i did the phone interviews which took 2 weeks, everyone to busy or on vacation, finally obtained the interview with 5 different groups of people, the first enginering techs were demanding and insulting they had never conducted an interview and had no clue as to what they were looking for in a canidate, all 6 tech had different opinions as to the person and position they were interviewing fore, and when asked for information all they could do is to put the company and job down and complain about their jobs and incompetent management.the next group was the department head ,who was more interested in his computer than the interview.as he placed the computer between himself and i , very disrespectfully, and allowed many interruptions during the interview, as if i did not matter, then to the next group ,my managers, one that was to be fired and one gloting that he had been promoted and happy the other manager was going to be fired, what a shame, people have to get their enjoyment at others cost. now to the head of maintenance /operations, all he kept asking was why i wanted to work in this type of environment, and my background was not brewing so i knew nothing, i now had only to meet with the head of HR and the Plant manager, but as i was picked up by the HR person, i was told that these two folks had other commitments and to go home, asked to the next steps and she told me she would call to reset the interview with these two folks, NEVER HAPPENED- these folks are all about themselves, some scared of loosing their jobs and afraid of retaliation from management. In my opinion the problem is at the top and not just the local plant manager, but Corporate, they have lost sight of good manufacturing practices, teamwork,honesty,ethics,and a harmonious work environment

The Boston Beer Company was a pretty stellar job right out of college. Flying all over the place for training, awesome swag, BEER, a really fun workplace culture at first glance, and you get to work from home. 

Training really was wonderful. Samuel Adams is an American staple and you could really feel it everywhere in Boston. Sales and communication training is top notch as well. Great experience using analytical tools to develop routes, discover opportunities, and make sales. If you're new to a community it's a wonderful way to meet people and get to know the area.

Management seems to be the piece that can really make you love or hate the job. Additionally, if you're not in the boy's club in your territory, not only with your team but with your local distributor, it's going to be a rough time.

If you're able to buckle down and stay on track in a pretty loose and free work environment from your home, you love beer, and you're able to make Boston Beer your only life priority - then this job is for you. Some people love it - I just needed more structure and more team.

As a senior executive, I observed employees and managers who have a strong work ethic that mirrors the drive reflected by the leadership team.  Hard work is balanced with many opportunities to learn and engage with colleagues in fun activities.  Training is a key part of the culture lead by knowledgeable and inspiring coaches. No one is above anyone else and this includes the Chairman and CEO! The hardest part of the job is getting everything done as the category is very competitive and requires 100% effort from everyone.  The best part of the job is that you never stop learning and you get to have fun at the same time.

This place is a zoo. If you like working hard and rolling with the punches this might be a good job for you. On weekends expect to work at least 24 hours between Saturday’s and sundays. Requests off are usually not accepted. Management fails to organize and associates improvise to take on tasks that are sometimes not up to them/in their pay grade. Ambassadors are not paid enough and do not get tips for all of the hard work they do. In the extended time I worked there and tried to cooperate with management they continuously failed to educate me properly, as well as set me up with any way to view and receive compensation for all of my work there. I had to constantly remind management to make sure I got paid, and this happened with most new hires. Staff is fun and great people, but job culture has a larger emphasis on being fun which lacks luster when it comes to payday and organization.

Absolutely the best place I've ever worked at. It can definitely become a high-stress fast-paced environment, but that's nothing compared to the good money you make and the great people you are working with. We are one big family, with managers that actually understand you and care for you. My coworkers all get along and are great friends, there isn't a day where we aren't dying laughing at each other. We as a whole also go out to eat together from time to time or go bowling. The guests tip very well, and are mostly regulars so they are very kind. The schedule is also extremely flexible, and the managers will definitely work with you to find what days and shifts will fit your lifestyle. The only downside is that it can be slow from time to time, so there will be days you may not make as much, but the regular and busy days make up for it. Overall a really really pleasant​ experience. Love them.

It was an extreme pleasure working in the brew house.  The people were very friendly, management was fair and the work was fun and made the day just fly by.  Every day was something new from specialty cleaning specific equipment to hosing down floors.  Every brewer I worked with was very friendly and all were willing to stop and show me what they were doing.  This made it much easier to wrap my head around such a large facility.  The only really hard part of the job was the constant temp change.  Every floor was different, either over 100 degrees or below 30 degrees and they only thing separating them was a door sometimes. The most enjoyable aspect of the job was the ability to try everything, I can taste the hops and the malt.  I was allowed to form a palate to help me understand the beer and what went into it.

Managers are so chill and willing to work with you! Great company with great benefits!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This job definitely requires you to be social and flexible when it comes to hours, travel, etc. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not toxic whatsoever. Management is always willing to listen and super chill as long as you get your job done.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day for me is getting classes done during the day, coming home and putting together my work cart full of merch, load into car, table wherever I'm at that night, pack up and go home! Some days are longer than others, just depend on what kinds of accounts your area has to offer and how often they need you.

Responsible for receiving and stocking goods by safely unloading inbound shipments and moving product to storage locations.  Responsible for operating commercial forklift vehicle to locate. count, stack and move merchandise from staging and storage areas into rail cars or trailers.  Accountable for safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles. Was also required to perform “Order Filler” and “Checker” duties.  . “Order Picking” duties included pulling and preparing product for shipment, while ensuring product numbers and types were loaded and shipped to its correct destination. Performed operator/picking duties in an efficient manner that met customer service standards. Responsible for reporting quality variances.  Ensured inbound and outbound shipments were accurate and free of damage.

I love working at The Boston Beer company. They literally miss the mark on nothing. They have great training programs for every type of position. They actively promote from within and seek to do so. They are accepting and I have NEVER seen any sort of discrimination.
Everybody who works in this company stays around and all of my coworkers and myself are actively engaged every single day.  The reason is, is because all of my coworkers are genuinely great people, we are truly a team and a big family here. We have so many great benefits that can't be matched almost anywhere else.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Worked with a great team, the company was forever growing, we had a policy to be able to discuss the undiscussables. The task and work was the same, but everyday was different. There was longevity working there.

The most stressful part on the job was trucks not showing up to pick up product and delivering on time

The work environment was fast pace and the culture was diverse, versatile, and committed employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Task, duties, process the same but every day the experience was different. I never looked to see what time it was.
