Very much a keep quiet, don’t speak up and don’t complain at all environment or you will be targeted by management. They use company wide emails as official warnings and will use them against you for any write up as a second or final warning. Lots of “ok for some but not others” and a lot of gray area for policies.  Workload can be crazy busy and no scheduled breaks at all.  There are some good eggs there but the majority of people are very much out for themselves and will turn on you at any moment to benefit themselves. Pay is mediocre and insurance is covered for the employee but ridiculously expensive for any dependents.  Major leadership flaws and very little opportunity to advance. In theory the mission is great but in execution it’s very mismanaged . 

Not only is it a fun place to work, but you also get to hear and see the impact of our efforts and mission at every position. Promoting from within and recognizing success and grow is encouraged and supportive. Ideas are welcome and encouraged to continue to innovate in an ever changing field. Management is approachable and supportive.

It is a different type of work. You represent what saving lives is in the back ground, after death. 
Transplantation or organs to give life back is a precious thing.
there is so much learning in this job. every year I have learned more and more about my job and the processes of organ donation.There is so much room to grow. our leaders give you the education if not direct you to the people you need to learn from.

They are extremely professional and are the ideal employer. I wish promotions and raises were more based on merit rather than length of time at the company, but that is all I have to complain about. 

The work itself is challenging but meaningful and rewarding. That being said, the management and promotion processes in the company could use some work. Leadership is constantly making changes on the fly and is dismissive of valid concerns. 

I worked here for 2 years. Coaching and mentoring program is very ridiculous. They act as if their way is the right way. They blame you for their screw ups! From top to bottom they completely are horrible. They have their favorites. Their is no room for advancement. They hire friends and then turn out stabbing each other in the back. No one lasts. 

I did not work here.  It was a volunteer experience that I performed after receiving a kidney transplant.  As a volunteer I went to events such as health fairs and spoke to people about organ donation and tried to convince them to register for donation.

Jobs itself is easy as you are trained to do so it’s dealing with the constant changes in peers and leadership.  Lack of growth in department. The job itself hearing the lovely stories of donation is amazing but the day to day with lack of support of leadership and feedback is challenging. 

Can not go into legal details, but do not recommend this organization at all for many reasons.  I learned quite a bit being of a lower standard of practice starting the job which they knew, but many other negative and life impacting factors to my family came into play. Be warned in general. 

Texas Organ Sharing Alliance is my first workplace and I have a great time here. Work environment is stress free and my manager has guided me well during my internship, providing all the support she could. Coworkers are friendly and always there to help
