The employees are true Champions. We have a clinical staff that not only has the expertise in their field, but who also has compassion for our clients and patients. Our Customer Service team is great with our patients and clients and gets to know them on a first name basis.

Our field staff goes through thorough testing and training before they are put into the field and have constant supervision by the Clinical Team. We offer continuing education to enhance their skills as well.

The owner of the company is an Amazing Woman, who only wants to provide the best care possible to each client and patient and make a positive impact on their homecare experience. Even though she is very busy, she will always take the time to listen to her employees ideas and needs. She is very involved in the day to day operations of the company and really cares about what is going on with our patients, clients and employees.

I have been with the company for 10 years and the company has done nothing but grow to add new products and services to enhance patient care. We will opening a DME store in our corporate office, which will enable us to offer more products to our patients and clients for either pick up or delivery.

I would definitely recommend working for this company as it has many opportunities not only for learning, but also for job growth and fulfillment that you helping others in need, even if it is not by doing direct care.

Any family owned business will have its challenges with nepotism, but there is so much more complexity to it at this company. Individuals have acquired there respective roles and maintained them based solely on being family members or knowing family members. No one is happy with the owner or her daughter i.e. the CEO. They are actual dictators. You will be yelled at and spoken to in a way that reinforces the odd power dynamic that exists in this chaotic dictatorship of a business. Department supervisors are stretched thin and there is a lot of turnover, most of the ones that left while I was there left for lower paying jobs (which speaks volumes to the work environment). The turnover and unreasonable expectations at the supervisor level leaves upper management i.e. family members to run whole departments for which they do not have near enough knowledge let alone actual credentials to do so and lower level employees are left to complete everything....everything. Micromanagement is the worst of all the cons. There is no room for independent thought or any advancement. It is a "do as I say and do it now" kind of place and if you attempt to "push back" i.e. attempt to rationalize and process ethics you are considered a threat.

Poorly managed company--while immediate supervisors were very helpful and compassionate, the same cannot be said for the higher-ups. Policies and job descriptions changed on a weekly basis, which made it incredibly difficult to follow procedures for regular tasks, as no one really knew what was going on. The majority of the company is made of overdramatic, stuffy women who are more than happy to gossip about you behind your back, yell at you for making the slightest mistake, or take their complaints directly to the company president before approaching you. If upper management does not like you, chances are they won't fire you; instead, they'll do their best to try to drive you out of the company. No matter what you do, or how hard you try, someone else always thinks they can do your job better than you. I would NOT recommend NBN to anyone I know or care about, or even people I don't know or like. The time I spent working at NBN was the most stressful of my life and, on more than one occasion, I cried at work, before having to leave for work, or after coming home for the day. Trust me, save yourself some serious stress and do NOT work here.

This agency starts a lot of new cases often, but there pay rates are extremely low. Rate is $22(day)-23(night)/hr for LPNs which are below average not at all competitive as they advertise. They say they offer raises but it’s very rare. That rate isn’t bad if your a new nurse but that’s an insult to nurses with 5+ years experience. I’ve heard the rates are excellenct for RNs. Although the hours are available, sadly this company does not offer overtime. They will allow a patient to be without a nurse rather than pay overtime. Management/ Office staff including schedulers have cultivated a fear based environment. There’s a lot of finger pointing. Be careful with your nursing license and this company especially if your a new nurse. They will threaten to report you to the BON over ANYTHING (I can’t stress that enough) so be vigilant, or apply else where. This company sends field staff into the home cases blindly, as the only information provided about a patient is clinical and not about there home life or basic routine. It all a surprise once you arrive to orientate to the case. I’m not saying it’s a bad company to work for, but they could do better. I’m just giving an honest review.

Pros:
- You are pretty supported by staff, they quickly assist you with a lot of necessary things, such as competency assessments/RBT cert prep and other concerns (injury, reports, illness, etc) 
- They are great at getting back to you, i get immediate replies and help from the company when needed. They also will MAKE SURE you are safe, you are being treated appropriately and that the people you work with are aware and abide to the rules regarding your position
- The variety of cases has you meeting so many great individuals, any situation involving crisis or other ABA information is well trained to you and trained regularly. 


Cons:
- Hours are not consistent. Sometimes you will have a school case and randomly become switched out or moved. This is typically not the fault of the company though, it’s more the schools. Very rarely almost never they will have something available in something other than school (like clinics and centers.)
- Home cases are more available than school. So finding full time work is sometimes a little bit difficult. 
- Paperwork. so much paperwork

NBN Group is a growing heatlh care company, that deals with a lot of complex medical issues.  It can be hard sometimes to hear the stories of what our patients are dealing with, but at the same time is it also comforting to know that we are there to help them live the best quality of life they can.  All of the staff is extremely upbeat and friendly.  I have never worked for a company where the staff cares so much about the patients and families they care for.  The company set up a non profit to help some our patients during difficult times with many house hold items and other things such as heating and cooling bills, food, clothing, and provide holiday meals.  

Upper Management is always trying to think of fun new things to do for the holidays, like halloween costume contest, Christmas / Holdiay Tree decorating, etc...I can go on and on but it looks like I am running out of room to write!

I have had the pleasure of being not only an employee of The NBN Group, but also the parent of a child on service for over 8 years. The NBN Group is comprised of divisions to meet any patient's health care needs (under one roof) and staff which works with a team approach to service the needs of pediatrics through adults. I have been supported in any undertaking that I perform and encouraged to voice any concerns/opinions along the way. I have been entrusted with the privilege of representing the company in the field and am greeted with respect when I convey the company's name. I feel extremely fortunate to be employed by this company and felt compelled to share- in the event anyone is considering applying or utilizing their services.

On a positive note, the staff in the HR department consisted of kind and hardworking people who genuinely wanted to work together as a team.
The management of this company is lost. The COO is hardly ever heard from outside of an occasional nasty email.  Most in management are only interested in self preservation which leads to a lot of finger pointing and scapegoating and not much leadership. The vibe is here is full of mistrust and an overall adversarial  attitude towards the staff.
There is very minimal training offered here. The benefits offered are very expensive. There is no 401k match and the pto accrual policy is outdated and not at all generous.  Enter at your own risk!

I get to work with a team who truly cares about making a difference in the lives of so many, everyday is a learning experience and we are under pressure to meet the needs of our patients, we thrive under pressure and accomplish our goals simply by treating others how we would want to be treated. The hardest part of the job is accepting you can not control life mishaps, we are all eligible for sickness, car problems, family issues etc what we can control is giving 100% everyday and leaving work everyday knowing we gave it our all. The Nursing Department Team is amazing! I am proud to work with these Champions of Caring!

After working for a company who serviced NBN I was hired to work on site. I am extremely happy to be part of such an inspiring company.
The people who work here are dedicated to giving their best every day and going above and beyond when it comes to their patients. I feel proud to be associated with this company. The management allows people to take responsibility and when necessary bring new ideas to the table that would be beneficial to the company. It is very fast paced and you are expected to bring your A game every day , but the reward is that everyone is part of a team where you are respected for your contribution. There is always someone to give a hug, a laugh or tell you like it is when necessary. I appreciate that.
