or first of month. There is blatant favortism. In addition, no matter how great you work, the manager is never satisfied and is always finding the one negative instead of the positives. You get to work from home but don't think that is a great thing. The impossible deadlines and demands makes it a very TOXIC work environment. The HR department allows all the negative to continue and is NEVER on the side of the employee no matter the complaint presented. They have had a huge turnover in this department and it just keeps on and on. They tell you there is flex time but it is manager discretion and this manager wants a 24-48 hour notice to work flex. It has the potential to be a great place if they would take heed and listen to the employees and get rid of these managers. 

TOA was ok when I was first hired, it all changed after a few months. The policy here is only followed by a few, others who don’t have to follow it are the favored. You are not wanted at TOA, you can’t go to the supervisor because she doesn’t care about your concerns, you are expected to figure things out and not go to her. She acts strict about clocking in and out on time or it’s a point but yet she will ask one of her favorite employees to stop and get her Starbucks and she will clock her in. This was a bad experience at TOA, I would not recommend this place for anyone looking for a good career. There’s no advancement, they do not care about you, they make you feel unwanted, they expect you to stay to yourself, and once you are there, they make you feel that you wouldn’t be able to find anything better. Anything is better then the supervisors and being at TOA. It’s terrible there and that’s putting it nicely.

A typical day at work involved interacting and helping therapists to make sure each patient's therapy visit was as beneficial and efficient as possible. Working with several knowledgeable therapists helped me to further my learning and to prepare me for pt school. Having these therapists as an aid, has helped me see these practices first hand, and to be able to ask them the reasoning behind it. The culture here was laid back which created a great environment to further my knowledge base. The hardest part of the job would probably be managing multitasking. The most enjoyable part of the job would be all the interesting people I had the opportunity to meet and get to work with. This job has been a great opportunity to further my transition into pt school, and to starting my career as a pt in the future.

Working here taught me that it’s about who you know and not your job performance. TOA is mostly concerned about productivity more so than quality of work. Which is why the logs are ALWAYS backed up. The training is horrible. Mgmt doesn’t  want to go in the office to train, instead it’s done remotely. IMO, it doesn’t give no type of push for new hires b/c they already at home. The end result of that is a high turnover rate. You can speak your concerns all day long and NOTHING will happen. Absolutely NO BONUSES! BUT THEY WILL BUILD A BRAND NEW FACILITY NEAR YOU!  Bottom line is that if you take up TOA offer, just know you will not be trained properly and your workload is through the roof and they will not pay you what you feel you deserve! They will feed you though :) . Good luck! 

I enjoyed my job for the most part. I really enjoyed helping the patients. I will say that this place shows favoritism, the don’t treat everyone the same, they are not loyal to their employees.  During the pandemic they lied to the staff, laid a lot of people off and on top of that, they let go of a lot of established employees and kept brand new employees. They also said that hiring was freeze, but that was a lie too. I would advise you to run from this place, there are too many “bosses” Management is a total joke. They also want you to do too much for such a small salary.  I understand that companies have to make a profit but, This facility is not customer driven, it’s MONEY DRIVEN.
