No, I am not a disgruntled former employee who was fired and now I'm angry.  Not at all.  To the contrary, I worked for this company for over 10 years when they were SOUTHLAKE back when the owner and administration really cared about the residents and the employees. I stayed as long as I could after the new owners came in 2014 and re-named it The Terrace of Jax.  They stripped all our benefits.  No salary raises since they arrived 5 years ago.  No encouragement from Administration, never a kind word for a job well done, the only contact from Administration is always negative.  SOUTHLAKE was truly all about the residents.  THE TERRACE OF JAX is truly all about the money, money, money.  Research the owner of this company and you will see for yourself.  GOOGLE is a wonderful tool. Knowledge is power.

12-14 residents per cna, nurses who do not care about the staff or residents safety/well being, favoritism amongst management/administration and certain employees, unable to/uncomfortable bringing up concerns directly to management or nurses if you aren't part of the circle, nurses speak disrespectfully to staff and expect respect in return, high turn over rates due to messy management and unprofessionalism - if you can come to work and ignore the mess because you just want a check, you will do fine. If you come to.work expecting to make a change and learn or grow in the Healthcare field, find another place.

I have enjoyed my time working here from day one. Everyone is willing to pitch in and help, it’s truly a team environment. The building is always clean, the residents are clean & well taken care of & there’s always some type of activity going on. This is the main reason that I chose to work here because I wanted to work for a company that provided patient centered & embraces teamwork which is what they do at this facility

This place really sucks I did about 5 months before i quit! The residents are spoiled and annoying!  The nurses ride your back all shift long! You will have to mandatorily chart 3 times a shift! Night shift has 5 to 6 residents to get up while day shift just comes in eat breakfast and  complain about what residents aren't up! They will write you up for anything and they don't appreciate your work! I wouldnt recommend this place! There are better nursing homes dont work here!

Years ago this place lived up to its  five star facility rating. Staff were happy and encouraged daily, now there is no appreciation given, only more tasks. The ones that have been in the trenches and care about the residents are run off by corporate money hungry kick back groupies of the owner(s)! My heart goes out to the residents there that are so under valued as human beings!

They treat you like family. And I love my patients.

Loving , happiness, respect . It’s just a great place to work

Fun, happy, eating. Team work

No help on floors as CNA’s ! Poor communication from management and staff.  Facility has mold and bad order smell coming from residents rooms! High turnover rate! Old CNA’s who’ve been working there are the WORST to train with. It’s all about who you know at this facility no one is treated the same. Sorry, lazy and not worth the risk of losing your license please be aware!!!

  Not recommended. Usually 1 cna for 12-14 residents, who need total care. It’s a physically impossible to give a full service for your every patient and to do your job right. 
I don’t think the management really care about the residents.

Overall great place, the Administrator is great. Promises to take over as Director were not followed through by Management . Wages due were withheld illegally and there were some other unethical and questionable acts when it came to payroll. records are not very well kept and not displayed or given to employees in writing.

Employee turn over is extremely high, nurses don’t help, work ratio is unrealistic, management is terrible Team Leaders/CNA don’t do anything but take hour long lunches! CNAS are basically not allowed to sit down! If you don’t negotiate your pay rate they will try and pay you as low as possible!
