To start off, the agency gives a good first impression, dozens of available facilities in your area, great pay etc. The only downside seemed to be biweekly pay, since most other nursing agencies pay weekly and some pay after each shift. When I first started, I worked minimum 3 doubles per week. When I’d get my paycheck, my pay for two weeks would be extremely short, like almost 2k or more in “taxes” and other fees would be taken out. I had to file exempt, to be able to pay my bills and at least see some of the money that I’ve been working for. Even after filing exempt my pay was still short. When I would call payroll, they pretty much said “I don’t know”, even though they suggested to file exempt. Other nurses I’ve worked with said they had the same issue with pay.
Aside from the pay issue, after about 2 months working for Bridgeway, they started cutting shifts and not allowing overtime. I had facilities that I developed a rapport with telling me they have shifts available for me to pick up but Bridgeway wouldn’t allow them to schedule clinicians for more than a certain amount of shifts (this was after working maybe 2 shifts in a week).
After cutting shifts and stopping overtime, they decreased the pay by $10 an hour in an attempt to get their clinicians to go on staff with the facilities. They also said they were shutting down.  
Also, if you want to get in contact with anyone from Bridgeway, good luck. You have to send an email for everything and hope they respond in a timely manner if at all, because all of the phone numbers are “temporarily down”. If there is a number you can call, there’s almost always a busy signal, with no option to leave a message.
I started working for another company. I was randomly called about 6-7 months later by a Bridgeway representative (after saying they were shutting down) to see if I wanted to pick up a shift.

I know this is a long review, and I never leave a review for a job. Nursing is hard enough without the stressors of  dealing with agency issues. There are also many good agencies out there that are not stressful to work for or to contact if you need to speak with someone. I hope Bridgeway can improve.

Horrible company. Don’t work there ever you will be in horrible facilities with no supplies and no support. Run!!!

As an assistant recruiter at BridgeWay, my experience has been positive and productive. I found the experience enriching. The flexible scheduling and diverse work environments provided excellent learning opportunities. While there were occasional communication issues, the overall experience was positive. I highly recommend The BridgeWay Firm for its commitment to employee growth and satisfaction.
