The Stand Restaurants

Nice, clean, and modern looking restaurant. Customers weren’t too demanding, as long as you treated them right and cared. If this is your first job, you will learn a lot. It’s just too bad compensation and management wasn’t so great. You are not entitled to your own tip money, which blew my mind considering the amount of work this job required. If you’re putting in more work than other cashiers and making good tip money because of that, how is that fair?Job description says “cashier” but it is more than that. You not only cashier, you run food, pour alcoholic drinks, and bus everything.Even if you got a $30 tip from a customer because of the service you’ve given, it was distributed amongst everyone, including the cashiers that could care less about anything.  If you were sick, you were still expected to come in. Lots of favoritism and the people that actually worked were never appreciated for their efforts; were also heavily blamed for minuscule mistakes. Whereas the people that slacked off and did the bare minimum were the managers’ favorites. Pretty backwards culture if you ask me

What is the best part of working at The Stand Restaurants?
This company lets you be who you are as a person and encouraged you to use your personality to engage with the guest. It constantly training to insure we our prepare to do our day to day jobs. They treat you as a family not just another body in there building, they ask how they can do better or how it can makes one’s job easier. Hours are great and there flexible with all personal request. They always offer incentives while working. 

What is the most stressful part about working at The Stand Restaurants?
More stress full is when short staff. Other then that the work is hands down good place to work for. 

What is the work environment and culture like at The Stand Restaurants?
Exciting, full of energy. From staff to the corporate team are amazing and how they handle there employees and treated them with respect and understanding. 

What is a typical day like for you at The Stand Restaurants?
Awesome. Alway happy to come to work cause I know I have a full team to watch. Greet and engage with guest. Deliver and bag guest orders help with taking care of the restaurant Making sure it clean and ready for guest to sit down.

The Stand restaurants are one of the better food service companies I have worked for. Employees are held to the company's standard and maintaining that standard has made all the difference in regards to working as a team and guest satisfaction. In my time here, I learned how to better myself in terms of guest service, multitasking, and being detail orientated.  
My managers have all been supportive, understanding, and kind people who have set an example as leaders and my coworkers were pleasent. The base hourly pay is about average compared to other food service jobs, but you also get decent tips. Scheduling is pretty flexible as well. The job itself can be a bit overwhelming at first (especially for your first job) because there is a lot to learn and a lot of details, but you get into the rhythm of things fairly quickly. I was a cashier at the company for a few years and enjoyed my time here, it's a pretty solid part time or full time job and I would definitely recommend it to working students.

The “people piece” is what I value the most about this company. One can be a manager, a guest or a dishwasher, there is always someone at any company level to listen and to help.

The most stressful part of the job is not caused by the company  but other by the environment we are in at finding talent among staff we hire. 

What is the work environment and culture like at The Stand Restaurants?
The culture is one of the best I have worked for. during my management years. Even during difficult times, the company is kind, genuine, guiding and knows how to keep a high energy within its walls. 

What is a typical day like for you at The Stand Restaurants?
A typical day is to celebrate every guest that walks in, ensure the high quality of food and service within a location. I am also getting in charged of proper staffing during a shift and meeting financial and health code related goals.

The best part of the company would be the opportunities of growth and development that it provides along with the availability to work along side like minded people. 

What is the most stressful part about working at The Stand Restaurants?
The most stressful part of the job would be trying to decide what to eat on break, there are too many great options.

The work environment is welcoming and high energy. The store culture is consistent with the values of the company. Ethics, passion, and teamwork are exhibited each and everyday. 

What is a typical day like for you at The Stand Restaurants?
The typical day at The Stand consist of working alongside great employees, interacting with each and every customer that walks through the doors, and creating a high energy place that guest enjoy visiting.

There is a lot of potential within the business model, but nepotism, lack of training materials and inexperience made daily operations a NIGHTMARE. They flew by the seat of their pants, worrying only about the almighty dollar and never about establishing the correct systems to make daily life easy and manageable. They structured the business to run short-staffed and communication was all over the place. They expanded in a very unprofessional and greedy manner; they couldn’t staff current locations and poached their own restaurants to staff new openings, leaving the restaurants in a state of constant turmoil and training. This place truly sucks

What is the best part of working at The Stand Restaurants?
The family friendly atmosphere and environment which provides an amazing experience for anyone who walks into our doors. The joy I get from making our customers happy is what keeps me coming back every day. The Stand gives me the opportunity to do that on a daily basis.

The ins and outs of running restaruants can be stressfull in its nature. The Stand has systems in place to make sure whatever challenges we face, we are able to tackle them as a team and get through the day.

Inviting, fun, open, honest, energetic, passionate, etc. 

What is a typical day like for you at The Stand Restaurants?
In and our of our locations on a daily basis making sure we are following our standards and protocols.

What is the best part of working at The Stand Restaurants?
I love what i do so it doesn't really feel like work. Also everyone works together to make things flow properly.

Customers who seem unappreciative for what we do for them.

Work environment all depends on how well the manager select members who all work cohesively together. My manager did great, and we all get along and balance out one another's strengths and weaknesses.

What is a typical day like for you at The Stand Restaurants?
Walking in greeting teammates, then checking in with guest and serving food as well as great attitude to keep them coming back!

What is the best part of working at The Stand Restaurants?
The people,  How they make you feel welcomed and excited that you are part of the team. The food is Amazing!!

Nothing really if you are willing to learn The Stand Way and have an open mind set.

The environment is great, It all starts with the leadership in this company that makes you feel welcome.  

What is a typical day like for you at The Stand Restaurants?
It goes by fast because you are having fun, Its a fast and engaging with all the guest , You get to enjoy working here so pretty much is not work when your having fun!

I am so grateful for the mentorship I am receiving from my leaders.  This has been nothing but a learning experience for me. I really enjoy working for the Stand. 
It is a values-based company where we value passion, ethics, and teamwork.
Everyone is very supportive.

I appreciate the fact that management sees potential in me to grant me opportunities to train others, as well as climb the ladder of the many advancements that The Stand grants their employees.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with this company because they really care and value their team and employees.
